Hi SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOG FROM06 ....I think you can go to there website and take a virtual tour of the campus. My son, Tristan, and his BFF both got into USC. But, they are still waiting to hear from a few more schools before making a decision.
SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOG FROM06 ...that would be awesome!!!! You should check out the new "Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young (Dr. Dre) Academy. This is the first year.
USC is a beautiful campus,it's my dream school that would complete my academic journey after I finish my undergraduate work, but I go to Cal Poly Pomona, that's another beautiful campus to walk through
Hi Brandon: Cal Poly Pomona is an awesome school! My son ended graduated from USC last May. It was his dream school too. He had a fantastic experience there. USC is great for all your future connections. It's really big on helping Alumni. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks for posting this! I have been unable to visit many schools, but I am extremely interested in from both Berkeley (03/26) and Stanford (04/01) - so thanks. I am from SoCal, so I have been to USC & UCLA many times, but this was also great. I need to hear back from USC still, but I got into UCLA last Friday, which was great. Thank you, once again!
Hi Hunter Casperson I'm so glad you liked my College Tour! And a BIG Congrats on the UCLA acceptance! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you with USC. It looks like those will be coming in the mail any day now! USC is my son's top pick! Be sure to let me know which college you choose! xo, Michele
So it turns out I got accepted to USC, but for the spring semester. However, I got into my dream school, UC Berkeley! I hope your son got into the school of choice; if not, I'm sure he will make the best of wherever he goes.
Whoo Hoo Hunter Casperson That's fantastic! Tristan's dream school was USC and he got in!!! You must be so proud of yourself!!!! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
Hi +stephanie jade Thanks for loving my video! I just saw your comment! My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. What school did you end up choosing? Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Best of luck to your son on these last few weeks of college apps (especially for the UCs due in a few days)! (: I was raised in Berkeley & am currently attending UC Davis. All 7 campuses are wonderful. I am sure he will love whichever school he ends up at!
Hi +Chelsey Chen Thanks for loving my video! I just saw your comment! My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. They both got into there 1st picks! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
I'm a sophomore at Pepperdine and love it! I was deciding between USC, UCLA, and Pepperdine and I feel like I made a great decision. The alumni pool is extremely well connected to almost everyone who graduates gets an amazing job!
Oh gosh this reminds me of Fall 2014. The hectic time of visiting schools, filling out apps, and writing supplements. So glad I'm done with college apps! Good luck to you, your son, and his friend!
Hi ***** …It sure is a hectic time! I bet you are sooo happy to be done!!!! The boys have pretty much finished with all of their apps…phew! Tristan already heard from Loyola Marymount…it's a "Yes." He also received a call on Friday from UPenn asking to interview him. And Andre got a call to interview with Harvard! Needless to say they were both excited about that! So, now we just wait until March or April to hear from everyone else! Good luck to you too Christian! Be sure to let me know where you decide to attend! xo, Michele
USC is my absolute dream I have wanted to go there since before I can remember and I love it so much. However, I also really liked Pepperdine when I visited.
Hi +Christine Abrell Those are both great schools! My son, Tristan...the blonde in the video is now at USC! That was his dream school too! Good luck to you! Happy Holidays! xo, Michele
Love the "fight on" at 7:47 even though you weren't at usc anymore! I go to usc and am so glad Tristan got in! It's amazing and I love it here, I think he'll have a great time.
Hi PrincessPerfectMe ...LOL! "Fight On" became the boys motto throughout the college tour! Tristan is super happy! He got into the Veterbi School of Engineering. It's great to hear you love it! We went to the Explore USC a few days ago and it was awesome! Fight On!!! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
Thank you so much for this video! I'm a rising senior living in Texas and unfortunately my family doesn't have the funds to do anymore college visits... but UCLA, Berkeley and Stanford are definitely on my list. They're a bit of reach schools considering I'm OOS, but I'm hopeful to slightly bump up my SAT scores to be in a safer position when applying this fall.
Thanks for taking the time to make the video Michele, and family! Being from New Zealand and trying to narrow down possible schools is a challenge, esp as we are focussed on California, due to NCAA Waterpolo and also possibly NCAA Basketball! Gave some good insights.
Hi Tony: Thanks for loving the video. I'm so glad it was helpful. I'm going to do a follow up video soon since they will be graduating this year. Best of luck to you and your journey! xo, Michele
Visited LMU, Chapman, Whittier, Pepperdine, UC Irvine, USD, and UCLA in 4 days too! Waiting to hear most schools, but got accepted to my top choice: LMU :D Good luck to your son and his friend!
Hi capecod12345 …You did a lot of touring too! That's awesome you already know you got in your top pick!!!! Congratulations! My son, Tristan, got accepted to LMU too! Now we all wait to hear from all the other schools! Be sure to let me know where you end up going! xo, Michele
Great video! Definitely gave me more of a feel for each campus. I applied to USC, Berkeley, Stanford, and Pepperdine out of the 7. Now i'm just waiting for the decisions!
Hi CookiesNCream4ever …Glad you liked my video!!!! My son and his buddy are still waiting too! This next couple of weeks you guys should know!!!! Fingers crossed! Be sure to let me know where you decide to attend! Have a fantastic day! xo, Michele
Thanks so much for posting this! Just got into masters program at two of the Universities and since im international I can't visit the schools! Love seeing a non-advertisement video of the different campuses!
Hi J WONG …You deserve a HUGE Congratulations! All of the schools are fantastic. I'm curious which schools did you get into? We are waiting to hear which from all the schools. So far they both got into Loyola Marymount. Good luck to you and your choice! xo, Michele
I love your videos! I'm a senior in high school going off to either SDSU or SFSU ( still can't decide which one to choose) next fall and i was hoping if you could do like a dorm room decor series. Especially since your son is also going to college and your daughter is already there. You have experience in what to bring and how to decorate :) It would be really cool if you got a chance to do something like that! Anywho, thanks for the awesome videos!
Hi daisymichellexoxo You have two great schools to choose from! My husband went to SDSU and loved it! And one of my daughter's BFF's goes to SFSU and loves it. So really either choice will be awesome! My son, Tristan did early action on only one school so he already found out Loyola Marymount accepted him. Now he has to wait until March to find out the rest of them. I will put your Dorm Ideas videos on my list for sure! Be sure to check out Lily's Dorm Room Tour video: ua-cam.com/video/sTbf9dR1MqU/v-deo.html and also this video: ua-cam.com/video/CqD5BBGnyEs/v-deo.html. Have an awesome New Year! xo, Michele

