Chuck Missler Stopped Short On Matthew 24 - RAPTURE proofs

  • Chuck believed that Jesus was speaking about the rapture in Matthew 24, verse 42.
This study picks up Mr. Missler left off, looking at the original languages and the context of Jesus’s words,” in the days of Noah” to show us that we can confidently see that Jesus gave pre-tribulation rapture instructions as an appendix, at the end of the Olivet discourse.

@destinycoach5 of course there is a rapture and it absolutely is pretrib. But you're right in saying CM was wrong. Matthew 24 has nothing whatsoever to do with our rapture. Only Paul Taught that we have a rapture before Israel's 70th week starts up.
We are not appointed unto wrath, but Israel absolutely is appointed unto wrath.

@@bugsocsollie1694 Matt 24:29-31 Jesus is coming in the clouds with his angels to get his people from the four winds. The second coming has two important elements. The coming of Jesus with his own and he is coming down to earth with his own. There is not one hint of this two elements in Matt 24:29-31. In contrary, Jesus in the clouds is gathering his people from the 4 winds. And there is no hint Jesus is coming to earth. How on earth do you think this is the second coming? I'm 1000% pre-tribber but you can't twist Matt 24:29-31 just as you like to fit your view. That's not honest in my view. This way the post-tribber will always have the upper hand.

    • @bugsocsollie1694

@marcelfiechter7436 Yes, Matthew 24:29 happens immediately after the Tribulation of those days. We see all this prophecy revealed in more detail in the Book of Revelation. In chapter 19, He is returning to earth and the second half of Isaiah's prophecy (that Jesus didn't read), and 2nd half of Joel's prophecy (Acts 2:19-20) are happening then.
Then those who went through the Great Tribulation are raised in Revelation 20:4. This is not the rapture of the Body of Christ. There is no rapture. No alive and remaining. No meeting the Lord in the air. There isn't even a physical bodily resurrection: "... I saw the souls of them ..."
This is what happens after He returns to Earth after the Tribulation of those days. It has nothing to do with the Body of Christ Church.
      Are you seeing something different?

I can't help, but laugh. I have a friend that is not really a believer and I have told him that the Rapture is getting close. He literally said exactly what the Bible says, how that people have been saying such things for a long time and that it won't be in our lifetime. He overheard a video of someone saying that it would happen on a specific date and as we know it didn't happen. When a person date sets and the date passes, it makes believers look foolish to people who don't know much about the Word of God. With that said, I agree that date setting is not a wise thing to do.

      Date setters or date watchers?
*NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR?* Hmmm ... 🤔
I used to believe the same as you for over 10 years, so I know where you're coming from, but I did a deeper study on the issue, and was persuaded otherwise. Here's what persuaded me ...
Immediately *AFTER THE TRIBULATION* of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: *BUT OF THAT DAY AND HOUR* knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:29‭, ‬36 KJV)
This is not about the *PRE-TRIBULATION* rapture. Even if it were, you've still got a problem with the tense of the verb when trying to apply it to today:
But of that day and hour *KNOWETH* [G1492] no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
      (Matthew 24:36 KJV)
      G1492 - eidō - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv)
      www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g1492/kjv/tr/0-1/
G1492 - εἴδω eídō, i'-do; a primary verb; used *ONLY IN CERTAIN PAST TENSES,* the others being borrowed from the equivalent and ; properly, to see (literally or figuratively); by implication, (in the perfect tense only) to know:-be aware, behold, can ( not tell), consider, (have) know(-ledge), look (on), perceive, see, be sure, tell, understand, wish, wot. Compare .
      God says ...
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and *GOD REQUIRETH THAT WHICH IS PAST.* (Ecclesiastes 3:15 KJV)
The rapture won't happen on a random day. It will fulfill every jot and tittle. That which is to be has already been. God requires it.
For *NOTHING* is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither *ANY THING HID* , that shall not be known and come abroad. (Luke 8:17 KJV)
      I believe God meant 'nothing'.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you *ALL THINGS,* and bring *ALL THINGS* to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26 KJV)
I believe God meant 'all things'.
      *JESUS NOW KNOWS*
'The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which *GOD GAVE UNTO HIM* , to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John' (Revelation 1:1 KJV)
      *THE DAY*
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as *YE SEE THE DAY* approaching.
      (Hebrews 10:25 KJV)
I believe God meant 'the day'.
      *THE DAY*
But ye, brethren, are *NOT* in darkness, that *THAT DAY* should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:4‭-‬5 KJV)
Are you in darkness or light? Light, right!
      *THE HOUR*
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt *NOT* watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt *NOT* know what *HOUR* I will come upon thee. (Revelation 3:3 KJV)
I believe God meant the 'hour'.
So teach us to *NUMBER OUR DAYS,* That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 KJV)
I believe God can teach us to 'number our days'.
*RETURN, O LORD, HOW LONG?* And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. (Psalm 90:13 KJV)
The context of God teaching us to number our days is the return of the LORD! When God says 'the day' and 'the hour' believe Him.
      God bless you
P.s. For the record I'm not claiming to "know" but I'm loving His appearing and keeping watch, as commanded to. The rapture day will fulfil every jot and tittle.

If you read the scriptures very carefully, it clearly states that the tribulation happens and then Jesus says in Matthew 24:29-31,
29 And immediately after the tribulations of those days, shall the sun be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from
heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
30 And, then, shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall
all the kindred’s of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man come in
the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall
gather together his elect, from the four winds, and from the one end of the
    heaven unto the other.
So if you are all waiting on the pier waiting for the Ship, you will be sadly disappointed!!!

My brother rejected Jesus Christ, he was a Godless "Unitarian" religion follower. I tried to talk to him many times about the Salvation of the Lord Jesus, he would have none of it. Success in his Chief IT Security Management position was what that made him happy. On a snowmobile trail, he lost control going fast around a curve and was thrown into a telephone pole. He died instantly. I am sad to this day that he died from what I presumed was in an unsaved soul condition. I pray I am wrong about my presumption about him.
Death can come for you anytime, of course. Are you ready to stand before Jesus Christ for Judgment when you never turned from your sins, and never loved Jesus Christ by obeying him?

