Wise words from my Cuban grandmother.. “Every woman should have a secret emergency account that you deposit into routinely. Even if it’s $20, you put it away.”, I’m glad that I listened. One day domestic violence showed its face for the first time in my marital home. Within TWO days I had a house rented and my kids and I moved. Gracias Abuela!

@the goldenbowl Every woman in a relationship should have a separate account in your name. I had the same experience where I my ex closed out out the joint account unknown to me. We had an account separately for the mortgage on the house. Unknown to him I had my own Separate account . Women wake up. I love u doesn't always mean I won't steal from you.

My ex-husband did this to me. He physically assaulted me the week prior and I told him I wanted a divorce. When he saw I had been looking for places to live he moved out with all of our household furniture including 2 dining room sets and couches. I came home from work with our then 2 year old to an empty house. He took me through a nasty divorce and I walked away with no support. Met my soulmate 2 years later after healing and letting God take control. Fast forward 8 years and I've married my soulmate, bought a house, luxury cars, family vacations - all debt free. Ex-husband still has the furniture, is struggling and miserable. Don't play with God's children. 🙌🏽

My husband did the same thing but he didn't take physical things. He starved himself so he would lose weight and tell people he did because I was abusing him while he was the one abusing me emotionally and financially, he refused to work so I would be the one taking care of everything on a teacher salary and he wasted my savings then cheated and brought his side chick in my own house. I left, moved to another country and rebuilt myself up. We are survivors.

In 2014 I was 3 months pregnant with a 1 year old fleeing an abusive marriage. My family had to come get us out of Alabama from Michigan. When threats didn't work my ex-husband immediately drained the banking account, and we started over with nothing. From there I got back in education, became a Principal, and started a business. My daughters are happy and healthy, and as a family we are helping other people. Tests like these become your greatest testimony. God bless you all! We're on the top and going higher.

Solo mom, the state of In the state Alabama identifies as an “equitable distribution state.” It was illegal for your ex husband to take all of the money out of your account and anything else the two of you acquired during your marriage. Obviously you did not get an attorney. The state of Alabama recognizes adultery and abandons of the marriage for at least 12 months as grounds go a fault-based divorce in Alabama. Therefore, you should have sued your then husband for at the least abandonment of and marriage and any children born in the marriage. You made yourself a victim.

This happened to me. Leaving me with 4 children. I came back from a family dinner. I had such a great time. I drove an hour to get my beautiful home looking forward to seeing my husband. I walked in my beautiful home was empty. Even took the family TV and game system. I was so heartbroken. Someone said to me what did you do. What how dare you? I loved him and our family. I thought I did what I what he needed. Sometimes people have their own things they are dealing with and don't communicate that. Sometimes we think things are good and then we find that's not the case at all. It was a journey but now I'm even better than I was before. My children and I are thriving. I now have my own business, car and home and still loving life.

What you didn’t state is that your husband left your family for another woman. Absolutely no woman is cheated on by a husband without the woman knowing by instinct or intuition. Why did you not immediately get an attorney and sued him for abandonment and taking most of the martial property. Hopefully you at least got child support!!!!!!’

The reason people asked her what she did is because it's frightening to think something like this can happen without reason. If she did something, then they will be safe as long they don't do that thing.
She was a soft spoken, submissive wife and still got played. That's a scary thought for people who believe that there is magic formula for making another person happy. The truth is we don't have any control over our partners no matter what we do.

I was married for 24 years, mine did the same. But the peace I received when he left was the best thing. When I met my husband he was a parking attendant on a bike. I had the car. I helped him and supported him in everything he did, he became a firefighter and I was told to put family first and be a home maker. Happiness comes when you realize and accept the fact when you are with a man that makes you cry on a regular basis, abuses you in a variety of ways and leaves for his midlife crisis, you need to jump for joy. I am renewed and even though he took the retirement money he does not have the peace that I have. Karma is real! You cannot mistreat others and think it will work out right for you.