This is amazing! I have wanted to go to Stanford since I was in the 5th grade and I am a junior now. A lot of the schools you visited i would like to visit too. I can't believe you visited 7 schools in 4 days! I can only hope to be that productive. Only problem is i live in PA so i would have to calculate hours of flying into that equation. Thanks for the video, hope the best for your child and his friend.
Hi Dazjah Washington …I'm so glad you liked my video! It was a fun and very tiring 4 days! The boys have finished all of there applications so now we wait! My son, Tristan, already found out he got into Loyola Marymount…so that's great! He did an early app for LMU. Andre got a call for an interview with Harvard and Tristan got a call for an interview with University of Pennsylvania. Good luck to you and "Stanford!!!" I'l be giving an update video when they get all of their acceptance letters. xo, Michele
Hi +Blanca Diaz Thanks for loving my video! I just saw your comment! My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. They both got into there 1st picks! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi ***** …I'm so glad you liked my video! And good luck these next 2 months if you are applying right now! Be sure to let me know when you get your acceptance letters which school you choose!!! xo, Michele
Hi Liznadra Aceves …Congratulations! My daughter, who's in her 3rd year at Loyola Marymount, has a lot of friends at Davis. They all Looooove it! You are going to love college! xo, Michele
Hi! I am a Washingtonian and a current student at the University of Washington.Though I love my school, it does not necessarily have everything I need for my film/production interests. I want to transfer and picking a school, being out of state, is difficult. I have been searching the web for virtual tours and finding your video made everything 10x easier and that much more real. Thank you so much for this! I really liked UC Davis, the trees remind me a lot of WA- a home away from home! Best of luck to you all
Hi +Yaneli Perez Thank you for the awesome compliment! Davis is a beautiful school! My daughter, who has a cameo in this video, will be graduating from Loyola Marymount this year in the Film & Television department for screenwriting and acting. Her boyfriend graduated last year in Film Production. They both loved the department and made a lot of connections! My daughter chose LMU because she is a working actress and LMU did not frown on her going out on auditions. USC and UCLA are also fantastic schools for Film/TV!!! My son, Tristan, is now at USC. He loves it!!! It feels like a back east school on campus. Off campus is very urban. Good luck on your journey to find the best match for you! xo, Michele
Thank you very much Michele! And good luck to your daughter, I know she will go very far! I am applying to all those schools as well as Chapman and LMU! Bless your family and thank you for responding :)
Hi +Yaneli Perez Thanks for your sweet message! I know a few kids that are at Chapman and they both love it! Good luck on your applications! Be sure to let me know where you end up! xo, Michele
Thanks for posting this! I really want to go to a UC since next year is my senior year! I am out of state so I can't really go see for myself, UCLA and Berkeley look beautiful. Best of luck to both!
Hi +Andrew Gilbert She was great! I don't know how she walks backwards and doesn't run into anything. Tristan is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi +Lina We were having Santa Ana weather which makes it super dry. So, Tristan kept getting bloody noses...poor kid! Have fun checking out all of the schools! Happy Holidays! xo, Michele
I love the video you made the background music fits as well. I see Pepperdine has an amazing seaside location, but the campus beauty I'm gonna say Stanford. The kids seem to be Berkeley sports fan ! but which university did they get accepted in ?
I'm glad you like my video! My son is now a senior at USC! Time really flew by! USC was his dream school for so many reasons. Besides the the exceptional education he really wanted to experience a school the had football games, diverse students from so many different countries, on campus Greek Life, and the Alumni benefits that are so important after graduation. He has made lifelong friends. I will definitely need to do an updated video at the end of the year! xo, Michele
I love this video! I got into UCLA! Which is my dream school! I also got into UC Davis. Now just waiting to hear from UC Riverside and Berkeley. I wish the best of luck to your son and his friend!
Hi Apollo Thanks for loving my video!!! And a BIG Congrats on UCLA!!! The boys both go into their dream schools! Tristan (my son) is going to USC! Andre is going to UCLA! Wishing you so much success!!! xo, Michele
Thank you so much! and congratulations to your son and his friend! It's interesting how they're going to rival schools! I hope you make more videos about them going to university :)
Thanks Apollo ...I'm definitely making more videos with them! I have one coming soon. ...and yes, it's super funny they are now at rival schools! Did you end up committing to UCLA? Have a fantastic weekend! xo, Michele
Michele Baratta Yeah I did :) it has always been my dream school since I was little. I grew up here, so it's always been like my goal and something to strive for. Did Andre go to Bruin Day? I wish them the best of luck and success! You should encourage them to start vlogging! :)
That's fantastic!!! So all three of you ended up at your DREAM School! Whoo Hoo!!! Andre went to an all day thing a few weeks ago. Was that Bruin Day? I will try and get them to send me some Vlogs to add to my College Series.
This was great, really. I am desperately trying to choose -Not heard from UCLA, UCB ,or Stanford yet, but has got into UCSB, UCD, and UCSD so far. Can't choose anyway. :D I wish good luck for both the boys.
Hi +Saina Ghadiany Thanks for loving my video! It looks like you had lots of choices!!!! My son (long blonde hair) is at USC and his buddy is at UCLA. They both got in there 1st picks! Have a fantastic day! xo, Michele
Hi +Cassandra Vogel So sorry for the really long overdue response. I never saw your comment until now. Tristan is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. Have a fantastic day! xo, Michele
Fight On!!! That's awesome you are a Film & Television Major! My son, Tristan, is actually a working actor too. And my daughter was a Film & Television Major at LMU. She is now a comedy screenwriter. You can check her out on instagram or UA-cam. They're writing team is called "The Eskimo Sisters" . Best of luck to you in the Biz! xo, Michele
Hi Mandy Razon USC is an awesome goal!!! Work hard and you can do it!!!! My son, Tristan, will be attending USC for Engineering!!! That was his dream school too! "Fight On!" That's there motto if you didn't know... Have an awesome day! xo, MIchele
Hi +Fahad Khan Thanks you so much for loving my video! It was a lot of work! My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. They are almost done with there first year! Good luck to you! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
My dream school is by far UC Davis. I have looked at many videos on how to get in. Just something about Davis just looks friendly and fun. It's not a stressful school like Berkeley but you will get a good education. What did your son think about it?
Hi +ShadowXtwinkey Tarts UC Davis is an awesome school! My son is now at his dream school...USC! And his BFF, Andre, is also at his dream school...UCLA! Good Luck to you! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
Very nice video. I live in California and the universities in here are really nice looking; many have that "west coast beach like" look, which is appealing to many students, but for some reason I decided to get away from here haha. I will be attending Oregon State University, which is more on the forest/nature side of the spectrum.
Why am I kinda wishing they two could finally go to the same college, so that we could see their move-in together for the next video... Uh don't know if this is a bit too idealistic Btw 7 campuses tour is so unbelievable!
Hi MrSiomys …That would be very cool! I love that idea!!!!! They would love to be at the same school too! They're are in the middle of all the college application stuff right now. So, lots of stress in my house right now! ….and "Yes" it was a lot of schools in 4 days! I don't even know how we did it! Thanks for your sweet comment. xo, Michele
