Thanks for making opera stores short and sweet, and so modern that the youngsters nowadays can easily relate and not lose interest. It has been an important tool for teaching my singing students. Greetings from Hong Kong ❤

Strictly speaking, in the "Aeneid," Dido burns herself atop a pyre of Aeneas' old stuff (the bed they made love in, his clothes, etc...) Then when she sees his boat off in the distance, she picks up his old sword, and stabs herself three times with it (seems like overkill, I mean, she is on fire). The opera shows considerable restraint, and keeps it vague. So it's really up to interpretation how the Queen of Carthage ultimately bites it!

Major crush on the blonde girl narrating the story.

She's attractive but seems like the kind of girl who's into musicals and Glee and singing horrible shit all the bloody time

By the way, the “witch” is Juno. Just to clarify so that people don’t think it’s a mortal being.

TOO FUNNY!!!!! But I thought she died of heartbreak? Seriously, I read that she was the first character to die of heartbreak, not suicide.