He told me he never wanted any of this and I had to move out of our house, because my name was not on it. Moved back in with my mother broken, in between marketing jobs. I had to seek the Lord, take responsibility for my part, started all the way over with my teen son. After doing to work I finally got my own place and got to live on my own for the 1st time in my life with my son, my career in marketing took off and I was promoted in a year. I decided to start dating which I never did. It was okay to say no after meeting guys knowing that they were not my person. I finally ended up meeting my now husband. I moved a few states over with my son and now I'm a housewife. I exercise 4 to 5 times a week, clean, cook which I love to do, make my husband lunch and his partner because he owns his own business, Etc. I'm still trying to balance being a housewife, because this is all new for me. I clearly see how God can turn something so ugly into something so beautiful. If God be for you who can be against you. May the Lord bless this woman and when the time is right and she wants it I pray she finds a real man who will love and cherish her the way God commanded a real man to do. Butterfly Jones, I agree. There has to be responsibility and accountability. All the woman who were in hostile and abusive relationships saw the signs before they married the abuser or got into the relationship. Generally woman get into bad or abusive relationships and stay in these relationships because of bad choices and then play the victim. Male and female abusers prey on individuals with no self esteem, are depleted emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically, lack self worth, and seek validation from the wrong people. Most if not all of the abused and abandoned women in the comments most likely came from single mother homes or homes where the father was present but absent emotionally and the father never validated these women when the women were little girls. As a result these girls grew up to be women who sought validation from men and self worth from men.

When we were married, I would have given him a kidney if he needed one. Before separating, he was accusing me of things I wasn’t doing. This experience taught me so much and I had to pull myself up. Going through it was hell, but It’s crazy how today, I can barely remember what happened. I am so healed past this that telling the story is not embarrassing to me anymore. I never think about my ex. My life has improved considerably. There is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel. Anyone who is going through this or has gone through this, I hope you lay your burdens at the feet of Jesus. When we cannot, or will not do more, they will eventually leave anyway. Two things helped me rebuild my life. 1) remember "God has called you to Peace", and 2) "Living Well is the Best Revenge!" After I recovered and rebuilt my ex asked if we could try again. NOT!

@@chocolatecosmos1424 Because the bulk of people do not communicate with their significant others. She left for a work related trip and he took THAT time to clean out their home without a word. Then he tried to get back with her saying, in essence, it was all a joke. It can be explained to you, but no one can understand it for you.

What if that was her karma? I still want to know what would
Have triggered such an act. Not to justify anyone or anything but I’m
Just saying. Who was she in Vegas with? I just think if the shoe was on the other foot. There would
Have been cheers 🥂 (blue Cantrell) 🤷🏾‍♀️

@@books6000 I’m evil because I understand that there is always more to a social media story? Is there mental health involved? All I’m saying there’s more, doesn’t justify anything but there’s more. Understand that the story is always told by the story teller, from their prospective.

@@medusaslocoasisathome9142 Everyone is allowed to have their opinion. But, one thing is for certain, two things for sure, before you decide to spit in someone's face, you BETTER MAKE DAMN SURE that that is your FINAL answer! He doesn't get to make a U-turn after such a betrayal. I believe the fact that he is willing to go back, invalidates the theory you're attempting to put forth - imo. I understand there are THREE sides to every story. But, it's also important to look at what's in front of you. In general, Men do not forgive nearly half as much as women do. If she did him wrong (based on your theory) and he felt the need to do what he did, he should not want to go back - ever! Why? Because what she did would've been so horrible, that it would've justified his actions, correct? It means he did what he did because he had PROOF that she is a liar, a cheat, an adulterer, manipulative, deceitful, etc... WHO would want to KNOWINGLY reconcile with someone like that? I'm not buying it. He jumped ship, thinking he had someone better than her (or, that he would be better off alone) and it backfired, imo. He had a better life with her and now realizes it - again, imo. He doesn't deserve to ever have ounce of her attention, again.

Lesson learnt : Be RESOURCEFUL. Someone can take your life's savings, but a year later, you'll have that and more! Your assest is actually your resourcefulness & resilience.
That's why her husband wanted her back. He didn't totally rob her.