Hello - Your brother has not lost any salvation. Remember, there are many religions. There were many before Christianity and there will be many after (the current New Age has been in operation since 1941 at the Second Coming when the Lord Jesias introduced the new Ascended Masters and inculcated the fresh Aquarian Age). There is no Judgment Day. Each judges himself in the Higher Astral after each incarnation of which we have many we have all signed up for our spiritual development. Blessings - RevDrD/Ministry

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

I love to compare Luke, Mark and Matthew side by side, line by line, word for word. Most especially the Olivet discourse. As soon as I heard Luke could be for the Pre-trib rapture folks, Mark was for the left behind soon to be the great multitude and Matthew was for the left behind Jews, I dove in. In Luke Jesus wears an elegant or gorgeous robe. There is no abomination of desolation in Luke. In Luke at the triumphant entry the people lay down their cloaks for the Lord. In Mark and Matthew they laid down their cloaks and branches they cut. ( Their works, the branches they cut, were needed because they missed the age of Grace ) Only in Luke does the thief on the cross get forgiven by Jesus just for believing and proclaiming. There are so many others that you will see if you do this study on your own. It is amazing. Also, in many versions, in The Lord's Prayer, in Luke, we don't ask to be protected from the evil one. Why? Because if Luke is for the Bride, we are gone before the evil one appears.

This are interesting details. I found in Luke a verse that is nowhere else in the other Gospels or even in the whole Bible. Luke 23:28-29 weep not for me but weep for yourselves and for your children. The days will come, when man shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the p*ps which never gave suck.
This one is more for the left behind. I believe Jesus will save all the children at the rapture in the beginning before the tribulation hits. And then people all around the world will say exactly this. And I believe the Lord will take the new born out in the tribulation sometime during the breastfeeding. So there won't be any new people in the time of tribulation. I believe this because of Luke 21:23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! Jesus doesn't mention women with little children. Why? If you are fleeing it's much worse to have little children. They need food. That's much worse than to be pregnant or to breastfeeding. I believe Jesus told that this way because he knew the children get already saved in the beginning of the tribulation. And Luke 21:23 is in the middle of tribulation when the son of sin will take full control and the mark is introduced.

I do think that those who did not know, refers to the ones left out of the ark, as verse 38 is the context for 39. " 38 For as they were in the days before the flood: eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark. 39 And they did not know until the flood came and took all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of man. "

Yes, it definitely show's how the rapture is like the church going to the ark as Noah. But Noah and his family were prepared for the wrath and knew it was coming as we should be to. It was those who Noah had preached to in the long building time of the ark that were taken unprepared because they did not believe.@@graphite7

1 Thes 4:13-17 is the second coming with the only resurrection for the saints which is on the last day, last trumpet (John 6:39-54, 11:24, Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:52).
Luke 17:22-37 is the pre-trib rapture without a resurrection. There is a flash of light and dead bodies when life seems normal (eating, drinking, etc.).
We leave our flesh on earth (Luke 17:37). We get a heavenly body in heaven (1 Cor 15:40). Maranatha!

Your confusion comes from not considering what Paul says. 2 Timothy 2:7
Only Paul Taught about a pretrib rapture. Matthew, Mark, Luke John, Peter, not even Jesus Himself mentions a pretrib rapture: only Paul. Your confusing what Paul taught for the Body of Christ Church, with what all the other NT writers are saying to Israel.
It's Israel's 70th week of prophecy. It isn't to for or about the Body of Christ Church. Israel has known since Daniel wrote it down, that they will be going through this time of Jacob's trouble. It's their 70th week, the last days, when the Day of the Lord is at hand.
Their 69th week came and went. Christ died on the Cross, and the city and temple were destroyed, but their 70th week never came.
That means that the past 2000 years have not been about Israel. It's been about the Body of Christ Church. We are the mystery that Satan had no idea of (because there is no mention in OT Scripture about us anywhere, in any way) , otherwise he never would have crucified Christ in the first place.
We are out of here before their 70th week comes, but Jesus said nothing about us or about our rapture. He was talking to Israel. He sent Paul to talk to us.

@@onetakendotnet Jesus went up to the Father before Israel's 70th week was about to begin. It didn't begin. What came instead, was this Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles because Israel rejected their Messiah and their kingdom.
So just like Christ went up before Israel's 70th week was to begin, the Body of Christ Church will also go up before Israel's 70th week actually does begin.
Paul was a "right divider," Peter had nothing to divide (everything he knew was for Israel, and not for the Body of Christ), Jesus never spoke of the Body of Christ Church. He only came for Israel.
Paul's rapture happens before the ac is revealed. The ac is revealed when he confirms Israel's covenant for one week (Israel's 70th week), which doesn't begin until this Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles is over. Romans 11:25

Good breakdown of Matthew 24 and word study ie paralambano.... many people read the Bible in English but the true meaning of certain words are lost in translation.
Also, the parable of the fig tree is the ONLY parable that Jesus told AND said "NOW LEARN this ...." There is a lesson / a gold nugget in that parable for us / for those who read and study it..... in that we may KNOW the nearness of His coming and especially the snatching of His bride BEFORE the tribulation/ time of God's wrath .... for we are NOT appointed unto wrath but to obtain salvation.
Throughout the Bible God has never judged the righteous WITH the unrighteous. We (the true believers/ bride) ARE the righteousness of God IN Jesus Christ - we HAVE BEEN made righteous by God and based on the character and nature of God we, the believers will NOT be judged with the unrighteous during the tribulation period.

I break down the fig tree parable at the 23 minute mark.
I compare it to Luke 21.
At the time I really liked what I presented, but since then and since the October 7 terror attack I’ve learned so much more.
In the video linked above, it is noted that the nations around Israel also received their national identity in a day, but it was proposed that Israel should receive their statehood way back in 1917 but instead the enemy nations that surround them were all reborn from the autumn Empire as individual nation states prior to Israel.
Set the scenario that the moment Israel is born, in a day, May 14, 1948, that the nations around them would go psalm 83 and cut them off from being a nation.
The 1917, Balfour declaration prepared the land for the people. The holocaust prepared the people to flee to the land, and this current conflict is turning Israel back to Judaism as opposed to atheism. The tribulation will turn them to Jesus.
It’s also interesting and amazing and it’s happening before our eyes!
God bless you today and look up, our redemption draws near!

Revelation says the day is coming when you'll have to have a 'mark' in order to buy or sell. In the 70's I thought people would have to be branded like cattle but that's because the technology was not invented yet. Today it's much clearer.
When the globalists talk about the 'great reset' it means they intend to collapse the global economy and replace cash with a digital monetary system. A bio metric device or implant will allow you to tap your hand or scan your forehead. The problem with a digital system is that you will be tracked so you'll have to be obedient or they'll turn your account off.

