- This is my new 2012 Kia Forte Koup SX. Traded in my '10 Rio today to upgrade to something a little nicer. This car has so many features that I wanted to do to my other car but didn't want to spend the time and money..so I bought a new car altogether! Please if you have one, comment what sort of things you've done or want to do!
I own one, very smooth and has a nice acceleration. Has nice speakers, Bluetooth, and 2.4l which can keep up with 0-60 cars.
Yeah the speakers are pretty nice, better than most stock. I wanted to upgrade them but I don't see the need.
how does it run now? any problems etc. I wanna get one soon
Nothing really, make sure you get all year tires or you will slide, not your car out of line and will eat two good tires.....
I wanna buy one it seems perfect for the price..But i heard that it got a noisy cabin is it that annoying?
My '13 is pretty much the same as yours minus the paddle shifters, and automatic. I put the Turbokits CAI on it. Supposed to increase HP by 7, but didn't get a big difference on the strip. I got a stock vid up (on the strip) will put up the CAI strip vid sometime this week.
I am happy for you... I used to have a 2010 model it had no LED head lights and no paddle shifters... It's a real nice sporty car tough.

Thanks man! I miss the Rio but this one is nicer. Not a huge fan of a coupe but it is what it is. More so an impulse buy lol
Bmak18 how your car so far? Got mine EX... just curious about reliability of korean made cars...i attracted to the body line of the koup thats why i have but in terms of engine i have not much idea compares to the japanese made known for durability and reliability... so far i enjoy driving my koup only but i noticed not good in gas..
still pacman My Koup is actually pretty good. I've owned the Rio and that was a reliable and fuel efficient car. Never had any issues with it which is why i stuck with Kia and got this one. Definitely a good body on it. Engines are reliable but not very powerful. I have the 2.4L which tops out just under 200hp. It costs me in todays gas prices roughly $25-30 to fill up and lasts me about a week and a half.

How has the cars reliability been so far for you? Would you recommend it? Thinking about getting one. How is the ride? Quiet? I heard it was kind of rough.
It's a ok car, I know bcuz I have one. I just don't like the fact that it doesn't have good handling on taking corners , KIA should of dropped the car a little more to make it more of a center gravity while taking turns. And if you are gunning it at full throttle the car kind of slows down when u shift gears!
Yeah I've noticed that. I don't usually take corners that hard anyways lol but it is a smooth ride on the highway.
Yeah, it doesn't take corners well...it's an okay sports car. (I have one too and I love it!!!) but I'd keep it for looks as far as racing goes...I also have a 98 Eclipse (DSM-2.0L-16V-DOHC engine) it doesn't pick up as fast as my Kia but it rides very smooth and I takes Corners hard and fast and hugs them well!! Were as with the Kia, it feels unsafe. Once I drop a turbo charger in my eclipse "the Kia is definitely for looks only. It's a coool car though...my eclipse just has a more of a sport type feel and it's rides like a sports car better than the Kia...they're in the same class and my eclipse is obviously way older but it still stands it's ground well...

My brothers first car had keyless entry and keyless start.
stock is 173hp and I think 160tq. The 2.0 is 153hp but I have the 2.4. That is of course..for now. I have a few mods comin!
so pretty and I so LOVE those sexy back lights!......but you don't think its fuel efficient? .....and can you tell me how big the trunk is?

Im not sure. I know the SX is obviously fully loaded. I think theres a difference in HP and TQ too. I think the EX has a 2.0L, the SX has a 2.4
Ya I looked into it. Hardly any Sx in my area so a EX will have to do. Nice review of everything
Yeah thank you. the SX is nice I haven't been in an EX but I like the features of the SX and you can notice the power difference im sure.

Auto. But I can switch to manual with the gear shift or it has paddle shifters!

Right now I haven't done much of anything. Just changed the spark plugs and dropped in a K&N filter until I get the typhoon. and no but I will become a member now, thanks!

No i haven't. Didn't plan on much, plus i got some pretty extensive hail damage from last summer which left small dents al over my car.. kinda killed the mood to spend a lot modifying it lol

Yeah it might depend on the year but this 2012 had that option
