I just bought the 2024 Pilot EX-L. I traded in my 2013 Honda Accord, which I loved. The only thing I miss is the lane changing camera. I almost didn’t buy this car because of it missing that option. For the price, I feel like that should be a standard option. There are too many vehicles out there with lots of cameras, and I think Honda really missed the mark on this one by only having the backup camera. Otherwise, I love the car.
I for one appreciate simplicity even if it’s really just them being cheap. More tech = more potential problems. Give me at least one screen for infotainment and a car that is built to last over the techy stuff that’ll cost me an arm and a leg down the road
Does it include built-in navigation, or is that not offered at this trim level? As far as potential changes: 1. Conventional shifter rather than buttons. 2. Allow driver to permanently disable Start-Stop "technology."
Test drove this yesterday. Tons of room, drove great and the interior felt like good quality. It’s definitely a winner. Only disappointment is the EXL should atleast have a moon roof.
I bought a brand new 2024 Honda pilot for My wife because the other Honda pilot is 2005 still drive like new still 320,000 miles on it says a lot about Honda Products.
I know this is a pipe dream but: How about a Pilot hybrid while keeping the V6?? I know if /when they do offer a hybrid version, it will be a 4 banger. No turbo's!!!!
I have nothing against it (to each their own) but I don't like any screen (big or small). I find them a distraction. I'd rather just have a normal radio were I can listen to.
@@gorillakillaaaFYI, I was with your mother last night and I must say she love how my Pilot drives 😀 And best of all we were not staring at the screen cause we're too busy staring at each other eyes hahahaha
Get rid of the 10 speed transmission. I have the 22 Pilot and hate the 9 speed. Once you get past 7 speed there is no more balls. Keep it at 6-7. Other car is a Lexus ES with 6 speed and that works great. Pilot needs lane changing camera. Accords have them why not the bigger SUV? Makes no sense. Keep the V6 no Turbos and add mofe HP & Torque. I like the growl of fhe engine when you push it. Gives it some balls and a pulse.
Quality control has been suffering with Honda. Transmission issues, air conditioner issues sunroof leaking. Just do some research to find out the new Honda is full of problems.
I have a 2016 accord sport with 111,000 miles and zero maintenance problems. I make sure transmission oil, engine oil, and cooling fluid are changed earlier than advertised for reliability. It all depends on how the vehicle is maintained.
I just traded in my 2013 Honda Accord (v6) with 170k miles. It still ran like the day I bought it. Never had one issue with it. I traded it in for 2024 Honda Pilot EX-L. Honda stopped making the Accord with V6, so that’s why I bought the Pilot. I’m very happy with it so far.
This isn't anything new - New models often suffer during the first couple years. Happened with each CRV generation - compressor issues (heat shield), some body panel deterioration, etc etc. If you buy early, you're usually in for a few surprises.

Just getting ready to sell my 2011 Honda pilot EXL. 177,000 miles. Love it. Stuck between the EXL OR THE TOURING

I would like the push button gear shift removed
Totally agree. Fucking hate the buttons. Need the stick shifter.
i allways thought the vtec was there best motor?
Dumb move with the 9inch display on this big vehicle. Most competitors have 12+ inches display on all trims.

I agree with having a 12 inch information screen

Yes I was shocked to see that the 2024 Ex-L didn’t have one but the 2022 did? 🤔

Screen is too small and the wheels… looks cheap
