This whole thing is so good and the jokes are genuinely really clever. I looove the year-appropriate phones and the way everyone is just totally fine with Cress and his pager. The jokes about anime production were all really good, too, hahaha. Also, there were such good little details like Velvet's Laphicet wallpaper on her phone and Yuri's wall full of cool posters of himself. This whole thing is delightful. You know that they will need to do something with Tales of the Tempest, right? Well, Tales of Vesperia is actually good. Not perfect, but really good. Pretty much like Berseria, only if I was male I would actually fall in love with Velvet. Yuri is the best character of entire franchise so it makes sense that he's so narcissistic in this anime, even if it wasn't fully true in the game (he's more sarcastic here than anything), but hey. Namco forgot to do a voting stuff with Xillia, Zestiria and Berseria characters. Then the half of the best characters will be girls, because I don't know what happened, but I like female cast of those games. Really XD

Don't get ahead of yourself, Velvet. As much as I like your game, you are the first female protagonist...of a prequel, not a stand alone Tales of game. You still have to follow cues from Zestria
I love the way you think. Even though Berseria is a prequel, the cues come from Zestiria since Zesty came out first. And basically, Berseria just explains the background of Zesty... things gone wrong that Sorey was supposed to "fix."

I'm not bashing Zestiria. I've actually enjoyed it. Berseria just gave me a lot of the feelings which actually made me worried about the main crew of the videogame for the first time in years. I actually can say that I've cried at Berseria's story more than at Zestiria's, but i don't think I should compare them. They feel really different because of their themes beight different.

Berserians are normally very critical of Zestiria, and some reviewers who didn't know any better even say that Zestiria dragged Berseria down as it could have earned higher if it was not associated with Zestiria. Facts however suggest that Zestiria did earn more than Berseria... and it was not the case of Zestiria "being better" or "worse" but rather of Tales being introduced to fans for the first time thru Zesty (I'm one of them). The Tales "community" also arrogantly declare Berseria to be the "next best thing" to Vesperia while downgrading Zestiria as a an inferior game. I played Berseria because I liked Zesty... but I couldn't really get attached to "dark" characters and "revenge" themes that get recycled every time writers run out of ideas. I'm starting to read Western comic books and the revenge plot is everywhere. However, Berseria is still special because the way characters blend and relate with each other is always interesting. And yeah, Tales games are never as petty as other games out there. Again, thanks for the comment. ^_^

I played Berseria because I liked Zesty... but I couldn't really get attached to "dark" characters and "revenge" themes that get recycled every time writers run out of ideas. I'm starting to read Western comic books and the revenge plot is everywhere. However, Berseria is still special because the way characters blend and relate with each other is always interesting. And yeah, Tales games are never as petty as other games out there.