No matter what 'deeper meanings' you believe you see in a scripture, it never contradicts the face-value meaning of the verse(s) you are 'interpreting.' Let The Bible speak for itself - it never contradicts itself and Jesus Christ never subordinated HIS Word in His Gospels to Paul or anyone else...
"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." - Ps. 89:34
"knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 20,21
That includes Churches, 'Scholars,' book writers and all of their conflicting doctrines and chaos without which there would be no "Christian Denominations."
"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." - Ps. 89:34
Let The 'Biblical Word' on the page speak for itself.
"So also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear A SECOND TIME, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him." - Hebrews 9:28
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,- 'AT THE LAST TRUMP : for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." - 1 Corr. 15:51,52
"By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until THE COMING OF THE LORD WILL BY NO MEANS PRECEDE THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and WITH THE - TRUMPET - OF GOD, AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL BE THE FIRST TO RISE. - AFTER THAT..., we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." - 1 Thess. 4:15-17
"But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection." Rev. 20:5
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." - Rev. 20:4-6
(Where are the 'pre-tribbers' in this one of a kind promise…? These are the ONLY ones who need not fear "The Second Death." )
I don't know 'the day and the hour. I just know what the Bible says on the written page… and fortunately, what it does not.
This is all post 'Mark of the Beast' and 'The Elect' are still here.
    The Harvest of the Earth
(Discusses the 'Rapture') The 7th Trumpet
"14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." - Rev. 14:14-16
    The Wrath
The 7th Trumpet Immediately Preceding The 7 Vials/Bowls
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." Rev. 11:18
The 7th Trumpet OPENLY begins both the "Wrath" and "The Harvest of the Elect." The 'wrath' begins with "The 7 Vials/Bowls" (No decoder ring required):
"And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God…" - Rev 15:6,7 (7th Trumpet)
This below is "The 6th Vial" called forward in The 7th Trumpet. (Be Prepared for… the rapture)
"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." - Rev. 16:15
And doesn't that sound a lot like what Jesus said in Matthew 24:
"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up." - Matt. 24:42,43
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." - Rev. 22:11
    And
"Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates." Rev. 22:14 ESL
" HE THAT OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and HE SHALL BE MY SON." - Rev. 21:7

When I read Micah 7 verse 2 you see that all the godly perish and then you get to an area that reads similar to Mark 13:12. As I was looking at this, I was seeing the tribulation period. I have listened to other videos and 1 of them showed that perished could also be translated as escaped or vanished. If you read it that way it makes more sense as the layout of the rapture and then the tribulation.
    Micah 7:1-6
1 Woe to me! For I am
Like harvests of summer fruit, like gleanings of grapes.
There is not a cluster of grapes left to eat,
Nor an early fig, which I crave.
2 The godly person has perished{Strong's H6} (can be translated as escaped or vanished) from the land,
And there is no upright person among mankind.
    All of them lie in wait for bloodshed;
Each of them hunts the other with a net.
3 As for evil, both hands do it well.
The leader asks for a bribe, also the judge,
    And the great one speaks the capricious desire of his soul;
    So they plot it together.
4 The best of them is like a thorn bush,
The most upright like a thorn hedge.
The day when you post your watchmen,
    Your punishment is coming.
    Then their confusion will occur.
    5 Do not trust in a neighbor;
Do not have confidence in a close friend.
    Guard your lips
From her who lies in your arms.
    6 For son disavows father,
Daughter rises up against her mother,
    Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
A person’s enemies are the people of his own household.

I’m thinking that the Matthew 10 passage is a fulfillment, even before Jesus goes to the cross, considering the context.
Micah,? We’ll just have to see. I would interpret it closer to what the NIV reads
Micah 7:2 (NIV) The faithful have been swept from the land; not one upright person remains. Everyone lies in wait to shed blood; they hunt each other with nets.
I prefer translations over the NIV, but sometimes the meaning comes forward better in other versions. It would seem to me that Micah is saying he can’t find any good people in the land, and everyone is gone their own way.

Exactly! The parallel passage to *Matt 24* is found in *Luke 17* where we find additional dialogue between the disciples/Christ. After Christ spoke of 1 taken/1 left, the disciples asked a simple *2 word* question of the Lord. They knew OBVIOUSLY, where the ones that remain would be...they'd be right where they were PRIOR to His coming.
They wanted to know where the ones that will be TAKEN will end up & they asked, _"Where Lord?"._ *vs 37* Christ makes a clear reference to the "supper of the great God" that we read of in *Rev 19, * for the ones that will be TAKEN, are taken away to JUDGMENT. From this we can see it's clearly not the rapture. This alone refutes a "POST-trib" rapture.

Futurists believe in Futurism because of what they have been taught. Most preterists have beliefs based on biblical truths.

Actually both futurism and preterism were introduced in the 1500’s by Je$uits Francisco Ribera and Manuel De la Cunza as part of the counter reformation.
Once you read not only what the great theologians but what yje reformers unanimously agreed upon you’ll understand why both of those eschatological views were invented.
      Look into the Historicist view.
Revelation is symbolic language with a literal fulfillment. Why do futurists take everything literally in Revelation except when they don’t? The OT provided us references to what the sun, moon and stars mean. Hail, earthquakes were never literal.
John was told to write down things that were, are and will be (paraphrasing) The people of that time understood what he was saying.
Tell me, what verse in the Bible tells of when Jesus’s ministry would begin, when he’d be anointed as the most holy and WHEN He’d be crucified. The time was told.
The most pivotal prophecy in history has been lied about, made to be about the antichrist. Absolutely heartbreaking!

The days had been normal until the flood hit. But be careful with normal. In the days of Noah had been also wars. There was no paradise. My translation for our time is the financial system will still work until the tribulation hits. But then it will break as written in Rev 18. I expect the big war starts before that great day of the Lord as written in Daniel 11:40. The South (US) will push against the North (brics+) and then the North will overthrow everything. And then comes Daniel 11:41 but these shall escape out of his hand, Edom and Moab (the seed of the father), and the chief of the children of Ammon (the hidden one). That's the rapture with the 144000 (the hidden one) in my opinion.

