And now I realise I might need other bulbs because I'm not sure mine flower at different times..and I never grew alliums (yet :p ). Anyways, this container will give you lots of times and colours of interest ! ^^
Love this thank you so much. Going to give it a try as just been given some big planters and wasn’t sure what to put in them. Can I use old compost and not have to buy special bulb one ?
You're welcome. Great idea to put your planters to good use in this way. There's no need to use a special bulb compost but if you are going to use old compost, we would suggest adding some slow release fertiliser to give it a boost. Bulbs should have enough energy stored to grow but it's worth giving them a little help to ensure you get a great display.
That's going to look gorgeous with all the different colours. You have some lovely pots and containers. Do you buy them from the garden centres? Your garden is still looking really nice and colourful and makes a great background for your filming.
We usually get them from garden centres, but this one was here in the garden when we moved in. We're really looking forward to this next spring as we've packed a lot in. It's the first time we've used alliums as part of the lasagne so it's going to be interesting. The plants are holding up well so far. Long may they continue 🙏. Love and best wishes Wendy. 💚🧡
We didn't do a specific video on it flowering but you can see it in the background with the tulips in flower on the video titled 'Forest of Dean Garden Centre Haul' Link - ua-cam.com/video/g9avNW9JCQE/v-deo.html Good luck with yours 😀

It's okay to have some flowering at the same time too. Thanks for watching and taking inspiration from the video 👍😁
Great video
Thank you so much for your kind words and thanks for watching 😀🙂

Do you have an update on how this turned out? I’m attempting to pot mine the same way

Can you do this in the ground?
In theory yes, but we've never tried it that way. If you do please let us know how it turns out.
