Got Refuelled recently, and we have 3 generations here getting into Gaslands. So, I was thinking (yeah, I know), all we really need is for one wheel to not turn, what about a little bit of that blue stickum or something like that between a wheel and the frame?
I used some metal paint remover to strip my metal cars of their paint. Works well, if you do it in a well ventilated area and don't mind the smell of the stripper and having to wash it off after.
Cool stuff. As far as glueing the wheels so they don't roll during the game, we put a small ball of modeling CLAY on the bottom of the cars just before we play. That makes them not roll during the game and yet the wheels are still free to roll when desired. It works and the cars are still "toy-able". Just a suggestion to a fellow Gaslands lover. Liked and sub'd.
Cool, I just noticed I forgot to type the word clay after modeling. I corrected it now though. But, you obviously knew what I meant. Have fun in the Gaslands.
A bonus for checking out second hand stores is you might find more older cars. Personal preferences and all that, but I really like the boxier older styles of cars. Well, in my apocalyptic wasteland fantasies that is.
“pound it flat with a hammer and use it as terrain”. yea and the terrain would still be way cheaper than most miniatures game. this is an excellent game that blows away all other miniatures in terms of cost
I'd like to see more on Gaslands. Perhaps showing us your kids projects? I'm sure a lot of people assume it's an adult game? I've actually heard teenagers say that they don't know how to do miniatures gaming...
"Warning! This can be addictive. I already have 30-40 cars."
Hotwheels collectors: "Hold my diecast."
Sweet man the battle tech bits really work well in this scale.subbed.

I love the Sid from Toy Story comparison. That's great.

Thanks for your Vids. Just started with Gaslands and got my rulebook today. I'd love to see more Gaslands stuff :-) Greetz from Germany
would like to watch a game of gaslands at some point.
You are in luck... we are planning a battle report or two soon
Oh thank you, I've living vicariously through your battle reports so seeing this game in action would be grand.
lol, I raided the kid's old toy box. He had a ton of cars that he no longer plays with. I've easily acquired 50-60 cars. I'm modding 1 every 2-3 days.

Thanks and that's a great idea!

Hey Cid just use blue tac on the wheels to stop them rolling 😆
this looks like a lot of fun
Hello what glue use on cars?
Mostly just plain old superglue
Got the book and keen to get rolling in this game. Good tip about going to second hand stores as I am yet to source cheap vehicles

Just ordered the book :)
Sweet!
Hit up market place for cheap cars in bulk. Or garage sales.

I agree. It is so liberating to just scratch build from scraps and so very thematic to the game itself.
Can’t roll anymore? You monster!! :-)
I’ve drawn the line at gluing bits on and painting, but my wheels always work.

Great idea!
where's the over grown car in the thumbnail?
Hi! At 6:35 you can see it under construction
@@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall oh ok sorry I was skipping through the vid as I had very limited time at the moment. Must have missed it.
oops also thought it had greenery on it not just spikes... im actually looking for something different. Thanks for replying - much appreciated
7 minutes in to this video and yet to see you build something. The three and a half minutes about how to buy a hotwheel was riveting, let me tell you.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
I should be receiving the rulebook tomorrow afternoon. 😉
dollar tree has a 3 pack of cars for $1!
sure do, picked up a couple to make terrain
Decided not to show how to take them apart? Kind of an important step, huh?
