Tide laundry detergent works great on all the interior some hot water in a bucket with some tide in it and a soft brush works wonders and smells good and won’t harm anything!

That magic eraser is to abrasive bro it will eat at the leather and make it crack when it dries up ...

Hey, just bought a E39 .. and I'm pretty stoked up about it broskis , it sat for 3 years and was never fully diagnosed.. it's a no start..... Got good strong sounding crank and we hooked it up to a snap on computer and almost 30 different codes came up man .....it's been a pleasure so far .just getting discouraged because I really wanna drive this fucker

The key take away from this vid is never buy beige interior (or white, any light color). Black is best and easiest to recondition (with cleaner and liquid black polish (liquid shoe polish))

Paul L i have beige. And i keep it prerry clean and always make sure i give it a good wipe down when i wash my car whoever had this car didnt care. You cant just let the dirt build up itll never come off but give it a good wile down and youll never have to worry bout to much dirt. But you would think people with beige car leather woyld want to keep it looking nice. But most are to lazy to try.

    • @a_Somer

Magic Eraser works better than this? It's TIRE cleaner! I'm super hesitant to use that on my leather interior...cause it's TIRE cleaner!
I've got an '06 330ci with saddle brown leather interior, & the driver's seat is looking rough compared to all the others. Trying not have to drop $200+ on a detail job, ya know?

You could use some lvp paint on the smooth plastic just wet sand and paint the plastic panels they look like new and only costs about $20

Guys, I was messing around and tried Megiuars wheel and tire cleaner on my panels and seats, melted all the dirt off. Followed it up with that Megiuars Clean and shine. That's stuff does wonders on vinyl trim. No discoloration. Try it...

  • @a_Somer

Ok wait, you can actually use TIRE cleaner on leather & it'll be ok?! 😳
I have a 2006 330ci with the saddle brown/black leather interior. The driver's seat looks 10 times more worn than the passenger seat! The grain in the leather is totally worn down to a shiny, smooth leather on the seat, & it's super dirty from years of sweat, color transfer from dark clothes...and, a few dried blood stains from that time my car was used as an impromptu ambulance to transport a cat hit by a car to the emergency vet (poor thing didn't make it, but I couldn't just leave it to die a painful, drawn-out death on the side of the road 😔.)
I'm going to try the ol' vinegar & olive oil homemade leather cleaner 1st, but I'll definitely check this out, if you say it's safe to use on BMW lighter leathers...

Hi. Interesting … a vinegar & olive oil homemade leather cleaner? How did it turn out? Seeing you posted this 3 years ago. AND if the homemade didn't work, what else have you tried on light colored leather seats?