Sorry for the late reply!!! Thanks for the super sweet comment! And a BIG Congratulations on attending Pepperdine!!! Thats's an awesome choice! Best of luck to you. xo, Michele
What a nice video! I am in the middle of the college tours with my daughter as well! She just finished looking at the Norcal Schools and has seen most of the Socal ones. She was in love with Berkeley, Davis and my alma mater, UCLA. Which schools did they choose?
Hi Angela Alcerro It sounds like you and your daughter are on top of it! My son, Tristan, choose USC. And is buddy, Andre, choose UCLA. They both got into there top pick!!! They just started there second year and are both loving it!!! Good luck to your daughter! xo, Michele
Was this over the summer? How did you plan this tour? I don't live in America but I want to go and visit this summer so I would like some advice on how to plan. My parents want me to do this on my own and I don't really know where to start. You look like you had a fantastic tour though, and I would like to experience the same!
Hi +Mitobe Rinnosuke (Chanty) We did the college tour over Spring Break a year ago. The best way to tour all the schools is to start in Los Angeles and go up the coast. Touring no more than 2 schools per day. It's a long day! Each tour is approximately 2 hours. Summer time would be a great time to tour. It's defiantly well worth the trip if you can do it! Good luck to you! xo, Michele
Hi Ironballs McGinty ...So glad you liked my video! My son is Tristan, he's the one with the long hair. He got into Loyola Marymount and University of Colorado so far. Today or tomorrow we should be hearing from USC....fingers crossed! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
All of those schools have pretty low acceptance rates! USC and UCLA are like 16-19%! What were there grades like? and did they do extraordinarily well on the SAT/ACT?
They both had above a 4.0 average. Andre did Exceptional on the ACT test. My son, Tristan, took the SAT and did great but not exceptional. I think it comes down to your personal essay. They both took AP courses in there junior and senior year. Andre was the ASB President of the student body and played volleyball. My son played volleyball, soccer and was the ASB Commissioner of the arts, and was also a working actor . They lhad extracurriculars which are very important. When you talk to the admissions advisor they will tell you that your personal essay is one of the most important pieces of your application . They both Worked very hard in school. I hope that helped. Xo, Michele
Hi C. P. ...Thanks for loving my video! If you read the reply above I wrote about what tests they took, AP classes, etc. Have a blast on all the college tours!!!! Its a really exciting time! And you will end up where you are supposed to be!!! xo, Michele
Hi +MariannaMcNeil We just drove from San Diego to UC Davis and stopped at all the colleges in between. I pre-booked all of the tours for each school and really stuck to the schedule. Each tour is around 2 hours. A few of the schools are close together so those are the ones you should tour on the same day. Peperdine University, USC, UCLA, and Loyola Marymount are all within a half hour of one another. So, take a morning tour at one and afternoon at another. Hope that helps. Have fun!!!! Have a fabulous day! xo, Michele
I'm interested in your daughter's experience at LMU. We're from Ohio and when we visited colleges in LA for film, we went to Pepperdine, Chapman, USC, and UCLA. My daughter thought the last two were too large. But we never got to LMU (unfortunately, my daughter thought it was an all girls school so she didn't investigate further and since our trip she's researched and really regretted not visiting. She did apply. Just love to know from a mom the perspective of what you thought about the University and the film program, and why did your daughter choose that University?
Hi +Jenny Goodman All the schools you visited are great schools for Film! Too bad you didn't visit the Film department at LMU. My daughter gives the tours of that department! My daughter is a senior now and is a double major. Theater acting & Screenwriting. She knew Loyola Marymount University was a perfect for her because she was already a working actor and LMU allowed her to go out on auditions, etc. USC, UCLA, NYU frowned upon it which was counter productive considering most actors end goal is to get an agent and go out on auditions. But, if your daughter is interested in making films and not acting then USC, UCLA, and Chapman are also fantastic choices. Pepperdine shouldn't really be on your list. My son is at USC and loves it!!!! He's an actor too! But, he is an engineer major at USC. USC & LMU are fantastic for connections! My daughter works on a lot of films with USC students too. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for letting me ramble about my kids! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
It's a nice video and as the classic song goes, "accent the positive, eliminate the negative" Most of the videos show how school is supposed to be, not the reality for some of us. As most of the comments posted, I too was excited about being accepted then starting UC Davis. This is to inform others of the possibility that they too may experience by attending UC Davis. The problems started after I was accepted for Fall Quarter 2010. First the paperwork got screwed up and my TAG was approved on appeal; no big deal right other than the issue delaying my start until Winter 2011. I was excited to finally start working on my BA, however a lot of students from Los Rios Community Colleges started their harassment, the harassment then transferred over to the UC Davis campus where not only was I subjected to harassment but hate also for being at UC Davis. The hate and harassment used on the UC Davis campus caused sleep deprivation, then when I requested help for the sleep deprivation, UC Davis doctors deliberately injured me even further and because of their negligence, I was left unconscious for a week, when I finally regained consciousness, I returned to UC Davis seeking emergency medical services, the doctors at UC Davis knew it was because of the medication that they gave me and refused and denied emergency medical services, and Student Judicial Affairs withdrew me from the university instead of being provided with emergency medical services. by doing so, they intentionally wanted me to be injured. I was informed that one of my professors had reported me missing, however, no one from UC Davis looked for me, even when I was left missing and unconscious for a week. This is to alert the public about how dangerous UC Davis staff can really be, and to avoid their doctors. I am a senior, and transferring away from UC Davis because staff and professors allow hostilities and discrimination in the classrooms and on campus towards Latinos. Student Judicial Affairs blame a person for the hostilities and discrimination.
Hi +A OF What a horrible experience you had at school! Don't let this experience define you! Just learn from it and move forward! I wish you so much luck at your new school! Be sure to let me know where you end up going! Have a fantastic day! xo, Michele
Hey Oz O USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, University of Colorado, UCSB, UC Riverside, UCSD, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley. My son, Tristan, is probably going to end up at USC! Andre is leaning towards UCLA! Those were both there top picks! xo, Michele
Hi +Stephano Vargas Loooove USC! That is where my son is now attending. He's the one with the long hair in the video. The campus is very safe. They have the largest private police force that has a strong presence on and around campus. He is absolutely loving it. We also spend a lot of time there too. We have season tickets to the football game. So, we will be there for tomorrows game! Have a fantastic day! xo, Michele
Hi alswn23 You had some awesome choices!!! You are one of the very few who have that choice! You must be so proud of yourself! I have a video "Reveal" of which schools they chose coming soon. But, I'll tell you since you asked. My son, Tristan, will be attending USC for Engineering!!! That was his dream school! And Andre will be with you at UCLA...that was his top pick! They will be rivals...hahaha! Be sure you are subscribed and then you can see the boys video. Congrats on UCLA! Have an awesome day! xo, MIchele
