This is amazing! I honestly cant wait to fly one of these beauties with westjet. I live in Calgary alberta and I think that this is such a big step for westjet. I am a private pilot and it is my dream to fly for westjet. maybe one day I will fly the 787 with westjet. Congratulations guys!

Oh Momma I didn’t realize WestJet has so many orders and options of the 787. Ccgrats WestJet lets fly internationally, keep fares competitive so many of us from the US West can connect in Calgary with your 787’s then onto Europe. With your MAX and Dreamliner aircraft, nobody will have a newer fleet of lower seat mile costs. With flying the pole Calgary is perfect for LAX, SFO, PHX, SEA, SLC, DEN, to fly WestJet 737”s to Calgary in the afternoon, connecting with the 787 to London, Paris, Rome, Oslo, Frankfort, any where in Western Europe. I hope your plan is similar to this realizing that you aren’t currently flying into SLC another Western US cities

It's an impractical plane, very restricted on airport choices and just too big. The dreamliner was a strategic epiphany by Boeing.
They only fly North American built planes.
Congratulations on the next level step. I just hope those 787s are all made in Everett and not South Carolina! Big difference in workmanship and quality control.
It didn’t need a new business model; it was modelled after Southwest Airlines which is the model for all to follow. All they needed were new airplanes, new routes, but stay the same.

Yeah…I have a teeny problem. Why would a budget airline like Westjet have a 787? It’s like spirit airlines owning an a350. Don’t get me wrong, the new livery is absolutely amazing on aircraft like these, it make them look…official, but I don’t exactly see why they wouldn’t get other Boeing aircraft…wait there’s only 737 plane-

How can you hold customers that chose your airline hostage right till the very end to decide westjet will at the very last minute refund travellers and leave them to find their own way possibily miss cruises and connections . Never again with westjet ......

Way to rip off Quantas Airlines' EXACT paint scheme! WestJet seems like the little brother that always wants to play with the big kids and copies everything. Stick to what you do best - cheap regional flying, like when you copied Southwest Airlines, and leave the long-haul flying to the big boys.