If revelation 7:9 talks about the innumerable multitude whom have come through the great tribulation and have washed their robes. John was confused as to whom they were. Jesus revealed who they were.. Wouldn’t it be symbolic of our generation? as we haven’t faced anything resembling the great tribulation as of yet. I See it from the lenses of The Three of Life “like Noah’s days..” is known to be a representation of humanity being Noah put into the Arc/ The cross as He/ Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross so was I. He was Risen on the third day as the Greek word “arrows” .the arc, as we are, is risen above the earth. All while cleansed by The Water/ flood / Holy Spirit. Here is the manipulation of trying to understand our God logically, we stay stagnant waiting for “something” to come make it all right again instead of knowing “ It is finished” and rising like the bride of Christ/ ekklēsia that we are, Now

That is an interesting application and it is interesting. How many places in the Scriptures can be applied to our present Hope in the Lord for today.
The intent of my video is to find the technical meaning of Jesus‘s words. To the passage. This is often known as the The historical-grammatical method and aims to discover the original meaning of the biblical.
As a pastor, I want to know what God said, and what he means, and as far as making spiritual allegories, I’m just not that creative. I guess you could say the Bible is my science, My goal is to understand what Jesus was saying His hearers and let the Holy Spirit make personal application for each person.

Reading Matthew 24 over and over again, I grew convinced, that the Lord Jesus is talking about two different comings.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”
That is not going through normal day to day life like harvesting, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.
So He is talking about two effents. Two marriages Lea and Rachel. Lea was first, Rachel (the beloved one) was second.

    • @marcelfiechter7436
      @marcelfiechter7436 6 місяців тому

Exactly. I read all the comments here. You are the only one in my view that got it. Jesus answered two different questions. When is Jesus returning and how the end looks like. First Jesus answered the question about the end and then the question about his coming. That doesn't mean the first answer comes chronologically first. With the mentioning of the days of Noah Jesus clarified below the timetable. First comes the rescue and then comes the pain. First comes Matt 24:27-51 and then comes Matt 24:4-26. Compare it with Joel 2:28-32. The sun/moon goes dark too here. And then check Joel 2:1-27 and Joel 3 the whole chapter. The sun/moon darken is key. The first one in Joel is for the Israelits, the second one for the believers and the third one for the unbelievers. But there will be also believers. And this will be the tribulation saints. Those days shall be shortened is for the tribulation saints.

YET 10 seconds later you have tribulation saints who missed the boat that will have to suffer, they will be beheaded abused and killed. Rev 20 v4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. V5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
1 Thes 4;16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: V17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Who are the dead in Christ that rise first? Those who were killed for not worshiping the beast. V5 in Rev The rest of the dead did NOT LIVE AGAIN UNTIL THE 1,000 YEARS HAVE ENDED. This is wishful thinking and false teaching they just repeat what they hear and will not read the scriptures. If God saves the CHURCH and the tribulation saints must suffer God becomes unjust. Let me start with what Jesus said of his return. It is plain and fairly specific. Matthew 24: 29-31
“29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
What did Paul write in 1 Thessalonians 5 that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night…but...in verse 5 he writes that this Day should not overtake us because we are not in darkness. In 2 Thessalonians 1:7 and 8 Paul writes that we will receive rest from those who have troubled us, when? When ...Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God,
When is this Day? Jesus told us in Matthew 24:29...immediately after the tribulation. Paul clarifies even more in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4. 2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of [a]Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits [c]as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The foreshadow of His return can be seen in the Exodus.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem and the people went out to meet him was a foreshadow. The virgins going out to meet the bridegroom is a foreshadow of this. When the people went out to meet him, did he turn back, no, he continued into Jerusalem with those who came out following. Did the bridegroom turn back when the five wise virgins met him, no, he continued to the bride's house as was the custom. When Jesus appears in the clouds and we are caught up to meet him, what will happen? He will continue to earth with his angels along with all caught up to him (resurrected and changed) accompanying him.
Revelation is to reveal Yeshua and his Lordship, his Kingship, his rest and reward for those who have endured until the end, held fast to his command and refined by the fire. He will take vengeance and release his wrath upon the antichrist and all who follow him...just as the Hebrews were protected from Gods wrath upon the Egyptians so will believers be divinely protected through the tribulation. Will we escape many hardships? No, the anti-christ and his followers will seek to destroy us.
Another question, if the pretrib rapture is true, why was Daniel told to rest until the end when he would then receive his reward. Daniel 12:13. 13 "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."
John 5 is also clear on our Lords return.

Hello - This is only the top of the Material Realms. The Other Side between incarnations is but the first of the Spiritual, still a far cry from the actual Heaven which is at the top of the Divine. This takes many millennia of lifetimes and spiritual development to reach. There will be no general Rapture. Each is assessed individually upon attaining the fifth-dimensional frequency in body and soul. The Second Coming was on 4 June 1941 and the Re-ascension on 28 September of that year. During the 1000 year reign of Christ he will be ruling and reigning over the Earth, but when the thousand years is completed, the church will dwell with Jesus in the new Jerusalem, this is the place he’s gone to prepare for us from John chapter 14. The examples of the days of Noah and the days of Lot were given by Jesus to show that just prior to God's judgement (wrath) being poured out on the ungodly, He comes to take His people to Himself. It cannot be prior to the tribulation
As long as the words 'tribulation' and 'wrath' are used interchangeably, one will never know the timing/season of the rapture of His people. Moreover, those who have slept in Christ, and those who are alive and remain, are resurrected and raptured within one event. God's word discloses this event as the first resurrection.

Correction, it's nowhere written he will return after the 7yr tribulation. It's your assumption only because it's written at the end. Do you really believe Jesus won't do anything on earth during this 7+ years? It's the biggest harvest. And if Jesus has work to do on earth during this time so will his people - his bride. But it will be spiritually. We can't imagine this in our limited thinking.

I love Chuck Missler but, after being taught and believing in a pre-tribulation rapture for 35 years of my Christian life, I absolutely do not believe a pretribulation rapture is Biblical at all and it was never taught or believed by the church until the early 1800’s. That’s why we have a library full of church writings throughout the centuries and not a single paragraph, let alone a letter or book, can be found anywhere in church history. Until the rapture was invented in the early 1800’s. Now we have 10 million books about it…I believe the Bible is completely clear on when we will be gathered in the air to our Lord. Jesus tells us that after the Antichrist is revealed, the abomination of desolation, which happens in the middle of the great tribulation, there will be a great trumpet and he will send the angels to gather his elect (Matthew 24). Paul tells us it will happen at the LAST trumpet. The last trumpet cannot happen before the trumpet Jesus says will sound in Matthew 24. Paul also tells us in 2nd Thessalonians not to be fooled by anyone. The coming of our Lord and our gathering together to him will not happen until after the rebellion and after the Antichrist is revealed. Paul’s teaching about the Rapture matches exactly what Jesus taught in Matthew 24..Paul also tells the Thessalonians that their relief from affliction comes when Jesus comes with his fiery angels in judgement (2 Thess 1:6-8) not at some secret rapture before then..It really takes some serious scriptural jiu jitsu to create a pretrib rapture when Jesus and Paul were so incredibly clear. Our being caught up to meet the Lord happens at his second coming. Just as the people would go out of their city to escort an emperor or conquering general back into the city. This is what they did and this whole scene would’ve made perfect sense to the people of first century Judea and the people living under the Roman Empire.