Hi Wasi Zaman A BIG Congrats to you!!!!! They are still waiting to hear from most of the schools they applied to. My son, Tristan, has only heard back from "2" schools so far and he got into both of them, Loyola Marymount & U of Colorado. His buddy, Andre, so far heard from Loyola Marymount and UC Riverside and got into both. This next few weeks we should know!!!! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
Hi Peiliang Du: I actually don't remember that at all!!! But, that is awesome you were accepted to Davis!!! It is a fantastic school! One of my daughter's friends just graduated from Davis and she Loved it!!! Good luck on your pick! xo, Michele
Hi LiamCampbell13 ...Thanks for asking!!! Tristan's top pick is USC. Andre's top pick is UCLA. And they both really liked Berkeley too! So, fingers crossed they get their top picks! xo, Michele
Hi +avixxi Thanks for loving video!!!! LOL...The USC guide did say "um" a lot. But, the most remarkable thing about the guides is that they all walk backwards. It's impressive!!! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Michelle this was a great post. I am looking at taking my daughter next summer. I was hoping you can share a bit of insight. If you had to do it again would you still do all 7 schools or drop a school. Did you contact the schools in advance for the tours? Where did Tristan and Andre end up applying/going? Great video!!
Hi Shanee Bryan ...Thanks for loving my video! I would not drop any of the schools because they are all so different and a few are close together. I did contact the schools ahead of time to set up tours. You really can't just drop by and expect to be added to a tour. The touring was very tiring but so worth it! My son, Tristan (long blonde hair), will be attending USC School of Engineering. Andre will be attending the rival school UCLA for Neuroscience. Have fun on your touring!!! This period of time goes so fast!!! xo, Michele
CONGRATULATIONS on great schools and great majors. I'm sure you're one proud mom! Did the tours help them solidify their top school? Did you stay on campus overnight for any tours? Thanks again.
Thanks Shanee Bryan !!!! I am a super proud Mom!!!! You definitely should not miss the tours! They are well worth it. And they really helped them with there decisions. We did not stay overnight at any of the campuses.
How did your daughter get into film and television. Were there any courses she took in high school that made colleges notice she had had experience it in? Or did she go to any film classes out high school?
Hi +Maggie Sophia (Magdarella07) Both my kids have acted in theatre since they were little. Lily acted in high school plays too. She took acting & voice lessons and attended workshops outside of school with an acting coach. When she was 18 she auditioned and was able to be a part of "Groundlings" workshops in Los Angeles. Groundlings is where a lot of the famous comedy SNL actors come from. When she was about 15 she asked if I could help her get an agent. She signed with Abrams Artist and so she went on a lot of auditions and booked different roles. I think what helped her get into Film School was not only her portfolio of work...but, her tenacity. She knew Loyola Marymount University was a perfect for her because she was already a working actor and LMU allowed her to go out on auditions, etc. USC, UCLA, NYU frowned upon it which was counter productive considering most actors end goal is to get an agent and go out on auditions. Lily showed up at the head of the LMU Film & Television's office and asked to meet with him. They sat and talked for an hour and I think that is what got her into the school. ALWAYS find the person who can make things happen and meet with them and make an impression even if you don't have a lot of acting experience. Remember, they are looking for potential. They will be able to see that in an audition. My son, Tristan, is also an actor. He's actually in a Coca Cola commercial right now. He doesn't want to be an actor. He's an engineer student at USC. He just acts to save money. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for letting me ramble about my kids! Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
I would love to attend Stanford for University.. I'm hoping to study psychology. Although, I'm from Canadian so applying may be difficult... :/ I'm still 3 years away from university though, so there's plenty of time to work everything out :)
Hi +Kayla Lee Stanford is an awesome University! You are very smart to start early on your college path. Good luck to you in following your dreams to study psychology. Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Wow +Ana That's so cool!!!!! So, how do you like Davis? Tristan ended up at USCand he loves it! And his buddy, Andre, as at UCLA! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi +hannah vail We did the college tour over Spring Break in there Junior year. The best way to tour all the schools is to start in Los Angeles and go up the coast. Touring no more than 2 schools per day. It's a long day! Each tour is approximately 2 hours. Summer time would be a great time to tour too. If you look at each schools website they have a section for perspective students. They will list tour dates and times available. You can also call the school directly. They are all super helpful. It's definitely well worth the trip if you can do it! Good luck to you! xo, Michele
I'm interested in your daughter's experience at LMU. We're from Ohio and when we visited colleges in LA for film, we went to Pepperdine, Chapman, USC, and UCLA. My daughter thought the last two were too large. But we never got to LMU (unfortunately, my daughter thought it was an all girls school so she didn't investigate further and since our trip she's researched and really regretted not visiting0. She did apply. Just love to know from a mom the perspective of what you thought about the University and the film program, and why did your daughter choose that University?
Hi +Jenny Goodman LMU is a great school! It's in a fantastic location and it's very safe. It's also a small school. My daughter will be graduating this year. She is a Film & Television major and chose LMU over USC & UCLA because they allowed her more flexibility being that she was already a working actor in the industry. My son, the blonde in this video, is a Freshman at USC for Engineering. He absolutely loves it! And we love it too! We have season tickets to the football games. It's a BIG school but feels very small when you are on campus. I love both schools equally. It really depends on your daughter and what she is looking for. Good luck on her College Journey! They always end up where they are supposed to be! xo, Michele
+Jenny Goodman ...to add on to my reply.... I forgot to mention that my daughter's experience at LMU with her professors have been awesome! They are very involved in each student. She has a "Team" behind her!
Hi +Lydia Siler Both schools don't have a pre-med major. They have a pre-med track or pre-health. Both schools are top level schools. You really can't go wrong with either school. My son (the blonde) is now at USC. It LOVES it!!!! Good luck on your applications! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
I want to go to Ucla,USC,Stanford, and Uc David and i can not chose which one they all have a good medicine school because I want to be a doctor but I'm in my second year of middle school
Hi +J.C. Allen Those are all great schools! Thanks for loving my video! I just saw your comment! My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. They both got into there 1st picks! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi DestroyerPvP I have a video coming soon with the boys revealing the schools they picked. But, since you asked...my son, Tristan, will be attending USC. And Andre will be attending the rival school, UCLA! They both got into their top picks!!! They couldn't be more excited!!! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi Michelle Jordan ...I will be posting a video next week with their college choice!!! Be sure you are subbed so you know when I post it!Have an awesome week! xo, Michele
Hi +yourstrulycbz That is Loyola Marymount University. My daughter is a Senior there in Film & Television. My son, Tristan, is now at USC and Andre is at UCLA. Have an awesome day! xo, Michele

