Kerry king is awesome but he is very methodical in his playing. Eddie van Van Halen is like that too. They are both very good at what they do but it has to be something that they have written themselves.

Thing is, most people can't just stick with one genre. Life would be boring then. I was a kid in the 70's, turning 13 in 1980. Was raised by my young parents who listened to, what is now, classic rock. Grew up a headbanger through my teens, loved new wave and even whatever dance music was called back then. Still a heavy duty headbanger, and the only music I don't really like is the "manufactured" pop garbage with the auto tune voices that are so BLAHHHHH! Still lots of great music coming out!

Slayer used to cover Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, etc back in their early days before Show No Mercy was released.

Wow can hear his bass and his singing voice we haven’t heard since south of heaven. Sadly Kerry King was never interested in doing these things

the reason he's singing so "badly" is because this is a sound check.
he probably doesn't care too much to hit the right notes.
