When your teacher says there’s only 7 questions but it’s actually 1a 1b 1c 2a...
Relatable and absolute hell
But that's less scary than 100 marks for 7 questions for sure! Cause at least they'll be short answers questions ╭(°A°`)╮
reminds of Back to School final exam. Professor only had one question...in 26 parts!!!!
I remember one time, in an history exam, there was only like.... 10 questions
multiple-choice questions. Easy.
But the last one was an essay question XD
Some people were losing their mind but that was actually easy for me.
I have no memory (at all), but if you have to explain the logic of something,
I am your man.

Brett not noticing the clef change: Welcome to maths, where not noticing one little negative number means you bollox the entire page long problem.
At least half the questions on this were things that in principle are simple, but oh so vulnerable to 'stupid mistakes'.
Paul Wagner so true. Happened to me.
Paul Wagner Luckily in physics (I guess upper level), everything is written in symbolic form (mostly Greek letters) so tracing back to that negative sign just takes a bit of work. It was known in my class that our very intelligent, but sometimes too excitable, Ukrainian physics professor would most likely have missed a negative sign somewhere, which was then given as an exercise for us to find that mistake
As a Maths major this hit too close to home, I'm triggered
This happened to me during a math test and it wasn’t pleasant receiving the paper back.

@@11thShadowDragon falsehood
@@11thShadowDragon they already made it clear eddy is very smart. in terms of academics, there is no way. remember they said eddy was studying to become a doctor and took a seat from the top students just to prove to his parents his ability, so he could study music. no typical musician is going to beat eddy in general academics if u let them both study. ofc, a music lecturer or test marker probably could, but only at their own subject. basically, what we know is that in the academics side, within twoset, eddy will always be the representative. brett could be representative for violin playing. and notice eddy rants the longest in roasts. eddy is the q&a stuff imo. and notice eddy brags b4 the test. u can tell they know who the academic one is from their communication too. eddy acts like the marker.

Random funny story about theory: I was taking my RCM Advanced Harmony exam a few years back. There are 4 questions, where question 1 is writing counterpoint, question 2 and 3 are SATB chorale/harmonization/harmonic analysis style, and question 4 is where they give you an opening of 2 bars and then force you to write a 12 bar piece following the opening, with certain restrictions on modulations and cadences. It's supposed to take 3 hours, which seems long, until you start writing it. Anyways, at some point I was getting pretty worried about time, and then I noticed something: one option (there are multiple options for the questions) for question 2 used the same excerpt as another option for question 3. I immediately proceeded to transpose my answer for question 2 onto question 3, and gained back a lot of time for myself. In all my 17 years of living, that was probably the biggest-brain move I've ever made on a test/exam.
In my career, in the final exam of the year on Research Methodology in Social Sciences, a field in which I understood almost nothing, with some miserable notes, my best friend lent me her impeccable notebook with good notes for three days. And then I became enlightened, I understood everything, it was very simple and I got the best grade in the course 😳 A miracle. 💖🇨🇱

@@supernoodles908 actually it does since perfect pitch actually help you to know how the note sound
As a child, I took two years of piano. Then at the end of elementary, I started violin classes early over the summer. I proceeded directly into intermediate classes instead of beginner... and that's how, for 8 years I played violin while knowing almost no musical theory! I realize I "knew" the scales, length of notes and rests, etc, but if you told me to play a scale by name for instance, I couldn't match that to the ones I knew by ear! I have perfect pitch, so I am sure that helped, but looking back, I'm amazed I played through 8 years of this, ranging from 1st - 3rd chair in the 1st violins. I did well in varsity, chamber, solo & ensemble competitions, even sight reading and never had problems... but I always wanted to learn to read music better. I stopped playing in college, but TwoSet made me recently start playing again. After this video, they inspired me to look at beginner music theory info online and in the first exercise I already learned things I didn't know. Doh!!! I should've done this a long time ago. inking papers afterwards is the WORST though T_T
Why 2b? Isn't it smears?
accidentally fell into a violin-related youtube hole with these two despite never having touched a violin in my life but i finally found a video i can relate to. the abrsm papers gave me war flashbacks but tbh i was always better at theory than practical.
Translations of "langsam" and "mit Ausdruck": * laughs in German native speaker *

Ahhh Deutsch ist sehr schwer
When people say picking music is an “easy major”, just show them this video.
This is all ridiculously easy. I'm shocked that ether of them got a single one of these wrong. Faked for the camera perhaps?
nathan87 It’s easy for those of us who’ve mastered it. Otherwise, not so much. I find it believable that they could be rusty. I know I would be and I’m only 7 years out of college.
@nathan87 It could still be real, considering they only have 30 minutes and didn’t get to double check what they wrote. Panicking can affect us a lot.
That's why I chose visual arts. It's mostly intuitive and I found I was good at it.
show them grade 8
Bruh, if I could have talked out loud like this in my uni theory exams I would have done so much better!! 🤣🤣🤣
"If you can gradually get slower, you can gradually get quicker"
Aah a new motto
you mean a new "molto"?
nvm i should go sleep
*Every time they do an ABRSM video I just get endless Vietnam flashbacks.*
The giant exam hall...the pencil in my hand. I always drop my eraser. I read the key signature wrong. I did parallel 5ths in my composition and didn’t notice. The invigilator asks for my ID while I’m in the middle of counting intervals and I want to SCREAM.
Eddy: Tenor clef? What's tenor clef???
Me, a cellist: hey, hey, hey, I KNOW THIS ONE!
"Are you smarter than a 5th grader?"
Probably not.
i _was_ a fifth grader and got 98 in 20 mins
Chaos -Emily Li- wtf how i used to struggle with grade 1
