I am your father will forever go down in history as the best line in Star Wars
“I am your father” will forever be the best known quote in Sci-Fi history
Second best. First will always belong to “It’s Darthin’ Time” from the Kenobi finale, where Vader Darthed all over every single Obi standing in his way.
Wrong. Best quote is "But I need to go to Toshi station to pick up some power converters!"
I like when Darth Vader fought Salazar in the castle 🏰 and told him “no way bro!” Before saving Ashley
One of the best lines of all time. How many movies has it been used in? Whether it’s a joke or not
He's a legend !!!! His voice is so powerful, captivating and iconic! 🙌🏻
Absolutely!! ☺
Mufasa ooh do it again
The Legendary James Earl Jones. The Voice of A Father, the Soul of Darth Vader.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Agreed 🤝, Right Above to Mufasa... Vader is one of Mr. Jone's Finest Voicing Roles
Jones as Darth Vader will always be the best voice over job in cinema history.
What about Optimus Prime?
@@gustavogiblani that was more so on television.
Not a skillful voice over since his mouth doesn't move 😂
He really had the perfect voice for Vader, So glad he voiced it.
Field of dreams🤩
Oh, yes! He does.
When the live action version of “the lion king” came out, they hired James again, to voice Mufasa.
Just like in Star Wars, I can’t imagine anyone else voicing the lion king.
Agree
There is no Star Wars without JEJ
From Vader to Mr. Mertle, treasure this man while he's here. Once hes gone, there will never be another like him.
The most terrifying words you never wanted to hear from Vader- “You have failed me.”
If you only knew the power of the dark voice.
Seriously, can you even imagine someone else other than JEJ as Vader? It was his destiny.❤
James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Robert Belgrade, Patrick Seitz, Michael Clarke Duncan, Tony Jay are some of the iconic voices in my childhood.
Can’t believe he did all of that and delivered those lines in one day. What a legend. I know at the time he didn’t get his credit or transparency James is a legend
Imagine a radio or audio play starring james earl jones, morgan freeman, michael caine, ian glain, patrick stewart and ian mckellen, all these iconic and great voices.
James Earl Jones was the voice of Mufasa in the lion King
That's right
One of the greatest actors, voice guys of all time. I'll be sad when he's gone. Cherish Mr Jones....wrap him in bubble wrap lol
Always loved Sir E. Jones as an actor. True art appreciated.
Very iconic is he. The voice, strong with this one.
James Jones and Morgan freeman have epic voices
My god only 7000 dollars I hope he gets more now
Oh Lord yes. He also is the voice of Mufasa in the Lion King. That voice is dark and warm ,mysterious and comforting, regal and fatherly, frightening and edgy, expressive and colorful, soulful and dramatic, charismatic and totally unforgettable!! Gods gift!!!
He probably got more than that by now from Lucasfilm/Disney, he isn't complaining about being paid only $7000 on the first film, probably only an initial talent fee without royalties
And his name wasn't put on the film credits! smh
@@JG-bj1js JEJ himself chose not to, on the first film, as he said it would invalidate or overshadow David Prowse's performance in the suit
@@Shinyboy29 true he probably knew it would be a classic and thought legacy was worth more than money
The man with the coolest voice
0:49 1:09 1:29 1:47 1:52
Can't imagine anyone else voicing Vader
Came here after finding out he's officially retiring from voicing Darth Vader
Same
He may be retiring, but he's given permission for his voice to be artificially recreated for future projects. He knows he's the voice of Darth Vader and knows the fans won't accept anyone else.
@@locutus155 for me the only voice actor that comes close to James Earl Jones is definitely Scott Lawrence. I got too familiar with him when it comes to old Star Wars games
George Lucas in 1977 when he met James Earl Jones:
"Henceforth, you shall be known as: Darth Vader!"
We must move quickly, the other voice actors are relentless!
One of our greats from bingo long allstars and still kickin.
His voice and looks are absolutely top tier. I love everything about him. Everything after becoming Lord Vader. He was dark and black not only in appearance. He also had a black, magnificent voice. I love it such much.
James voice is and will always be iconic. Every time I see him or hear his voice I am automatically reminded of Darth Vader. This mans voice will ECHO in cinematic history. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And for mufasa in lion king.
Omg!!! I cannot believe I have just found this out now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Actually, I really enjoyed it when he used Darth Vader lines in Coming to America. Mr McDowell says, "I'll tell the boy you're looking for him."