Hi +Devorah Augustin UCLA is an awesome school! Andre is now at UCLA and loves it! My son, Tristan, is at USC now and loves that too! Good luck to you! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Hi +Alex Espinosa Because The boys both had very high GPAs we were only looking at schools that would match there caliber...including Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. But, there are some fantastic state schools too! Have an awesome day! xo, Michele
Oh my I'm a sophomore this year and next year I'll take my ever-first-honor class is honor Pre-Calculus :))), and...the SAT T_T, then senior year AP Psychology. I wish to get into Stanford, UCLA, or UCI but I don't know if I can or not :), I'm scared of the SAT though...
Hi Minh Dang Le …It's great you are on top of everything! You will do great! The biggest tip I have about the SAT is to take a lot of practice tests. They have them in the Princeton Review and Baron's SAT books. Good Luck! xo, Michele
Hi Minh Dang Le …Tristan (my son with the long blonde hair) and Andre both did great on the SAT. But remember that your personal essay and your extra curricular activities are just as important as grades and SAT or ACT scores. :)
Lol my first semester for Sophomore year are 3.8 without PE (with PE is 3.83). Doing 3 clubs this year and add one more club this year ^^. Hope this help me :)
WOW!!!!! That's a fantastic GPA Minh Dang Le !!! …Keep up the good work! That's fantastic that you are in 3 clubs! But don't overwhelm yourself with too many clubs! If you focus on a few or even one that you become a "Leader" in it will show commitment to the the club... that is more important. Another BIG tip when it comes time to essay writing….Be sure that you write about YOU! They don't want to hear all the amazing things a relative or parent may have accomplished, unless it's a "tiny bit relevant" to your personal statement. We know someone from Harvard that was in admissions for 25 years. He said that they want to hear about a little slice of your life. I hope that helps! xo, Michele
Thank you for making us your first stop! We hope that you really enjoyed your visit.
Hi Pepperdine University …your campus was beautiful! The boys loved it!
xo, Michele
Thanks SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOG FROM06
Hi SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOG FROM06 ....I think you can go to there website and take a virtual tour of the campus.
Hi SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOG FROM06 ...nice to meet you too David!
It's great that they both got into their dream schools, but it's funny how theyre best friends going to rival schools.
Hi +Nyla Mae I know it's super cool! And they tease each other all the time!
Have a fantastic day!
xo, Michele
Have an awesome week!
xo, Michele
That's so awesome! Congrats to him!!!
Thanks Hunter Casperson !!! He's super excited!!!!
I'm looking at USC right now and the whole college process is very stressful. Senior year is fun so far! Good luck to the boys! :)
I was raised in Berkeley & am currently attending UC Davis.

