      I don't get why all the hate and attack. Isn't America a land that respects freedom of speech. He has a right to his own views, Why is he being forced to apologise for a remark he said in the past, a remark that was sincere. Yes heterosexual men fear to have a gay son. Whats wrong with that remark. He is entitled to his views and is by no means a poster-boy for gay rights. Why is the LGBTIQRST or whatever they're called nowdays forcing this man to join their sect. It's not enough that he apologise , they actually want him to join their group and preach gay activism everywhere he goes. The leftist, George-Soros sponsored activists are out of control.

    I'm gay, I think he's funny. I'm not offended by his homophobic jokes from a decade ago. I thought comedians were allowed to make jokes that are offensive!! If we get offended by everything, we feed into the bull shit, we let ourselves become victims to something that really doesn't matter. I don't think he should have apologised at all. I respect that he has. I feel he doesn't need to prove himself to anybody. I think he has already. Everyone is attacking him for some old jokes. Why wasn't this brought up years ago? I'm pretty sure he apologised for his jokes and tweets years ago. So now he is again. He hasn't been telling any current homophobic jokes, he said sorry, more than once, he's not hosting the show, just accept his apology and move on. Let it go.

      Except he wasn't saying a joke. He was saying that if his kid came home "acting gay" or whatever that mean, then he would slap it out of him. That's not a joke. That's just him saying that he doesn't want a gay kid. He thinks being gay is wrong. If he's so true to himself, then he would just say that and let the public develop their own opinion about him.

    I applaud Kevin for taking this stand. He literally may have put a stop to the BS of going back to someone's twitter feed from years ago so you can force them to apologize to you for something that they might have said in jest. If you lack the emotional capacity to handle words, it's not Kevin's job to fix that for you. Go and see a therapist. Kevin is not R.kelly, neither did he kill anyone. His crimes are not even close to Harvey Weinstein and Woody Allen. So leave Kevin alone

      I would completely be fine w someone standing up to sjw and outrage culture and refusing to apologize. But in my opinion, this is not that. I don't think he should be crucified for. It or anything, but I think his old tweets definitely show that he did hold pretty anti gay personsl beliefs at that time. I thought it was sufficient when he said that people and their views change over time, but he kind of dug a hole for himself by saying that he wasnt going to apologize BECAUSE he already had before. And when you look at his old 'apologies' they only compound the idea that he held homophobic sentiments at the time. I think if youre a public figure and have done something blatantly racist, homophobic, or any kind of prejudice in the past, then it shouldnt be too hard to say im sorry and move on (unless they still hold those beliefs). Kevin acted like he was taking a stand against an outrage culture, that is very much real and should be addressed, but this wasnt it- people shouldnt have dug up stuff from years ago- but still the outrage he was getting was reasonable.

    • @Nathan-rt5vj
      @Nathan-rt5vj 5 років тому +7

      Just turn the cards around here, forget Kevin himself is black and instead of anti gay jokes he made anti-black jokes... like racist jokes. Like saying he'd beat up his son if he heard him listening to "n*****-rap music?" Cause that's what he said about his son if he found him playing with a dollhouse. I'm sure you wouldn't say "If you lack the emotional capacity to handle words" if some white comedian was going around saying deeply racist anti-black shit. It's just fucking wrong. Why is it any different from deeply homophobic shit? Check yourself.
      Also this would be over already if he just *actually* apologized. Remember when you were like 6 years old and you did something bad so your mom made you apologize to the other person and you said "I'M sOrRy" and then your mom said "NO, say it like you mean it" and then you said "I'm sorry" properly?
      That's exactly what's happening here with Kevin Hart but he hasn't got past the "I'M sOrRy" part.

The last public anti-gay comment he made was 2011 - not really that long ago! and he also said the reason he stopped telling anti-gay jokes was that the climate was more sensitive now - not that the jokes were admittedly homophobic or that that he was sorry for saying those jokes. totally disagree. the reason people disliked what kevin did is because just cause he's 'over it' doesnt mean lgbtq community stops getting hurt by these types of jokes. those people still have to continue to live in this world that tells those sterotyping jokes about them. it's like apologizing to your spouse for cheating on them and then saying 'i'm over it, i've apologized enough'.....just cause u, the one in the wrong apologized, doesnt mean the other person is supposed to automatically be ok with it. personally, i didnt see this story when it came out years ago. this is my first time seeing it. so yea, i appreciate a new apology--- but when the story came out this year, he DIDNT apologize- he said 'i already dealt with it' as if people who are hurt by it for the first time are irrelevent. it shows that he is arrogant and unempathetic to the plight of the lgbtq community. he thinks that if he says sorry (but doesnt act sorry) that that's enough. terry crewes explains it better than me. but i feel his self-righteous anger on this, and it shows he lacks humility.

But in reality how much of him of a puppet is he being when he's so resistant on actually just saying sorry we're people have actually lost their careers when they apologized or not. In reality I feel like he believes that apologizing will end his career therefore you would rather just want to explain how he's done with all of this move forward. I think having so many people backing him up to just apologize because I believe he would get everything he would want for doing that. However, I respect the fact that this is Kevin Hart's does the ocean and this is how he wants to conduct in Hollywood on walking on his own two feet and not rely on everyone else to save his career. So I get that and respect that.
