This game seems really complicated but I feel like once you understand everything, it would be super fun! Too bad I'm a hermit single mom of toddlers with exactly 1 friend so, looks like I won't be playing anytime soon 🤕
Love this game. I played the 1st edition and I have the second edition. I really enjoyed seeing the review for the 3rd edition I can see the differences between the editions as well as the changes . As always great job explaining.
@@NaaiSekar-loyalfrom what I have seen by comparison from the previous version from this video . The difference so far is the art style of the game. It is more colorful . Also it has changed some main characters that you can choose to play . Since I haven’t played this version yet it does look like the explanation of how to play is better discribe than previous versions. This game does have different outcomes in general so it can be different from the previous versions as well . I say if you’re looking into getting it I recommend this version because it’s looks like they have explained things better. As for levels I don’t think it’s difficult. It’s more of who would be the traitor and how the game is approached with the other players. It can start as co-op and still be depending on the scenario that has been brought by the haunt event . The haunt event is what triggers how the end game will be and play to win.
On the attacks I noticed something that sounded odd, the crossbow clearly states "adjacent tiles" common sense would dictate you would need a direct line and can't shoot through walls, but 'adjacent tiles' is clear that it means 'right next to' even though you explained it as line of sight with more than 1 tile 'range'. This thought was later reinforced when you showed the gun card. which clearly states 'line of sight' as range. So I think that the crossbow wasn't the correct one to explain line of sight on, and is actually meant to only shoot adjacent tiles, like the card states. whereas the gun actually can shoot enemies/players more than 1 tile away. Other than that small remark, I enjoined the clear explanation of the rules, thanks :)
Great video, it was really informative! Just to clarify If a survivor moves through a tile where a monster is: Can you chose to just skip the room and run past it (if you have enough movements left) or do you need to fight it as soon as you are on the same tile? Also for the weapon part. If a person chooses a weapon that changes the stat you roll for does this only happen if you are the attacker? Or can you as the defender say I chose weapon X and now both have to roll on lets say sanity instead of might
1. You can choose to skip the monster, but leaving the room with the monster requires 2 speed instead of just 1. 2. Defenders cannot use weapons when they are attacked, so the skill check type would be determined by the attacker's weapon if applicable.
I've watched four teach videos -- this ones the best!
Thanks so much for your kind words!
Great video but i would like to point out on page 15 under the weapons section it says "You may not use a weapon to defend against an attack".
