Makes you realise how Adele was in no way involved in the plot... If i might make a suggestion for the next one, Tchaikovsky's Queen of Spades would have a lot of fun potential and complete the globalness of your repertoire :). (Haven't seen any russian opera, or is there?)
She was though. Confusing Eisenstein with what he thinks is a lady looking remarkably like Adele is the first part of the prank. Also operattas often had more light-hearted characters to break up some tension.
This was the first opera I ever saw and it made me cry at the overture. I so loved it, it will always have a special place in my heart.
