As for the material I would say its more water resistant than water proof so if you were in a light rain I think it would be fine, but water might start to get in if you were in heavy rain for a prolonged period of time. Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! and thats a tough choice since both bags are really good! haha If price isn't as big of a concern the Daypack feels much more durable and uses higher quality materials so it will likely hold up better over the long term. The Oneplus bag is still pretty good quality but its a fair amount cheaper than the Aer bag. They both work really well for daily use, are really comfortable to wear and I really like the look of both. My Ideal size would be something like the Herschel Pop Quiz but with more organizational pockets and perhaps a water bottle holder. Thanks
Glad to help! based on the bags you're looking at id have to agree that the tech pack might be a little big. If you're looking for something like the pop quiz (not necessarily in style but in size and with some of the things you mentioned) the Timbuk2 Division Pack or the Timbuk2 Showdown might be worth checking out, the division pack in particular reminds me a lot of the Aer Daypack
Hey again, so an update on my backpack hunt. I ended up picking up an incase icon 15 from bestbuy, the price was just too good to not buy at 99$ CAD. I did also pre-order this bag called the Boundary Errant Backpack, saw a few videos online and it seems like the ultimate backpack for any use. Anycase thanks again for the tips and videos.

The only item i would be unsure of is the towel. If it is a full size beach towel than that might not fit along with all the jeans and shirts and any other items you are planning to add to the bag (shoes, laptop, electronics, etc). If you have something like this small microfiber towels that pack down very small that may fit. Thank you for watching and good question! The materials used offer some resistance from lighter rain but it is definitely not meant to hold for longer periods of time in a decent amount of rain. The zippers are somewhat covered by the flap of fabric from the bag but besides that they don’t offer too much protection unfortunately. For this bag I liked that the bottom had these interesting little pads that kept it a little more protected when placed on the ground, but I was disappointed that the laptop compartment didn't offer any sort of elevation or extra padding on the bottom of that particular area. Something like the Bellroy Classic Plus is a bag that does't have an elevated laptop compartment but the bottom is well padded so I still feel like my laptop is protected. On bags like the Goruck GR1 or the Nomatic Travel Pack, I really like that the laptop compartments are raised up so that when you place your bag down the laptop never makes contact with the ground. Thats a good question and I think it will depend on how much weight you carry with it regularly what other types of activities you think you will be doing with it. It's durability is good and I think it should last 3 years with normal use, but it is also a pretty affordable bag and it's quality won't be quite the same as something like Aer's or Timbuk2's bags which are a little more expensive typically.