The examples of the days of Noah and the days of Lot were given by Jesus to show that just prior to God's judgement (wrath) being poured -out on the ungodly, He comes to take His people to Himself.
As long as the words 'tribulation' and 'wrath' are used interchangeably, one can never know the timing/season of the rapture of His people. Moreover, those who have slept in Christ, and those who are alive and remain, are resurrected and raptured within one event. God's word discloses this event as the first resurrection.

You are casting onto this comment section a number of red herrings, intending to divert from your initial point. You initially made a comment about how someone who does not know God may misconstrue what God's judgement (wrath) actually means. My reply to you was that when someone does not know God, they take the spiritual things of God as foolishness. Your reply skewed-off into another direction about wisdom. In addition, you threw into the conversation about
one of the judgements of God upon Egypt, and an attempt to somehow equate it with the serpent (the devil) spewing water like a flood after the woman (true Israel). And then, throw in a Scripture verse about how they (the overcoming tribulation saints) overcame the devil by the blood of the Lamb. These are three different scenarios, having three different contexts.
You are all over the map with this.
God does not see this as spirituality, but an awful attempt to prove another wrong.

Sometimes, things need to be spelled out; but the answer to your question was within my comment.
The timing of the first resurrection is immediately after the tribulation. The tribulation ends when those who have slept in Christ, and those who are alive and remain, are removed and taken-up to be with the Lord. After this, God's judgement (wrath) will be poured-out on the ungodly.

Jason, who beguiled thee to believe the Lord declared his will in the Greek language?
The whole book is settled in heaven for ever. The LORD declared the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done in one pure language.
    In the beginning the whole earth was of one language and one speech. The advantage the Jews have had is that all the oracles of God were given in the Hebrew tongue. The words of the LORD are pure words and they are in one pure language known as Hebrew. Read: Psalm 119:89. Matthew 4:4; Isaiah 46:9,10; John 3:3; Luke 8:11; 1Peter 1:23-25; James 1:18,21; Psalm 33:11; Psalm 12:6,7; Zephaniah 3:9; Genesis 4:25,26; Acts 26:13,14,15,16; Acts 22:1,2;
    Romans 3:1-4; Proverbs 22:20,21; Hebrews 12:2; Psalm 68:11; Jeremiah 36:15 - 18; Luke 1:1-4; Acts 20:27; Isaiah 34:16,17; Deuteronomy 4:2; Revelation 22:18-21.
Adam, the first man had all 66 books of the book of the LORD'S holy scriptures:
Matthew 4:4 with Isaiah 46;9,10; Psalm 33:11; and Hebrews 9:16,17
Read these precepts from the book men call (the King James Bible), which I know with certainty is the true Hebrew language.

      Thank you for the comment.
When Jesus says the hour, that doesn’t necessarily mean one hour or moment in time. There is the first fruits of the resurrection, the first resurrection, and the second resurrection, which is the second death.
This following passage shows that Saints arose with Jesus after his resurrection.
Matthew 27:51-53 (NKJV) 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
The church is judged at the bema seat of Christ and the church must be judged first seeing that Peter says judgment begins at the house of God.
The second death, which is the second resurrection from revelation, chapter 20 is the great white Throne judgment, this is a resurrection, judgment and death.
Matthew 24, verse 31 is the end of the tribulation of those days and the final portion of the question the disciples asked.
The following section is an appendix when Jesus says now, focusing the attention on the parable of the fig tree.
Then he unveil a mystery, to something they didn’t even ask the question
These are the instructions on the pre-tribulation rapture.

No offence brother, but you are wrong on several points. Many people say the first fruits resurrection. However, there is NOT one scripture that teaches that. Also, many people teach the saints that came out of the grave when Jesus rose are the FIRST FRUITS. Again, there is NOT one scripture that teaches that. If there were scriptures, you would have given them. Then you say the second death (Lake of fire) is the SECOND RESURRECTION, Again, there is NOT one scripture that teaches that. To prove my point, if there were TWO resurrections, we should be able to find the word Resurrection(S) plural in the bible. There is NO such word in GODS WORD. There is ONE bodily resurrection. The FIRST resurrection in Rev20:5-6 is NOT a bodily resurrection. It's when we are BORN AGAIN (Jn3:5) the NEW MAN. Jn5:24-25 Passed from DEATH unto LIFE. (Spiritually resurrected) Eph5:14 Awake thou that sleep and ARISE from the DEAD. 1Jn3:14 We know that we have passed from DEATH unto LIFE. (Spiritually resurrected) Remember what Jesus said in Jn 11:26. This is why those who have part in the FIRST resurrection, have no part in the SECOND DEATH. Last but not least. Many teach falsely that the BEMA seat is only for believers. 2Cor 5:10. For we must ALL stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Whether GOOD or Bad. (Believers and unbelievers) This is talking about WORKS. It NEVER says believers ONLY. Now go to Rev20:11 Great white throne. Vs 12 and I saw the dead (ALL that are in the graves Jn5:28-29) both great and small. And the BOOKS were opened. And the BOOK OF LIFE. So, if the great white throne is ONLY for unbelievers, why is the book of LIFE opened? This is the sheep and goat judgment. Remember 2Cor5:10 (Judgment seat) is about judging everyone's works. Now read Rev20:13 EVERYONE was judged according to their WORKS. You can find the same teaching in Rev 11:18. Thats why there is ONE day of judgment. Act 17:31 and "A" (ONE) resurrection. Act 24:15. His deciples were not asking about the rapture (yes there is a rapture) they were asking when was HE Jesus coming back to reign and rule as in the second coming. Also in Matt. 24:29 the Tribulation is already over and Jesus is coming to kick Satan and his henchmen behinds. Revelation 4:4 also Rev. 5:9, Rev 5:10 is the rapture of the true believes shown as the 24 elders. Remember Revelation is your roadmap to the end times. See you in the clouds. Also sorry but Tribulation is 3 1/2 years. 7 years is assumed and a tradition. That is stated over and over but ignored. 42 months, 1260 days, 3 1/2 years, and time times, and half a time.

