That's it. That's the issue I've been having with it. This is not a Guardian card. Guardians don't move, they don't steal. They random bullshit go it. This would have fit so much better as cloak and dagger. And that would be easier to work with since that characters stuck in either form.
The reason is Cloak and Dagger was annnounce near Marvel Rivals release. Marvel Snap need 2-5 months to make a card. If Cloak and Dagger was in the Marvel Rivals beta, 100% they choose Cloak and Dagger.

So it never really had any chance of being Cloak and Dagger because they don't have a Team up effect....But I do wish they'd of kept workshopping this combo. It just doesn't fit in with what all the other Guardians do.
@@animo358it absolutely slots in well w/ the guardians -- rocket & groot A) motivate the enemy to play in the two other lanes, helping the guardians be more consistent, B) can be moved in order to "read" the enemy (as guardians do) and C) synergize w/ guardians friendly cards (i.e. jean grey) Would have loved for this to be cloak and dagger tho, but the team up reasoning makes sense.
I'm finding this card very versatile! Not sure I like it in a surfer build, but it adds a new level of flexibility to affliction decks that I'm really enjoying. Feels like this can slot in well in a handful of decks regardless of CL.
I got the new card in 1 key, so very happy about that. I now for sure can use 4, if need be on the Victoria Hand week. I have Devious plans for Collector Discard, and must get Hand and Bullseye. I think Moonstone might be able to double Victoria hand as well though, so I'd like to try and cook with all 3 of those cards.

Unless someone has head up ass, I'm obviously saying the card isn't good enough to spend keys getting it on my main, as there are better cards incoming. It's interesting enough to practice with on my alt. And if you can't figure out on your own the benefit of having an alt, I don't think I can help you much. Any other ingenious questions?

@@ninaisnoob I wonder if Jean works better to drop as a turn 5 play to force someone to play into it on the final turn or to pair with an earlier dropped Negasonic which they dodged. If you're pretty set in winning one lane you could move an early Rocket & Groot into that Jean grey. With Hope you could drop Jean and Nega on turn 6 then go from there. Could be potential. I just wish Jean was a 2 drop and then make it so her ability activates on later turns similarly to Arishems energy changes they did recently. Gives the opponent a turn to try and play around the Jean before having to play into her on the last few turns.

It really is a weak ending to a season, banner is indeed rng ass(that never works in my favor XD) and outside using rocket-groot in an ajax deck(might be valid), not risking keys for a blob variant, as i already have a selene one :D
U should wait till the end of the week if some people cooked with some decks, but i dont think its a must have. Especially with Blob Selene in the rotation
I just find it funny how so many people were dogging on Doctor Doom 2099 since they saw trailers for him, but were hyping up Bruce Banner and Rocket & Groot. I must have a sixth sense for this game because I immediately saved for Doom2099 before anything else. But I have always been a fan of Ramp and Jubilee decks, so that could be why I wasn't afraid of the "play one card per turn" structure of the card. As for Rocket and Groot.. Seem underwhelming. It's almost like the opposite effect of Nebula but with move functionality. And the fact you only steal 1 power per card really dampens the potential. The fact that it can so easily be undone by a Shadow King or Luke Cage(at least half way)... I mean it's better than current Bruce Banner for what that's worth. Surprised this ability if for Rocket and Groot rather than Cloak and Dagger.. Missed opportunity there. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw buffs incoming for Bruce and R&G.
I don't know who you were watching but most I've seen were talking about how good Doom 2099 was going to be (Cozy might be one of the few not super on board) but I do agree that Rocket & Groot were talked about as being really really good.

I’d saw Copycat, Cassandra Nova, Hope Summers, Sebastian Shaw (if you’re doing pure surfer), Red Guardian would be my picks over Rocket and Groot
Brood is a must have for Surfer too. But yea, the ones ghouulie mentioned are all better in Surfer than R&G imo.
