This was a life saver. As a beginner, I was about to give up hope on figuring this machine out…This video has motivated me to keep pushing forward in this new journey. Thank you ❤
This tutorial saved our Halloween!!! I never learned how to prepare the bobbin or thread this machine… 3 years later and your tutorial saved our Halloween because I was able to whip up a top after a costume emergency 🧵🪡😂 Also, I LOVED learning about all of the settings and what each thing does and why certain stitches are needed for different fabrics ect…. There’s an entire playlist idea for ya: • Stitch Setting “A” does _____ and works the best for _____ type of fabric. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
thank you so much!! i’m a cosplayer who’s used to hand sewing when i don’t have my wonderful grandmother to help with my silly mistakes, and needed a good tutorial for when she’s not here to help!! shes been my lifelong teacher for all things crafty, as the knowledge was once necessary for her life, and this tutorial felt just like home. it was so so helpful with covering all the bases that i seem to forget. i appreciate what you’re doing so much!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to show us the details of this machine!! I've had mine for a while, and I couldn't understand how it worked. Now I see how to thread it properly!! You are awesome 🫂🫂
Wow! Thank you soooo much! This is my first sewing machine and my first time to sew EVER! You made it seem so simple and really helped me. I'm so excited, I'm 54 and wanted to do this my WHOLE life,..lol - BTW - I checked out other videos and yours was the most comprehensive, so easy to follow. Thank you again!!!!!
Thank you so much. My mom bought this sewing machine for my daughter and set it up for her to use but I messed up something and this video saved the day and got us back on track and sewing again. God bless you.
What a great video! Super informative and helpful! Just one question I’m trying to replace the needle, and not sure what needles to buy. Are they universal needles?
I’m so glad it was helpful! Most needles you can get are for the home machine.they have a flat side on the shaft where they fit into the machine. All the different types of needles are for different fabrics.
Thank you so much for the very thorough demonstration and the extra tips! After watching numerous videos on mini sewing machines, I feel this is the best selection for a young child as it's simple without too many bells and whistles, yet has options such as the 3 step zig zag for sewing on elastic, lightweight, and the bobbin winding is easy and winds evenly without having to manipulate it with your finger.
Thank you for this review ❤ how long does the little pink Janome last? Also, I just got a Janome Petite 525 on garage sale, it's while with blue accents. 💙 do you know anything about those? It sews, but sounds very loud and goes very slow. Is that normal? I don't really have money to service it, so trying to do it on my own
I just acquired this machine. Have no instructions, so your video was very helpful. It doesn’t look like you are supposed to remove the presser foot. Does the owners manual mention anything about that? It seems very sturdy, and sounds good when it is sewing. Thank you for this video.
Hi Mom. Cute sewing machine and i love the color. Thanks for the video i am always learning something new from you. I notice your very pretty fabric scissors also. Thanks again for all the helpful tips 💖
Hi! I have the lime version of this sewing machine. I needed to replace my needle, so I took the other one out and put the new one in. The problem is the screw won’t tighten around the needle. I think I’m doing something wrong but I’m not sure what’s going on. Any advice?
I’m sorry you’re having trouble! Make sure the flat part of the needle post is toward the back. Is the screw turning but not tightening, or not turning at all?
Thank you so much for this! VERY well done! I was gifted one, missing parts...like power cord...deciding if it is worth getting the missing parts. Still on the fence...Like Rinda...It's been lonnnnnnng time since I used a sewing machine. Forgot everything lol. I subscribed! Thanks again! 🙂
Thank you! It's not a bad little machine :) If you are interested in getting a different machine, the little Brother LX3817 is great. ua-cam.com/video/G4HkjuiF3AM/v-deo.html And it's like riding a bike, you might get rusty, but never really forget :)
Your video is a huge help! I'm a complete beginner and I've hit a road block. I'm following your directions for threading the needle, getting the bobbin thread in place, and pulling its loop through. I have everything ready just as youve shown, then about an inch of sewing and it seems like there's a snag happening (i think it's within the bobbin chamber) and my needle loses it's thread. Any suggestions??
Hmmm sounds like the upper thread might be catching on something. Check to be sure it’s not hanging up on a ‘burr’ on the edge of the thread spool. Is the bobbin wound well? I would take the upper thread out, lower the tension all the way to 0. Make sure the presser foot is lifted. Rethread and then readjust the tension. You might want to try a different brand of thread. Sounds crazy, but I have some machines that just don’t like certain brands. Hope this helps!
@@momdoesstuff thank you! I actually don't know how to adjust the tension so I'll look that up and figure it out. I have run of the mill dollar store thread, so I'll replace it with something better! Fingers crossed!
Thank you!. I am new to this amd have this machine. It has been working fine but now won't stitch at all. Runs bun no stitches. How can I fix this. After this video I did learn I wasn't threading correctly. Lol. Hoping that would fix the issue but no. Darn it.

i'm trying to figure out how to change the presser foot is this not a possibility for this machine can you or anybody know how to change the presser foot? I have the instructions to read them three times I cannot find anywhere on any of the literature that came with the machine how about how to do this
@@zainabkhatoon3873 If it's still under Janome's warranty, return it to where you bought it and exchange it for a new one. Repairs would probably cost more than the machine.
Agreeing with @mintadan6076 .... I found this machine for $7.99 at Goodwill ... I just want to do some papercraft sewing, so I wanted small and simple. It didn't come with directions. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Sorry, but with no light, buttonhole or on-off switch that's a ripoff tinkertoy for $70.00. If there are critical budget constraints, the $85.00 Brother lx3817 at Walmart is a much better machine.

Ok my top thread is not bringing up my bobbin thread instead it getting hung up down there HELP SOMEONE😅
Are you holding the tail of the top thread firmly off to the left? Did you leave a long enough tail on the bobbin thread?
My bobbin case was slightly out of place causing my thread to catch Thank you for taking time to help 😀
for some reason my needle won’t catch the thread at the bottom

the fact is that it's so lightweight is a bad sign no metal parts inside the sewing machine?
I don’t think they make many all metal ones anymore. It’s a pretty good machine for the price point
