My 1989/136L can go beyond 180km/h on meter. Real speed on GPS goes to 175. But of course fuel consumption above 150km/h is very high around 16L/100km.

Regular steering wheel/shaft lock, but he had wheels turned too much, this car has no power steering, so the whole dynamic force from wheels was on the shaft and the locking lug, that´s why you need to lighten the load on steering shaft by turning the steering wheel a little... I had station wagon version of this car, simple, fun to drive, but extremely poor corosion resistance...

If you replace the spark plug cables, spark plugs with better ones with proper gap and somehow install a K&N air filter, you will see a different car, even more powerful than this for its small engine.
Was a little bit down hill or not? My skoda felicia year 97 with 50Kw goes only like 140km/h in fourth maybe if I had a long streach of road 150 but I feel like it would not do more, bsc if felt like it was all it had, throtle completly on the floor.

the problem with weaker skodas was that the 5th gear was too heavy for the engine to spin, so on later models they put a less heavy 5th gear, but then it used more fuel when cruising at 100-120km/h, especially on the 2001 felicia 1.3mpi that has enough power for a heavy 5th gear
If you can try an mk1 Fiat Uno, I will be very happy :D We had one with the early, carburated 1.0 FIRE engine and it was awesome, despite it doesn't even had 50 PS :D
Toto auto 135 L mělo výkon 40 KW. Starší verze 136 L měla výkon 46 KW. Fábia HTP 1.2 měla 44 KW a jel jsem s ní 17O km/hod. Ale byla zde vysoká spotřeba okolo 12-13 litrů/100 km.
@@jansafran8379 No a 136 L měl výkon 46 KW. Pozdější 135L měly výkon 40 KW a 50 KW. Tam již bylo první vstřikování a ne ten debilní karburátor, který měl automatický sytič. Ten vůbec nefungoval a ani jako nový! Bylo nutné si zakoupit vypínací strunu škrtící klapky sytiče za 140 kč. Do té doby to auto strašně žralo hlavně v zimě. Rekord mám 25 litrů na 100 km.
@@JanLippi Uváděl jsem verze 135 s prvním vstřikováním tedy 40 kw a 50 kw. Ani jsem netušil, že 135 měla ještě karburátor. Každopádně Vám věřím a děkuji za odpověď. Ono to tak bude a 135 s karburátorem mohla jezdit i na speciál 90. Klasický F 136 mohl jezdit pouze na super, protože měl větší kompresi a tudíž vyžadoval vyšší oktanové číslo.

Tak když okolo Boleslavi zkoušeli favority tak sem se za jednoho pikapa zavěsil a vytáhl to dle mého tachometru cca na 173km/h 😮 až pak mi uhnul abych ho mohl předjet. Bylo to zábavné 😊 řídil sem Renault 5 turbo Alpine.
increasing wear yes. But not killing it as long it has good oil in it and coolant. It's designed to withstand this for short periods. Of course you will kill it if you drive everyday like this.
This aluminium Škoda 1.3 engine was much better than VW 1.3. If developed right she would have much more potential. Škoda even had a 1.6 liter engine ready at that time but mamaVW stopped it.

Nice, 6 years ago I tried it in Germany with mine 135LS, mechanical carburator. Couldn't reach more than 150km/h.
I used to have 1989 Favorit, never any issues with. Great little cars!
A good car, simple and robust. In Italy we need cars like this, not electric or hybrid toilets full of electronics and defects that cost a fortune!

135 s karburatorem měla 43kw ne 40. 40kw meli verze s prvním vstřikováním.

@@viktoradam3195 135 se dělali až do konce (LX nebo GLX). I v roku 1993 se dali koupit 135 s karburaci a 43kw.