I'm a sophomore at Pepperdine and love it! I was deciding between USC, UCLA, and Pepperdine and I feel like I made a great decision. The alumni pool is extremely well connected to almost everyone who graduates gets an amazing job!
Hi Cora LovesGlam That's so awesome you are attending Pepperdine. It's a beautiful school!
xo, Michele
Cora LovesGlam Fuck a 9-5, I rather stay high.
Happy Holidays!
xo, Michele
+Michele Baratta Where did Andre go
Hi +SamoanKiing55 Gaming Andre is at UCLA!
Have an awesome week!
Hi Evan Diaz I'm so glad you liked my video!!!! Good luck to you on your apps!!!
Have an awesome week!
xo, Michele
UC Davis is really pretty
Yes, I agree! It is beautiful!
Have a fantastic day!
Xo, Michele
pretty but horrible academics for any body doing sociology
Thanks for taking the time to make the video Michele, and family! Being from New Zealand and trying to narrow down possible schools is a challenge, esp as we are focussed on California, due to NCAA Waterpolo and also possibly NCAA Basketball! Gave some good insights.
Hi Tony: Thanks for loving the video. I'm so glad it was helpful. I'm going to do a follow up video soon since they will be graduating this year. Best of luck to you and your journey! xo, Michele
It's cool that you guys toured different colleges. I just went to local state college for the cheap tuition.
this made me so happy for some reason you guys have such positive family vibes and i wish the best to you all
Awe... Thank you for such a sweet comment! Wishing you the best as well!