We know (from 1 Thessalonians 4) the resurrection happens first, and then the rapture. So the answer to “when does the resurrection happen?” is critical. I believe these verses answer that question…
      2 Thessalonians 1:6-7
      1 Peter 1:6-7
      Matthew 24:29-31
Titus 2:11-14 (our blessed hope is the glorious appearing of Jesus according to this scripture)
      Colossians 3:4
      1 John 3:2
The coming of the Lord happens once! He doesn’t come half way before the tribulation in a secret rapture. Scripture above is clear his coming, and our hope/redemption/rest, happens at the glorious, FIERY, appearance of Jesus to the WHOLE world!

1 Thes 4:13-17 is the second coming with the one and only resurrection for the saints which is on the last day, last trumpet (John 6:39-54, 11:24, Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:52).
Maranatha!

@@onetakendotnet I’m pretty sure that’s not correct regarding the Luke 17 scripture. There is no pre-trib rapture. Not at all. Look at this verse in Luke 17…
”so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.“
      ‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Jesus is talking about his 2nd coming! Just as lightning in the sky, when he’s revealed to the whole world, the resurrection will take place, then the rapture, and then the things in this scripture. Look how he talks about the person on the rooftop… that he should not come down to get his goods along the way. Since the rapture of the Saints is an instantaneous change at his glorious appearing, these people who are both taken in the field, or in bed, or are not to look back or grab belongings on the way, may actually represent the unsaved Jews who Jesus gathers from the nations!
This verse has been confusing to me but I just prayed over it and the above understanding came to me.

Nope. Matt 24:29 is the rapture when the sun/moon darken. Compare it with Joel 2:28-32. The sun/moon will go dark just once. It's the day of the Lord and it's very close. It's the rescue and the pain.

We must measure the pre trib "theory" against scripture, right? 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 and 1 Thess 4:16-17 are obviously the same event, and it takes place at the "last" trump (1 Cor 15:52). What happens at the last trump? Jesus returns. The 2nd coming and our gathering to Him ARE the same event; there's no pre trib rapture in scripture. How can we testify against the anti christ and be caught up at the same time? What good are the "elect" if we're not here to testify? It makes zero sense. The answers are in there, please seek and find them. I'm convinced, as I've studied the "pre trib rapture theory" for over 40 years (and I bought into it) that it's a satanic deception.... teaching that Christ shows up for His church before the anti christ gets here, when scripture teaches the complete opposite.... be careful please because scripture teaches that the anti christ shows up first, looking just like Christ, doing miracles to deceive the elect, and that he will deceive people with peace and prosperity; 2 Thess 2:3-4 and Daniel 8:24-25. Pre trib believers are vulnerable to this lie. He will not show up persecuting believers, that's happening now. And why wouldn't Jesus mention the pre trip rapture to His beloved apostles when they asked Him about the time of His coming and the end of the age in Matt 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13? In fact, He said the complete opposite! That we should prepare to testify! Pre trib preachas say this scripture doesn't pertain to the "church", that the "church" is not going to be here, but they can't prove it with scripture, and that's ridiculous when you think about it; that Christ's warnings don't pertain to us, the church?! Read also John 6:39,40,44... he will raise us up at the "last" day.... that word is "last".. .the last day... no pre trib. Matt 24:13 and Mark 13:13 "... those who "endure" until the "end" shall be saved. That word "endure" is Greek word # 5278 and the definition is; to tarry behind, to stay behind, to remain, not recede or flee.... check it out. So the pre trib doctrine teaches "don't be left behind", when Jesus teaches that only those who are left behind will be saved. This should concern all those believing pre trib theory. Don't worry, the Lord will give you the words (Mark 13:11), and yes we are spared His wrath of course! But not with a pre trib rapture. Prayerfully study and believe the Bible over your pre trib preacher. The Lord's in control, we're His kids, and we're going to kick dragon ass! The pre trib rapture doctrine uses "redefinition" of words, supposition, and conjecture; don't be deceived. Satan used scripture to tempt Jesus in the garden; we are called to be wiser than the serpent. Don't be afraid 2 Timothy 1:7-8. Oh, and if the church isn't mentioned after Rev 3, who are the believers mentioned in Rev 6? And where is the raptured church mentioned in Rev 20:4?

I seriously advise caution and warning with teachings about a pre tribulation rapture. Why?
Both Yeshua himself and his Apostles taught and instructed us about the resurrection to Eternal Life.
Yeshua, the Apostles and even the prophets all talk about the Lord's Day.
When is the Lord's day or His second coming? Various passages infer that this will be at the Last Trumpet Call. Yeshua himself in Matthew 24 specifically states that this will not occur until Immediately After the Great Tribulation.
If we are to believe that he'd come and rescue his Church in the Last Days before the Great Tribulation then this would mean that he'd come here first to gather his elect before his 2nd Coming or his return. He did not teach this and neither did the Apostles.
If you want scripture based evidence towards these types of false teachings, false doctrines we can resort to Ezekiel 13 which strictly refers to the Lord's Day as well as how God feels towards such false teachings. Towards the later part of chapter 13 he even expresses his disdain towards those false teachers that would teach his children, his flock, his people that they will fly, that their souls will fly.
Yeshua also great expressed that those who endure to the end will be the ones who shall survive, shall be saved. He even warned about false teachers and prophets in Matthew 24 and later in the 2nd half of Matthew 24 he uses a parable to teach his followers and refers to the Great Tribulation or compares it to the days of Noah.
When he compares it, he states that the Great Tribulation will be much worse than that of the days of Noah and just like it was in those days, they were drinking, marrying, etc... and that they all laughed, mocked and scorned Noah and his warnings. They didn't believe him and they rejected the warnings. When the flood waters came, it was Noah and his family who were obedient to God's instructions, who endured to the end which were saved. Those who rejected the warnings, living in their wicked ways were the ones that were swept away, carried off by the flood waters.
When the Great Tribulation does come to fruition the Church or His Church will still be here. Yeshua stated this in several ways: "It was given unto them to even make war with the saints." "Here's the patience and faith of the saints". "And behold, I seen the book of all those who were written in the Book of Life whom were beheaded that did not accept the Mark of the Beast." and so on.
This enture rapture theory didn't start being taught until the 1800s, it's a relatively newer concept or teaching. The Apostles and the Early church didn't teach this. They did teach the Resurrection.
So what's the passage about in Thessalonians where Paul uses a distinct form of harpazo where it's the only occurrence or form of that word? The original Greek word means "caught up" or "snatched away" as by robbery. The form that Paul used is interpreted as: "will be caught up", or "will be snatched away".
Yeshua does say he will send his Four Angels to gather those that are his. And Paul does express that we will meet him in the sky, or air. Yes, when Yeshua does return to this Earth, he will come with all of his Glory and Power and with the Host of the Heavens including the saints. Those who are dead in Christ. When one dies from the flesh, "to be absent from the body (physical - flesh body) is to be present with the Lord. The chapter of Thessalonians that Paul is writing to the Church in the first half of the chapter he's reminding them to refrain from sexual immorality, to keep faith in the Spirit of the Lord, and the baptism as well as the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He also appraises them for their works in Macedonia which at the time was a very dangerous place to tread. Then in the 2nd half Paul tells them not to have sorrow, doubt or grief for those who died for the cause. This reflects back on the part that those who are asleep (dead in Christ) are already resurrected and with him.
He then goes and states that we who remain: those who are still alive on the day that Christ does return will be resurrected in Him. We can not be in the presence of the Lord in his True Form while we are in the flesh. This is the entire teaching of that which is corruptible must put on that which is incorruptible. When Christ does return it will be known. It's not a secret. Sure we don't know exactly which day nor hour as this is the reference to his coming like a "thief in the night". Yet, his announcement will be heard and known world wide. All the Nations will mourn in that day! He comes with a Loud Shout.