His reply: "No. Do not alert him to my presence. I shall deal with him myself." 😯😳😂
Happy Birthday, James Earl Jones!🎈🎂🎁♥️🥳🎉🎊😄
Thank You Forever Mr. Jones Thank You 🙏 🎉🎉🎉🎉
so iconic
The most amazing voice
Iconic voice
The guy who wore the suit had a soft voice my god 😆
And a huge body
Cool
Where can I find the videos of James behind the scenes recording his lines for vader?
Hard to find
I've been looking everywhere for that.
you cant because theyre not from Star Wars. the clips he used are from a behind the scenes featurette from Lion King. The words clearly dont match lol
Jones is to Star Wars what Shatner was to Star Trek. No one else could have pulled it off. But that could be said of other creative geniuses behind Star Wars (and Star Trek) too.
Thought James Earl jones was smoking a joint in the thumbnail 😂
Lol 😆
I was wondering why the lip syncing wasn’t matching until 1:48, that’s from the original Lion King and the next one is from the remake.
So if he was credited he probably could have got more money down the line
He had more money for the sequels, but not for "A new hope".
Hollywood dirty that voice worth at least a billion dollars
$7K for a couple of hours is good money for that time.
Who knew that a simple boy from Mississippi could become the voice of the most famous villain in the history of cinema
Since there is an unveiled casts of Mufasa: The Lion King, Aaron Pierre would be the new Darth Vader voice actor.
That way because James Earl Jones has the same voice and wearing the suit with James as well familiar to Anakin
If anybody can help me I'm looking for a recording of him as Darth Vader but without the mechanical voice of of the mask
93 years old yesterday.
The real voice of darth vader 😭😭😭😭💀 holy shit I almost spit out my soda !!
Dart Vader is based off Ausar aka Osiris and Luke is Heru aka Horus
The fact that he only got 7,000 is wild…but it was the 70’s so it was probably like 17,000 by today’s economy? However, I’m sure he’s got royalties for a millennia!😊
7k for 2.5 hours. That's good money even now
Star Wars Vicente Fernandez everybody!! Especially Mexicans out there!!!!🇲🇽
He’s irreplaceable
I’m here after watching Sandlot 😂
They need to get his voice for a bunch of phrases and lines and then cast him until he retires or passes away, it’s sad to think Morgan Freeman is so old now… and Christopher Lee has already passed almost 10 years ago.
They already did that, casting his voice by A.I
i can't believe someone said that Constantino Romero is a better voice for Darth Vader than James Earl Jones
And now he voices The Bible on the Pray app. God bless his legend voice, James Earl Jones🙏
To think they didn't even credit him in the initial movie. 😢
“Simba, I’m your father…”
Yeah, that's right :)
If I got 7 grand to voice a character for one day, that would become my full time job
from what i heard 7000 dollars was alot of money for a voice actor for that time
Yeah, $7k for a couple of hours
It's too bad James Earl Jones wasn't younger after seeing those photos or at the very least slimmer caused back then I think he could have fit the Vader suit
He gained weight to become a King!
I hope they paid him millions later down the road
Goodbye Star Wars...Hello Smithsonian!
1 days work & 7,000 bucks that changed the world😮... Now they can't even come up with and idea.
2.5 hours & $7k
Hard to believe he originally had a stutter in his voice.
But it's true
He still does if you listen very closely
Bruh those clips are not from him recording Darth Vader 🤣
As you wish
0:41 - sounds like a monty python bit
Jones is Darth Vader.
Prowse was just some meathead they found.
Without Prowse's performance and Jones' voice, we wouldn't have gotten our Vader.
If George Lucas went with the voice of David Prowse or Orson Wells, Star Wars wouldn’t have been as commercially successful as it originally was.
Smart move George Lucas.
The guy wearing the suit's voice would've made Vader look kinda wimpy. I'm with Lucas. Vader needed to sound more menacing.
Poor james earl 😢 and why didn't play character darth vader
Because David Prowse did
wow he only got paid. $7,000
Yeah, but back then, it was good money
His voice was darth Vader. He got ripped off royally.
No sound
Fix your sound
All these videos just regurgitating word by word what James Earl Jones said in an interview, c'mon man be a little original, you are not even quoting him, straight copy and paste
Lazy work
I don't think so.
The fact that they didn't even give him credit shame on Lucas films.
worst video ever. reported to UA-cam and I called the police
Not the worst. Many people liked it
Trust me nothing beats the German Vader
