I think if they were to make a project sometime based on the Japanese wizarding school of Mahoutokoro, they could turn it into an anime series. Plus, considering the huge hit that the HP series is having on streaming there in Japan

Gonna have to differ. Snape did not have a "good" heart. He was an insecure jerk who only changed sides when his childhood crush was in danger. He had a secret care for Harry buried in there somewhere, but that was more because he was lily's son. He was a bit of a tragic character in some respects but still an ass.

Ok this actually made me remember the passion of being a 2D animator... The passion that had been burnt out years ago. This is such an inspiring reinterpretation of HP in a classic anime format.

Okay, Gibli is one of my all time favorite animation styles and Harry Potter my favorite fantasy. This combination was hands down just what i needed to see. I also simped WAY to hard on Severus, paused, wrote this comment, and then proceeded to rewatch.
If we can do scenes like this, we could theoretically feed the AI every frame of every movie and generate all the images, while we approve each frame/another AI checks for accuracy, until the movies are completely remade in the new art styles. As AI art gets better, things like that could just be a random request given to a machine and have it generated by lunch, or even more advanced, in real time.

well there is actually a way, which is not perfected yet. We can use stable diffusion, and you can make the entire movie in 2d. But you need to feed the neural networks tons of materials for it to self learn. You can check corridor crew as they made a Spiderverse scene from live action spiderman

Yo out of all the AI art videos UA-cam has been recommending me this is the best one. Legit looks like 90s and 80s Ghibli. It also makes me think of Ghibli adapted the books the movies would've been more accurate.
It would be amazing to see anime movie features or OVAs with these as the key frames, with the rest of it (the actual meat of the film) being made by people. Like this would be an amazing starting place and reference for an actual thing

(Ghibli and a lot of anime has impeccable sense of visual perspective, but most of the older stuff was made by hand, so there's still tiny screwups in the accuracy that add to the overall feel, adds more humanness and frailty to it)
