Lad, I am a Muslim, my parents are Iraqi, I was born in London and I LOVE supporting the England football team because I see myself in the team. They’re young, hardworking, often religiously devout boys who sound like me, walk like me, talk like me - most of them are Londoners as well. Why would I not support them, we’re from the same background??
You seem to be confused about the difference between ethnicity and nationality - being ‘white’ doesn’t not mean u are from England, and ‘English’ is not an ethnicity as such - people in the UK are Irish, Norman, Pictish, Celtic, Anglo Saxon, Viking, Roman, Eastern European etc etc.
Particularly weird to try to force an ethnic division given how much of an anti-racist our prophet was?? Why would u sow that division with stereotypes??
Come and watch the football in Hackney near me and maybe some of ur assumptions will rub up against reality ;)
