@@mattbarrett41 it's funny, cause in the navy, i had to learn metric for chemisty, but all the specs for engineering, where in English (whatever we call the units, standard?)

Jason Stewart LOL. Wow thats funny. I mean they are good cheap engines. Working on the next upload and the completion. Been driving the jeep about 3 weeks now. Let me know you. Its like its made for a wrangler and with a strait pipe. The sound is amazing.
Thanks. I know they make the kit and there are some out there. It would almost certainly need to be suspension lifted. I know even on youtube there are a couple who did it. This is pretty east swap over all. We have troubles but not necessarily related to the swap
Darth Vader everything i do on this down to the body work it needs will be filmed. Tires. When i have the money. Im just a poor trucking single father after all. Will all be on the channel. All kinds of testing and off roading of the jeep and things we build. Kirks future build of his jeep creation. Lots of off roading and mote builds after. I just started this Channel a little while ago i im enjoying making the videos.
@@AlfonsLC sounds great man love the channel and you and Kirk. Anything you post I'll be waiting to watch. Hope all is well and you can continue to make great content!
Darth Vader thank you i will do my best. Full time job and a toddler but i always find time to make the videos. Sometimes there are gaps. But at least one a month going forward. Hope to hear from you in the future also.
@@AlfonsLC With the fabrication you guyz pulled off, WAY beyond my skills-set. I prefer a plug-n-play application. Your results are amazing though. Great job. TDI swap might be in my future though
Ty Overly i think the TDI is a better engine in the end. But the swap is out of my price range. As a mechanical tdi is hard to find that doesnt need a rebuild and the wiring you need for a non mechanical is beyond what i want to wire and have. The OM617 is maybe the easiest and cheapest diesel swap. We did certain things that DO NOT need to be done to make this swap work. We did allot of custom stuff. Kirk is a great fabricator. But we are far far from actually know what the hell we were doing.
Kirk: "The metric system is for snowflakes"
The Metric System used in almost every country : Am I a joke to you???
Orlando Arriaga - This is Murica’ we use Freedomheit, and English measurement........the rest of the world is wrong🤣

Lol....Kirk is a funny hillbilly
Being a Mercedes diesel owner I was cracking up on the 5/16 and 1/4-20 bolt reference....🤣🤣🤣
Love the videos and Kirk is a rock star
Kirk u r old skool...I haven't seen anyone make a paper gasket by hand in 20yrs
Kirk is really old school. One of a kind. Thanks for the comments.
Kirk man I would love to hangout and work on some ride . A true American creativity and know how at work .
i've always thought "snowflake" is the dumbest insult i've ever heard, but i think i could listen to Kirk talk all day, he's a gem!
Hes one of a kind. Haha.
Hey Kirk I don’t wear gloves either. Can’t feel it can’t fix it.
Kent sends gloves because he cares about your safety. He sends lemonheads because he cares about your happiness.
Hes awesome that guy

Glad I found this channel. How easy do you think this swap would be in an xj I've been looking for a diesel to throw in her.

Why couldn't you touch the gear without gloves?
Because it irritates kirk.
Nice... making some awesome progress now!
Sounds great!!!!!
Best reason for all the trouble !!
lot of labor on that thing
Tons of labor. But we are both very happy with it. Now we gotta fox the damned rusty tub too !!
I can hear that thing rusting from where I live
Me too
Well, motor is like new now........you can pull it out of that Jeep, and put it in the next one when it eventually dies.
German torque settings "Gutten-Tight!"
Thats really funny
Your videos make both excited and cringe at doing this to my yj lol!!
It certainly has been pretty spooky.
So I'm watching these videos and have come to the conclusion that someone else can do my conversion. Good grief!
Haha. What turns you away the most ? We did things differently. It could be easier.