      (...continued)
So what does it mean that we who remain and are still alive will be caught up in the air? Many think this means we'll be risen to the clouds (to fly up) but this is misinterpretation or representation of the word. How, and why?
When we read through the scriptures both O.T. and N.T. even from the words of Christ himself, there are many passages that were translated into the English as the word Hell. This is quite important. However, when many people read this just purely in the English they tend to think that every time this word appears it means or is referring to the same thing and this is not always the case.
What do I mean by this? There are several words from both the Hebrew and Greek that were translated to Hell. Some of them simply meant "grave" or "tomb" as in where the body is put when a person dies in the flesh. Their body is lowered into the Ground or into a Tomb in other words, hell. There are references to where hell is a place of torment such as Hades, the Lake of Fire, Purgatory, Tartarus, etc... and finally hell can also be a place of great sorrow or horrors such as a bloody battlefield. Take the trenches of WWI for example. Those who survived it and were witnessed to it, they could easily describe it as being hell on earth and they wouldn't be wrong in that. There are many different types of hell. Just in the english alone without any kind of context, what about, here and hear (different spellings, but same sound), or where, wear, or two, too, and to. Or how about plane? We have air planes, and we also have mathematical geometrical planes. So without having full proper context of the message it is easy to misunderstand what is being implied or intended just from a single word. We need to, no we must consider all of the other surrounding words to build the basis of the context. Then on top of that, we also have to understand all of the various parts and figures of speech not just in English but also from the Hebrew and the Greek. Then on top of that we also have to consider when it was written, what their life, governments, cultures, etc. were like, as well as to who it was written by, the target audience, etc...
Understanding this will help us to understand the teaching of "being caught up in the air, clouds, sky". Yes, Yeshua will descend down to the Earth coming from the Sky, Clouds, Heavens... And when he does, he will send his angels to collect those that are his. However, for those who are alive at that time and did not accept the Mark of the Beast (Immediately After the Great Tribulation). They will be transformed from their physical body to their Spirit - Eternal Body. They will be resurrected (not from death of the flesh body (the first death)), but will be resurrected from Life to Eternal Life.
Ask yourself this. When you walk around outside and you are able to breath in the air, are we not already in the Clouds? Are we not already in the air? Are we not already in the Sky? We are for we are not in the ground, in the graves, tombs or hell. Yeshua doesn't need to "beam us up like Scotty from Star Trek" in order to Resurrect us into our New Bodies. He can do that where we currently stand. If you don't think so, refer to the scene when he was with Martha and commanded Lazarus to Rise.
I've been reading and studying the word for over nearly 30 years since I was about 14 and I'm now 43. I'm not a "theologian scholar from some accredited university". I'm not a professional or expert in the Hebrew or Greek languages. Yet I am highly capable of doing my own research, using various tools such as Concordances, Lexicons, Dictionaries, Grammar books etc. to better understand what it is that I'm reading. More than that I also rely on the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the gifts there of through my Baptism in Christ. With that I do not believe or trust in these teaching. I do however, trust and believe in his teachings of the Resurrection within Him to Eternal Life. I do not believe the "church" is going to be spared come during the Great Tribulation. In fact I believe that the Church will face oppressions worse than it has ever seen. It has come to my understanding that the "rapture" theory which comes from medieval Latin not from Greek Harpazo is not sound doctrine.
I present this as a warning for others in that they may be aware of it and to seek the council of Yeshua the Christ himself through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. To test the fruits of it. We must remain vigilant with all due diligence for the tactics of the enemy is always there to seek to destroy us:
      Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
And here's evidence of the persecution of the saints, of the church during the Great Tribulation.
      Revelation 20:4-5
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Seriously, go and read Ezekiel 13! Here's couple of very good teaching on the subject matter:
This is based on 1 Thessalonians 4 and references Ezekiel 13.

This is based on Ezekiel 13 itself:
      ua-cam.com/video/ZiVLePDRtJI/v-deo.html

