  • With an average roster age of just 24.5 years old, it's no wonder why the Boston Celtics were a bit surprised when 40-year-old guard Manu Ginobili schooled the youngsters at the game he’s played longer than a handful of current Celtics.

Like these kids even understand what it means to be 40. They won't appreciate what Manu's done until they are 40 themselves. Then they'll understand how truly special it is to not just play at 40, but be effective on an NBA court at 40.

User true but i think they'll realize what it truly means by 35 or 36

How so true. I'm 37 and couldn't come close to playing with this 22 or 23 year olds. I'm hurting just thinking about it. Damn I'm old.

Manu lead west guards in per being top 2 for like a 4-6 year stretch. That alone shows how skilled and talent he was. As a 6th man 3rd/4th option his whole career he easily could’ve gotten much better stats but chose team success and his per thing doesn’t even show clutch and athletic he was

They also refer to him as Manu, and not as Ginobili. That makes it closer, with more respect.

We need to learn a lot in Argentina when it is about accepting the good game in front of us and be more competitive and humble too, this ppl talking about Manu's big game is just amazing

I've always wanted to see a Celtics-Spurs NBA Finals. Both teams have such great teamwork ethics and leadership on and off the court. Hopefully next year! In the meantime, may Boston torch Lebron and the Cavs!!!!!

Spurs fan with much love for the Celtics big 3 team. Especially towards the end when they were running on fumes but just gutting our wins with doc playing like a 8 man rotation
