Actually there is a difference between the two. The 2009 stock has continues acceleration and deceleration sound. But the S stock becomes silent before the high pitch sound comes when accelerating. When decelerating there's no sound. Al last when it's going to stop the last few seconds the we can hear the sound similar to the 2009 stock
@@jansirani2324 actually, all trains have a continuous traction sound. Sometimes you just can't hear it. The S stock is actually louder than the 09 stock consistently up to higher speeds, that higher pitched sound comes as a result of the inverters I think the motor doesn't stop making sound..or at least sometimes it can't be heard but its still on. The 09 stocks tends to be inaudible after a while, they resemble the older bombardier stock more I.e the electrostars whereas the s stock resembles the newer stock I.e the aventras. Also, the s stock can be heard until it reaches its top speed. Or at least close to it. But your right with the differences, the inverter sound is higher pitched , and the s stock inverters sound like someone scribbling on a whiteboard lmso

@@NSE465 The S8 stock can achieve a higher speed, but in terms of acceleration and distance travelled over time, the 2009 stock is pretty rapid (Victoria to Finsbury park in just 13 minutes!)