@@graphite7 I'm always open to hear others, yet I try to trust and rely on the Holy Spirit for Guidance and my heart tells me that this pre or mid tribulation teaching isn't right. So I'll have to look into what you are proposing.
Now, when I was in my late teens early 20s about 25 years ago I had an out of body experience. It wasn't a near death experience for I was healthy and was nowhere near death. I was in my living room resting in the recliner in a meditative - prayer state. I never lost consciousness and my Spirit body was taken from my physical body. I was able to look down and see my body resting in the chair. I was then pulled - guided through the ceiling - roof of our home and was brought up above the canopy of the trees. I could see for miles on end. I was then brought to a specific location. I had no control of freely exploring but I was able to look around. All of my senses were enhanced 7 or 10 fold, all except for my ability to hear. My vision, my scent, my ability to feel emotions, my ability to feel the differences in temperature were all enhanced. It was surreal. It was more real than life on this earth. I couldn't see any other people or creatures, but I was able to feel the presence of others. I couldn't hear anything or spoken words, yet I was able to feel others being able to communicate with me through my emotions. The feeling that I had was telling: "Don't worry you'll be okay".
When I was finally brought to a specific location that I was familiar with, I knew where I was. What I was able to determine was that I was in the Spirit Realm but I wasn't able to perceive the actual Spirit Realm. What I was seeing was our physical realm, but it was at a different time. I knew that it was something that I had to witness, something that I had to experience. What I had witnessed next is not for the faint of heart.
I didn't just see it, I was also able to feel it and smell it. I will never forget it. Even to this day, nearly 25 years later I still remember it as if I had experienced it like it happened yesterday. I seen a great destruction beyond anything this world has seen. I'm talking on orders of magnitude worse than what Japan had experienced during WWII. I'm talking 100 fold worse. I seen a bright white light in the distance and it approached me in matter of seconds over 100 miles away. When the white light reached me, I could feel the temperature going from a peaceful spring summer day of about 70 - 80 degrees F. to where it felt like I was standing on the surface of the sun. Now, I could feel the temperature but it had no effect on me. This goes back to the message of the others that I was able to feel their presence where they communicated with me telling me not to worry that I'd be fine.
Then the bright white light started to fade and when it did it became very dark almost pitch black but not quite. It was a dark grey smoke that engulfed everything and when the smoke started to spread out and begin to clear, the horizon was a dark deep read and orange haze. It was fervent, like being in a kiln. Metal objects were red hot and glowing, plastic and rubber were melted. Gas cans, gas pipes, etc. combust into flames, there was no sign of glass anywhere. The tree tops look like spent matches. Again I didn't see any people or creatures (animals), yet the worst of it wasn't what I had seen. It wasn't what I felt via temperature. No. The worst was the smell. It was absolutely horrible, it was putrid beyond imagination. It smelt of smoke, burning, and death was everywhere.
Then after this I was thinking to myself: "Okay, now what? Why was I shown this?, etc." And the same presence of others who were still there communicated to me and said, "Don't worry, you still have time". And then I was instantly brought back to my physical body and I jumped out out of the chair. It took me a minute to realize all of what it meant. Then it came to my understanding that this was a future event. I knew in my heart then, that I would live to become a full grown man, potentially even old. I'm middle aged now and it hasn't happened yet. The one thing that I've always felt from witnessing it is that this is something that will happen within my Generations Life Time even if I don't live long enough to see it. So, this is telling me that this event will happen anywhere from about now upto or within the next 50 years...
I know what's going to happen and where. I just don't know exactly when. I also don't know if it is a single isolated event or if it will occur all over the place. Yet the destruction that I seen from the epicenter had at least 100 mile radius, perhaps even more because I was about 100 miles from the central point and the blast, shockwave, the temperature that hit me, still had enough force and momentum to continue on for almost another 100 miles...
And although I wasn't able to see any people walking around, I was able to see the cities, buildings, cars, etc. and at least within this vision, I'd say that the Church was still present. So I do not believe in this "rapture" theory. I do however believe in the teachings of Yeshua that pertains to the Resurrection by and within Him!

Now, to be honest. I truly don't know. This is what my heart is telling me, and I could perhaps be wrong. What I do know to be 100% truth or fact is that Only God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit knows the full truth of the matter. And this is why we are to put our Trust in him! That much I do know. It's just that I feel a great warning in my heart towards this teaching... It just doesn't feel right to me. So I try to warn others of it and provide the examples and references that I've came across to at least give them the tools that are needed to discern in their own heart what may or may not be the truth. For me, the most important thing is that a person is either Baptised in Christ or not. Either you believe and trust in Christ or you do not. It is also my greatest hope that one day, someday, somehow each person in their own way will come to know and accept Christ. It hurts me deeply to think that anyone of us regardless of our own transgressions would end up in the Lake of Fire. I would rather see them without corruption embracing the fullness and happiness of joy in Everlasting Life. This is why I stress more towards the teachings of the Resurrection than I do this alleged "rapture" theory which came from the Latin, not the original Greek or Hebrew.

My friend you are just regurgitating Evangelical doctrine, and not looking at the context. Jesus never spoke of the rapture anywhere. The most common misconception is the famous " No man knows the day or the hour" Evangelicals immediately assume that is the rapture. NO ! Jesus is answering the 3 questions the disciples asked him earlier at the beginning of the chapter. Specifically, when is the end of the age. To assume this is the rapture means Jesus can't carry on an intelligent conversation without jumping subsects and giving no prior clue. As far as Matt 24:42 goes, notice Jesus said you don't know the hour. He didn't say day because Daniel tells us that. He is telling the Jews be ready because judgement begins first with the house of the Lord. That means Jews ( not us ) they get judged first, then rest of humanity.

There is NO pre tribulation rapture or resurrection..When you see the Abomination of Desolation occur and then great tribulation, you will see that your church doctrine has lied to you. Many believers will fall away and take the mark on their foreheads or hands.

The important differences between the rapture and second coming are as follows:
      1) At the rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation 19:14).
      2) The second coming occurs after the great and terrible tribulation (Revelation chapters 6-19). The rapture occurs before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
      3) The rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:9). The second coming includes the removal of unbelievers as an act of judgment (Matthew 24:40-41).
      4) The rapture will be secret and instant (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The second coming will be visible to all (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:29-30).
      5) The second coming of Christ will not occur until after certain other end-times events take place (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Matthew 24:15-30; Revelation chapters 6-18). The rapture is imminent; it could take place at any moment (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54).
Why is it important to keep the rapture and the second coming distinct?
      1) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, believers will have to go through the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
      2) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, the return of Christ is not imminent-there are many things which must occur before He can return (Matthew 24:4-30).
      3) In describing the tribulation period, Revelation chapters 6-19 nowhere mentions the church. During the tribulation-also called “the time of trouble for Jacob” (Jeremiah 30:7)-God will again turn His primary attention to Israel (Romans 11:17-31).
The rapture and second coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events. However, it is crucially important to recognize the differences. In summary, the rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath. The second coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the tribulation to an end and to defeat the Antichrist and his evil world empire.

@@graphite7 In summary, the rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth...Geneva Bible Matt 24:30 and then shall all the kindreds of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man come in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect, from the four winds. And they will meet the Lord in the air.
And then the earthly judgement in form of 7+ years of tribulation begins. But this will also be the great harvest with the tribulation saints (sea of glass...) and the 144000 as the witnesses.
