Only cure for a POS Polaris….take a band saw to em! 😎 Great fix for a common problem. Those splines already looked pretty v’d/ worn. If this works on splines worn like that, you’re onto something for sure.
I’m doing the same funny came across this. Drilled a small hole and drill to it so it ended in a radius maybe keep from cracking. How did this go for you over the last year?
Do you think that squeezing the shaft like that helped or is it not worth the trouble?? I am either fixing to have to spend $400 on a new shaft when my old one is perfectly fine other than that wiggle from it being loose. If this would take care of the issue, I’d pull it all out just to try that cutting method.
