Thank you for the comparison. I was under the impression that the official figure is of better quality, but after seeing this video, I am definitely going to get the THF version. Well done.
thanks for the tips, I filed down the rear trailer pegs, fits nice and secure now. also turned the head around, had to remove both screws to remove the entire head so I could pry the face off the back of the head. he goes great in alt mode with the WFC deluxe vehicles.
Thumbs up for the extremely detail comparison between the two models. All of us always wants to know the quality difference between the official masterpiece against their KO versions.
Thank you for the comparison and all the advice! I missed out on the official, so now I have a Toy House on the way, and I've been very nervous about the quality. All the side-by-side views you used helps a lot.
This is an amazing review. Very well lit and shot; lots and lots of useful comparisons; perfect pacing; easy to understand. Absolutely all of the information you'd need. I have only two questions: did THF do their own version of Delta Magnus, and did you buy it?
not too worried if it doest roll well since it wont be played with in that way but displayed ....great review! and thanks for heads up on the few issues ....hopefully you will be doing how to videos showing this process
At 5:30 you mentioned something about the arms not tabbing in and you did something so that it can stay in place but you didn't say exactly what you did to make the arm snap in place. I'm having that issue now but I don't see how that can be fixed. Sounds like you said you "Thicken" the tabs, what does that mean? I have another question, would you know where I could find the autobot logo for his arm?
yep, thicken the tabs with super glue. apply it and let it dry and cure, so the tabs catch on better. For the logo, I lucked out because I had a random decal sheet with good sizes. I still had to trim the outline to size. You might want to look at Reprolabels stickers or some decals from Uncle Billy shop on EBay.
Just got mine from a seller who shipped quite fast for being in China (miffy21584). Very happy. The gun tabs were a bit loose, so tightened those up with a layer of clear nails just on the tab surfaces. Also, the tabs for squeezing together the trailer halves, both bottom and top, were a bit difficult. The bottom ones can be loose and move apart, so I clear nails to fix those. The tabs on the top (used to be the arms) are VERY hard to force together, but once you do they ease up a bit the next time. Overall, this is a REALLY good toy and great for the price. Light years better than my original G1. Several faces, everything is very sturdy once it's all tabbed together, and nothing feels like it's about to break. I found a way to store the second gun by shoving it into the space between the bottom / legs in trailer mode. Thanks for the review!
Yeah it's a bit of work to get everything the way it should be, but certainly workable for regular collectors. Once the work is done, it's a great piece. Thanks for watching!
Well done on reviewing the comparison between MP22 and THF! THF HMagnum is definitely a steal when comparing to MP22 price and accessories. Adding the hinge to the butt flap and then tab it to the cab so that it does not fold back down is a smart move. I love everything about THF HMagnum except the stupid red color missile launcher connector when you configured it as G1 toy mode alt.mode. For those that are toy fans, that red color stand out so bad. For toon fan like myself, the red connector is mostly hidden in alt.mode since the launcher is configured on the side of the trailer and not the front.
The knee ratchets are misassembled. I spoke about it in the video. For the other friction joints, a tiny drop or two or superglue would help, but I would exercise caution and keep working the joint after the glue goes in, so it won't get stuck. Happy fixing!
I must say! Your comparison is the most in depth comparison I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal video.
Thanks for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you for the comparison. I was under the impression that the official figure is of better quality, but after seeing this video, I am definitely going to get the THF version. Well done.
As long as u can fix the couple of issues with the THF, then it will be better than the official. Thanks for watching

I hope u find it useful! Thanks for watching
I just received my version today, and I'm very impressed. There are no issues with my version. Thanks again for the comparison 👍
Awesome and congrats
Thanks. Lots of useful tips. i had to repair the right leg ratchet as well.
This was years ago and it still holds up for me

My pleasure and I hope u like it when u get it
good job dude! thanks :) now I'm convinced to get the THF
I'm sure it will be worth ur while. And thanks for watching!

Thank you! This was shot years ago and I probably could do it better today. To answer your question - I don't think they did a Delta Magnus
this is actually quite a good review/comparison. hope your channel takes off man
Glad u appreciate the video. Thanks for the words of encouragement! :D
Great review and thanks for pointing out how to fix the issues with the shoulders and the head
The knees might need fixing too. Glad to help
I couldn't even tell what he did for the shoulders.

Glad I didn't get the official one. Will get this one for sure. Thanks
For the quality and small fixes here and there, this is well worth the price!
Thank you for the fix suggestions, I had to do everyone including both knees.
My pleasure, as long as it helps you get more enjoyment out of this Magnus!
I am now also convinced to get the THF.
Yeah, I just wanted potential buyers to know what they are getting themselves into, if they think they can do the same fixes. Thanks for watching!
How did you thicken those hinges @5:27 did you use glue or a soldering iron?
Apply Superglue and let it cure
Great review! Definitely looking to pick up the THF Hyper Magnum forsure.⭐
Thanks for watching! For what it's worth, he's good value 😄

I think mine will be here soon! Thanks for the video, now I know what problems to look for and how to fix them. 👍
Glad to help, and hope the fixes turn out well for u. Thanks for watching!
Nice detail video. Thanks a bunch!
Great comparison
Amigo!
Existe um Ultra Magnus equivalente em tamanho ao MPP10 de 33cm? Eu não estou achando. Todos que vi até então são menores ou do mesmo tamanho.

I agree with u! I'm happy with what I got out of this THF. But it really needs fixes in a few areas, that I don't mind.
Awesome comparison! How did you thicken the shoulder tabs?
Add a layer (or more) of superglue and let it cure
@@xcorpeo Oh cool thanks! I found your channel trying to learn about THF-04, and this video was amazing!
Thanks for the head advise. Really roll very well.
For sure, easy fix. :)
Awesome review! By the way, what did you do to tighten the knee ratchets/joints? By any chance you have a demo? Tha k you and more power.
The knee ratchets are misassembled. I spoke about it in the video. For the other friction joints, a tiny drop or two or superglue would help, but I would exercise caution and keep working the joint after the glue goes in, so it won't get stuck. Happy fixing!
Just tweaking the problems with my figure now. How did you thicken up the tabs on the inside of the shoulder panels so they click in better?
I use a dab of superglue on top of the nub/tab. Make sure to let it dry and cure
My THF Hyper Magnum is great. And I just applied a sheet of reprolabels which look amazing. I just need to get my 3D autobot symbols to complete him
I'm not sure where to get the 3D logos, but I've already applied normal 2D decals to him. Still enjoying him now. Thanks for watching!
xcorpeo I applied a 2D one to one of his shoulders. I’m just looking for 2 Autobot symbols to go in those spots on the trailer in vehicle mode
Please explain how or what you did to thicken those shoulders nubs or pegs. Name of agent used to thicken it
Apply a layer of superglue and let it dry. It should harden and thicken that part
Hey magnus, you no longer have a butt flap!
"I CAN'T DEAL WITH THAT NOW!"
Good one hahaha. Thanks for watching
Uh butt I like the butt flap.
THEY FIXED THE BUTT FLAP!!!!
Takara should be ashamed of themselves for not doing that in the first place.
Haha they did!
Good review really
Thank u for watching and commenting! :)
Wow! he above TT.
yes in quite a number of ways!
No rule