Good luck to you and "Stanford!!!" I'l be giving an update video when they get all of their acceptance letters.
xo, Michele
Woohoo, I'm glad you came to Stanford!
Hi +Blanca Diaz Thanks for loving my video! I just saw your comment!

Hi +Molly Rose Thanks for loving my video! Good luck on your journey!

Can we get a video about what extra curriculars, AP classes, etc, that Tristan and Andre did in order to get into the UC system?
Thanks for posting this! I really want to go to a UC since next year is my senior year! I am out of state so I can't really go see for myself, UCLA and Berkeley look beautiful. Best of luck to both!

Thank you for recording this trip and I was wondering what made USC your son’s dream school
I will definitely need to do an updated video at the end of the year! xo, Michele
Best of luck! I hope you enjoyed touring Berkeley! I'm a current undergrad there :)
Hi fitchmate2321 They loved Berkeley!
I love this video! I got into UCLA! Which is my dream school! I also got into UC Davis. Now just waiting to hear from UC Riverside and Berkeley.

That's fantastic!!! So all three of you ended up at your DREAM School! Whoo Hoo!!!
Andre went to an all day thing a few weeks ago. Was that Bruin Day? I will try and get them to send me some Vlogs to add to my College Series.

Michele Baratta thanks! You too!
+ShadowXtwinkey Hi! I actually go to UC Davis and work as a tour guide here! If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to message me :)
Sarah Weigel okay thanks!
+Sarah Weigel what's a bio major like at UC Davis?
Very nice video. I live in California and the universities in here are really nice looking; many have that "west coast beach like" look, which is appealing to many students, but for some reason I decided to get away from here haha. I will be attending Oregon State University, which is more on the forest/nature side of the spectrum.
Hi +266sasuke Oregon is beautiful too!
Have a fantastic day!

Why am I kinda wishing they two could finally go to the same college, so that we could see their move-in together for the next video... Uh don't know if this is a bit too idealistic
Btw 7 campuses tour is so unbelievable!

Michele Baratta That's pretty cool. I got into their Law School. I'm thinking either I'll go to USC or Berkeley.
Hi :-) I just got my acceptance letter a couple weeks ago. Hope you got good news too!!

