My stomping grounds -- grew up in West Dundee, the next town north. 60+ years later, my doctor/dentist etc are all still in Elgin. Can drive there with my eyes closed (and now I live 20+ miles east in Buffalo Grove, IL). For a period of time 1976-1988 I lived at 520 W Chicago St in Elgin 💖 -- the day the Watch Factory was demolished was horrible.
