it can get to the point you loose hearing though, but unless that happens you probably shouldn't touch your ear canal at all, or at least let someone that knows what they are doing do it.
If you're experiencing pain or discomfort, you probably waited way in the heck too long to deal with excessive wax. If your point is people shouldn't worry about having their wax professionally removed unless there's some sort of problem, fine. But there's way more problems than just those two. Just because one's ears will simply produce more wax as soon as a professional removes a problem clump is also not a valid reason to not bother in the same way your car will get filthy again is not a valid cause to never wash it. All that said, there's those of us who deal with wax production at the same time we're very susceptible to swimmer's ear, so that wax needs removing to prevent moisture from getting trapped and inviting an infection to begin. Anyway, maybe get a grip on your "advice", as well-meaning as you intended it to be.
Do you really need that mental music? Especially for people with hearing issues.
The sound off button exists
Wax build up is not a bad thing, Infact it's natural to shield ears. Only see ent doctor when you have pain or discomfort.
