    ..thank you so much. I'm 75 years old and recovered well from a stroke last year but some memory gaps. I hadn't used the machine for quite a while but when I took it out to use...it was like seeing it for the first time....had a hard time understanding the manual instructions....but this UA-cam has made all the difference. THANK YOU.

    Another absolute beginner here. Never used a sewing machine before. I’ve read the instruction book. Your video made me understand how the sewing machine operates; especially drawing up the bobbin thread. I never knew that the bobbin thread was on one side of the finished product and the top thread was on top. Seems silly saying it but I never thought about it. Also you’re quite funny. Keep it up:)

    I was very very frustrated!! I was especially looking for a video that showed how to use the automatic needle threader!
    A video with clear close ups would be SO helpful.
    It’s not cheating at all and I don’t understand why you didn’t show it in the first place.
    I watched 2 other videos and read the book, but I can’t get the auto threader to work for me. Thanks!,

    • @StitchlessTV

      No it's not cheating to use the needle threader but it can be frustrating, you are right and even with instruction, it can be a bit hit and miss. Putting white paper behind the needle as you thread it, can help. Clearly I should do do one!!

    I have had my Janome model 140M for quite a while and have used it a lot. Wanted to use it a few days ago and it just will not stitch. Have checked the threading up several times. Both threads are threaded properly but it is not stitching. Needle goes up and down. Material moves along but it is just not stitching. Any ideas please. I am trying to make a mask.

    • @StitchlessTV
      @StitchlessTV  4 роки тому

      I know it doesn't sound like much but try changing the needle and or make sure the type of needle us correct type for the fabric.

      Thank you for your reply. I tried that. I am using the blue tip needle. Not the one for knitted fabrics. As the cotton material I am using is thick I thought it would,be ok. I did try with the ordinary needle to start with the other day but it wouldn’t work then either,but will try again.

      @@StitchlessTV the thing is it was working perfectly fine till I changed the needle, I tried unscrewing the thing and the thread is not timing up right with the hook, do you know a way to make it so it times right again?

    • @StitchlessTV
      @StitchlessTV  3 роки тому

      I can tell you some things to check. Make sure the needle has been put in right way round, with the eye of the needle and the groove own the needle, facing you. Also, make sure oh have really pushed the needle high enough into the shaft, before screwing up tight

    Interesting ,why are you manually threading the needle? Does it seem to have an automatic threading part?

      Ok.....Well, when it is plugged in, you put it on the floor and gently press with your foot, which leaves your hands free to guide the fabric . Hope that explains it

    I just put my finger at the back of the needle and then thread it. It always works. No licking fingers.

      @@StitchlessTV hmmmm i think its that my sewing machine is an older model. Its from my grandma and she is 95 and have had this one for a long time! She just gave it to me and i really cant figure it out. I think it all goes worng when im putting in all the threads. I prepared the bobbet (thats what i think its called) and everything went fine and then the rest came
      I think the sewing machine is called Major hanome V jf1018 but honestly im so new that im not even sure about that 😅

    • @StitchlessTV

      Ok. Well it's probably a Janome sewing machine and if quite old, you could do with changing the needle. It is quite easy, we have a video in our beginners playlist. Take abreak from it and try again tomorrow. Good luck

    This does have a needle threader. Its the white lever left of the needle that you pull down. ua-cam.com/video/XNr9Yh7Dfgw/v-deo.html
