Just bought this and I can’t stop wearing it! It is perfect for me. Cheap, god tier durability, thin and light, gorgeous 80s looking and great backlight from illuminator which imo crucial downside of legend f91w (which I also owned and love).
I recently purchased this watch and much prefer it over the F91w. The F105w just has a better look to it and also having the pushers spaced farther apart make it easier to use. Of course the backlight is incredible compared to the one the F91w uses.
Good review! Great that you give actual sizes in a clear and sensible way.👍 I've had a ridiculous amount of trouble buying a watch as there's so many case size specs that are wrong in the adverts.... driving me mad! You order it and it's not the 35mm that you want and it turns out to be 39mm when you receive it. Then you have the hassle of returning it through no fault of your own. Some folk say this watch is too small! Well, I'm an old 6'4" and I can't stand the stupidly large watches- they never used to be like that!...goes along with the same mentality of those who buy ridiculously large cars that you can't park, here in the UK! :)😀 NoAxe
I’ve worn one everyday for the past several years or so. Mud, snow, rain, oil, grease, you name it. Scratches and all they hold up excellent. I had to replace my first one as one of the ears for the pins for holding the band on broke. They are extremely tough. Very comfortable and simple design and I really like the backlight as it makes a good illuminator for looking at something up close in the dark. I’ll continue to wear these until I die or they don’t make them anymore lol.
Yeah they are great watches fir the price. The stated accuracy of +30 to -30 per month probably won't ever happen. My 168w was only minus 4 seconds for forty days. My Timex Expedition Scout losses about 30 seconds per month.
Yes, I've heard all of the nasty rumours about this guy, but I don't believe them for a second. He seems like a good guy to me and I don't think he would do all of that stuff people accuse him of doing. That's my opinion anyway.
Sir can you help me to find a watch. LED display of Time AM/PM not 24 Hours Has Day and Date Has light illumination No sig, no timer, no alarm, no stopwatch I will give it to my mother.
I picked this watch up last week and wore it one day. The only problem that I have with it is it's size. I remember before G Shocks came along that the smaller men's watches looked normal. These days a lot of those watches look like a woman's watch. Do you think that the "robust" watch is on its way out or will it still be the norm? Great review, thanks.
Just wear the damn watch. If other people have to define their manliness based on the size of their watch, that's their problem... These Casio watches are cheap, durable, and low profile, so they don't get caught on things while you're doing stuff. They aren't a flashy fashion accessory, they are a functional tool.
@@mantravels8830 I already have the F91-W and the backlight is acceptable, but not amazing. The only thing is I don’t like the color variation I currently have, so was looking for something else. Eventually ended up buying neither of these, but the A168WA-1YES with the illumination and the F-94WA-9EF, which is functionally almost the same as the F91-W, just somewhat more unusual design
@@mantravels8830 i just bought it after watching some reviews..in video it looks a bit large for small wrist..but turns out when i got it , the size actually fits perfect even for small wrist..
@@mantravels8830 Do it using ur phones video camera and a multiband casio or citizen. You have to manual receive the multiband watch just before filming both. Do it 24 hours apart, repeat the manual receive before second filming. Using your laptop and windows media player you then count the number of frames different in the 24 hours. The frame rate of the camera is usually 30 per second. If it's 5 frames different that is 5 secs per month. Sorted.
For the Price, probably the BEST watch ever made.
And it's not available in India 😭😭
Have you tried the classic f91? To know how this compare to each other
@@francohic I have both & this has better backlight.. f105 is the twin brother of the f1w with upgraded backlight..

I didn't thought the illumination would be so bright and nice on such a cheap watch. Looks great.
The new F91! This will be legendary in 2040.

since a few years I feel more and more attracted by these watches. I love my 5610u
Casio! News bulletin: replace the stopwatch with a countdown timer or have it along with the stopwatch! It would be a super-useful feature. 🔥
That would be the Casio W-202: stopwatch and timer (with optional auto repeat) and much improved backlight compared to F-91 and siblings
Thank you for showing me how to set up the time
great review, nice job with comparing it to the other casio watches. 👍✌👌
love f91w exept the light ... hoping this is an upgrade
Definitely an upgrade. I used to own an F91w and never liked using it in lower light.

what cooler thing to have your watch say than ILLUMINATOR? just ordered one of these!

The light kills the f91. I work nights and being in the dark sometimes the el light becoems useful.

Thank you Jan, didn't mean to start a fire. You are right.
Not sure...
I don't like my watches too large...and I think oversized watches may just be a fad...bit people have their own preferences

Military time?
Yes it does have military time

Is it thicker than the F91
Yes...by a little...f91 is about 8.6-9.0mm thick with the f105 @ 10mm thick...no noticeable diff in thickness, but a diff there is...
How can I buy it in india.
Because it is not available in india
Please tell me
I want to buy this watch
Looks like the black color is out of stock. They got gold and silver avail
Not sure then...ebay?
You don't have Casio stores in India?
So it’s practically the same as the F-91W, without the nice design, but with good backlight..
Yes, the backlight makes a difference...

I think the w217h makes more sense because of the larger digits. But the light sucks.
Yeah...that's my Casio Easy-Reader...actually the light isn't bad...
buy casio w217h-9av..black and gold/orange..the light is good..if basic blue lining , it only lights the digit not the whole display..