Your boys are so cute and so are you !
Hi Angela Alcerro
It sounds like you and your daughter are on top of it! My son, Tristan, choose USC. And is buddy, Andre, choose UCLA. They both got into there top pick!!! They just started there second year and are both loving it!!! Good luck to your daughter!

Good luck to you!
xo, Michele
Great video - my 12 year old loved it. He is a big SC guy but enjoyed seeing the campuses. Did your son get any acceptances yet?
And you will end up where you are supposed to be!!!
xo, Michele
I'm planning a college tour for Spring Break and I was wondering how you planned your tour in such a short amount of time
Hi +MariannaMcNeil We just drove from San Diego to UC Davis and stopped at all the colleges in between.

It's a nice video and as the classic song goes, "accent the positive, eliminate the negative"
Most of the videos show how school is supposed to be, not the reality for some of us.
Have a fantastic day!
xo, Michele
Sad to see these two go to rival schools in the end.
This is great! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kumar Sukhdeo !!!
Now that most admission decisions have been sent out, which ones have they been accepted to and are considering? :D
Hey Oz O USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, University of Colorado, UCSB, UC Riverside, UCSD, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley. My son, Tristan, is probably going to end up at USC! Andre is leaning towards UCLA! Those were both there top picks!
xo, Michele
Hey great video. What were your thoughts on the USC campus?
Hi +Stephano Vargas Loooove USC! That is where my son is now attending. He's the one with the long hair in the video. The campus is very safe. They have the largest private police force that has a strong presence on and around campus. He is absolutely loving it. We also spend a lot of time there too. We have season tickets to the football game. So, we will be there for tomorrows game!
Have a fantastic day!
xo, Michele
Where did they end up choosing? I had my choices narrowed down to UCLA And UC Davis, but I chose ucla in the end.

Hi michelle
I'm a high school senior and just got accepted to uc Davis and uc San Diego
Which school is ur son and his friend going to???
Hi Wasi Zaman A BIG Congrats to you!!!!! They are still waiting to hear from most of the schools they applied to. My son, Tristan, has only heard back from "2" schools so far and he got into both of them, Loyola Marymount & U of Colorado. His buddy, Andre, so far heard from Loyola Marymount and UC Riverside and got into both. This next few weeks we should know!!!!
Have an awesome week!
xo, Michele
I heard that there is smell of cows in UC Davis? Is that ture? I got into Davis, and struggling rn...
Hi Peiliang Du: I actually don't remember that at all!!! But, that is awesome you were accepted to Davis!!! It is a fantastic school! One of my daughter's friends just graduated from Davis and she Loved it!!!
Good luck on your pick!
xo, Michele
Great video. Which school did you all like the most?
Hi LiamCampbell13 ...Thanks for asking!!!
Tristan's top pick is USC. Andre's top pick is UCLA. And they both really liked Berkeley too! So, fingers crossed they get their top picks!
xo, Michele
Loved the video! But how many times does the guide from USC say um

And they had high SAT scores too.
Have a fantastic day!

Hi! I am a junior currently and am trying to plan a similar tour...how did you go about planning everything, such as where to stay/transportation?
Hi +hannah vail
We did the college tour over Spring Break in there Junior year.
The years were good to Andre lmao
Yes they were!!! I need to do a follow up video on Tristan and Andre before they graduate.
I applied to Stanford and USC which would be a better choice for a pre-med major?
Hi +Lydia Siler Both schools don't have a pre-med major. They have a pre-med track or pre-health. Both schools are top level schools. You really can't go wrong with either school. My son (the blonde) is now at USC. It LOVES it!!!! Good luck on your applications!
Have an awesome day!
xo, Michele
I have some experience as a USC premed. Feel free to ask me any questions-- I may or may not be able to answer them

Have an awesome day!
xo, Michele

Hi +Ignacio Pérez Jaumá My son, Tristan, (The blonde) is at USC. Andre is at UCLA. They both got into there top pick!!! Thanks for asking!
xo, Michele
.
Wow your son is so cute....don't worry I'm a teenage girl :P
Hi XDREJECT …I'll let Tristan know…LOL!
0.0 lol XD
Oh my I'm a sophomore this year and next year I'll take my ever-first-honor class is honor Pre-Calculus :))), and...the SAT T_T, then senior year AP Psychology. I wish to get into Stanford, UCLA, or UCI but I don't know if I can or not :), I'm scared of the SAT though...
Hi Minh Dang Le …It's great you are on top of everything! You will do great! The biggest tip I have about the SAT is to take a lot of practice tests. They have them in the Princeton Review and Baron's SAT books. Good Luck!
xo, Michele
Thanks a lot ^^, could you tell me how your sons did on the SAT??? Both of them are ok??^^
