Love this! This was always one of my favorite variants on this fan. If I recall correctly I think these were introduced in 1983 if I remember right. Maybe 1984?
@@CartierEd kind of in a way, but i think holmes just recently left the box fan market because they are no longer available anywhere. Also this means that it might be the last of the brace blade box fans that holmes inherited from lakewood after they went out of business

On the switch yes they do get stiff. Use a spray called De-oxit. It works well. And even quiets the squeak on lakewood fan switches.

From what i heard, toastmaster and edison were purchased by holmes and by the 90s they were all under the holmes brand name
I've heard this recently as well too. So, I guess you could say that Edison and Toastmaster live on as Holmes? Certainly not the same!
