I just took my first drive tonight after getting V12. It was life-changingly mind-blowing. I've had FSD/beta since nearly day one and have enjoyed the gradual improvements, but this was on another level. I felt like I was driving the car. It was so smooth. It made so much sense. Everything happened as I would expect and I was truly comfortable for the first time. As a hyper vigilant person, this is a game changer. Well done!
Wait until Tesla reaches level 4 capacity then you won't have to worry about the wheel, but when level five gets here? You're going to see the wheel taken out and what will happen is what level 5 is going to do is make full self-driving really self-driving for people who can't drive like myself!
Dave, great demo of FSD 12. Idea for another test. Plan a trip where you will have to stop to charge up the batteries. Can FSD monitor the state of battery charge, compute when and where to stop at a Tesla Super Charger location, drive you to that location, where you park and charge and continue the journey?? Fun test! Nick (W7FSS).
Navigation monitors the state of charge and calculates where to charge, whether or not you have FSD. What FSD adds is doing the actual driving, once Navigation figures out where to go to charge.
In fairness, the Toyota Sienna which cut you off entering the highway (at 14:50) had a very short entry and was committed to enter your lane as his lane was ending with a concrete barrier. I think you both share the blame. He should have waited and you could have moved over a lane to let him in. From the Tesla animation on your screen, it seemed like there was room to move the left lane. However, you both were kind of screwed by the entering lane being so short due to the construction.
Not sure why Sienna is at fault? Merging is not cutting in line at Starbucks and should be done peacefully and safely. If anything FSD was to blame because it should have either slowed down to let the vehicle in or moved over to the open lane. It’s just common courtesy
I find that v12.3 breaks hard and way too early then creeps up to the stop sign. Also, hesitates too much. I hear everyone says it's great but not even close to my experience :-(
Epic episode that actually documented you passing up an opportunity for a Scottish Breakfast in Columbus!
I know ☹️

Thanks for sharing
My Tesla beeps at green light too I love my Tesla Model 3 almost 6 months of ownership now!
10:49 man that was excellent. Had no visibility due to line of sight blocking and thus started to slow down.
Well done man, love it 😊
Thanks a ton!
I’ve used the Pilot on a plane using the plane’s Autopilot analogy for years when discussing FSD Beta and highway Autopilot.
Please show us the anomalies also like the one on 41:35 that I'm assuming you skipped.
In every video
Wow impressive.
Hi Dave. Highway is still v11 stack. Only city driving is v12. I'm not sure if you mentioned that.
Don’t I know it
Nice drive, Thanks. Also, the green light alert only works when being driven manually the FSD doesn't need it.
Cool, thanks
Please provide some chapter marks or time stamps where issues or disengagements are. That is what people are interested in. Thanks!
31:50 make sure his car is in the home Wi-Fi. If not, updates are delayed.
I see you have a dash cover with Tesla T emblem - bought it from Amazon I assume? I have one myself - good match!
Very nice. KIWEN Tesla Model 3 Model Y... www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFGS9545?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
19:49 make sure to always give feedback to valid disengagements, so the Autopilot team gets the data back :)
I do every time you will see that in the videos
My only complaint would be the Tesla auto pilot didn’t go faster once on the highway but it also didn’t have a speed limit sign
Once you get in a highway it changes to supposed sign and you can adjust it to suit
DAVE, YOU ARE THE BEST !!!

PERFECT!!!@@BigBen621
Hi Nick, it’s not at the level to do that but keep watching, when Grok gets integrated that will appear. Best 73
I think you mean "torsional torque" (to indicate to car you are paying attention) and not "rotational torque" as the latter means disengagement.
Most viewers wouldn’t know what that means so rotational torque sounds better 😁
Dave, I’ve noticed in V11.4 that unmarked rural two-lane roads get a speed limit of 25. Wonder if that’s what happening at the I-26 on-ramp?
It’s v12 now 😁
Now that I’ve been driving v12 for a while, I see that those rural roads are still getting 25 mph default.
Other cars may not have fsd but they don’t cost 12000 to get either
And blue cruise works well on hwy. your friend Kyle Connor likes blue cruise.
It now $8000 and my buddy likes everything

@@benc3336 Yes, that is what a human driver would've done.
I didn't get that update yet! I have not had an update since December 2023
You should have had it by now
@@evdave528 I'm waiting for the newest update. Haven't got the newest update yet. I got this update after I commented on here.
Dave with all your gadgets you should consider investing in a fixed camera instead of a Mobile imo - safety first!
My cellphone iPhone 15 pro max has the best video of all
Dave, I believe that V12 is only active on city streets and that it falls back to V11 on the highways.
That's my understanding as well
Correct
And where did you get the fabric Tesla dashboard cover? It looks fitted.

This wouldn’t be Trident Microsystems Dave, would it?
You never know
Do you ever get phantom braking? I never see it on your videos.
Haven’t seen it in a long long time

That’s changed 12.3.6 but will get better
Please use a mount and don't film free hand while driving.
