- Being A MASSIVE fan of the first Fantom rerelease, when Kyosho announced this year that we will be getting the next incarnation, the Fantom CRC-II, I was over the moon.
In this video, I build up the chassis, upgrade some of the parts and make a start, fitting some electronics.

Thanks for all the tips. It's greatly appreciated.
Awesome! Brings back many memories! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
That is a lovely looking kit, very nice ;)
I built this car with the Kyosho 13T gold brushless motor and ESC. Get them while you can and before resellers jack up the price. Adds to the shelf queen status! Plus the Kyosho ESC screws directly to the chassis (similar to the previous version but not upside down) for a clean install. I had the same issue with the steering links….so glad it wasn’t just me!
Fantastic car and fantastic build, what a quality kit !!!!
Glad you like it!
Amazing, with those gorgeous machined parts and the carbon.🥰👍
Nice build!
What a stunning looking chassis that is Gavin.....I'm green with envy.
Beautiful car wow 🤩 man so tempted to buy one great vid Gavin 👍👍🤩🏅
That's a great looking chassis 👍
It sure is Sean
Awesome build
Those tie rods were probably right as they were probably meant to have a bit of toe out 👍
Another way to fit the front hub is to loosen the top plate screws will also give you a bit more space or fit every thing to the lower plate then add the top plate and parts.
With being a four wheel drive car, perhaps maybe it should have toe out on the front wheels?.
Looking at the excellent video, thanks to Gavin's great skills
I'm surprised how much the rear suspension moves in it's travel compared to the front suspension which seems to have very little.
I had the nitro version of this ⛽️🔥
I didn't know there was a nitro version of this car. Very cool. I like nitro models.
Fab build, how stunning! Would it flex as much with the provided chassis I wonder?! It needs the chrome Kyosho esc with all that carbon btw..... your Christmas present of Rebecca maybe 🤔 ☃️🎄🎁🎅
Still thinking about it
There is a conventional belt conversion for this chassis isn't there? that would be cool.
I haven’t seen one.
Little dinky build. Look forward to seeing the end result 😎
Did you have to re-split the front beam to get the chain round the front pulley?
No you can just feed it around the front sprocket
How, split link?
The chain is not joined. You remove some links and then join it. I’m here trying to see how much slack the chain should have as it’s not super clear in the manual
If it ain’t Nitro… it ain’t no use 🙁🏎💨🇯🇵
Don't hate
Tune up
