    cool advice, thanks. stay low and close the baseline - got it :D . Looks like with regular camera the picture is more wide and you look farther away. On iphone it looks more colourful and closer. For me both fine

      glad you enjoyed, yea the regular camera records in 1080 and the iphone records in 4k. For training videos outside this video is making me think that I should record them with my phone, it looks much better at least to me.

    Good video, but I think it's best to get a guy taller with you to illustate what you mean on defending him down low. Predominately 1 on 1 as if there's no team. Thanks!😎👍

    How do I deny a taller guy from the ball when I’m down low guarding them?

    • @bballcoachallen
      @bballcoachallen  3 роки тому +2

      by choosing which way you want to force the player, key or baseline and then guard him on the side you dont want him to go

    How to block jumpshot or fade-aways because i cant block them its unstoppable

    • @bballcoachallen
      @bballcoachallen  3 роки тому +1

      I wouldn't suggest to block them, more like contest the shots to make them as hard as possible to make

    • @bigl3208
      @bigl3208 3 роки тому +2

      I mean if you facing a taller player and he fades then it’s very difficult to block it. If you talking about a post fade and you really wanna block it then you need to know that he is going to fade it. So just first let him post you up not to much tho and then when he fades don’t put all your weight on him instead prepare to jump as high as possible and you’ll probably block it. Sorry for a long text and I’m not that good at English. I mean when I facing a player that post fades on me they don’t come up as high as I thought because they don’t get enough power shooting over their head and they instead lowering their shooting form.

      That’s why I am able to block it but if they have a very high shooting form or what’s it called then it’s pretty difficult to block it. Then I would just try to not get to their favourite spot and shot and instead try to get as much contest as possible. Btw when you trying to block it it’s a high chance that you’ll foul him because he’s jumping backwards and you jumping towards which higher the chance of him searching contact and drawing a foul. Just listen to the coach here he’s right it’s pretty hard to block a shot/fade I mean look at NBA it’s pretty rare.

    How do you guard demigods or at least slow them down? The only way I'm thinking is just driving them towards left or right depending on their non dominant hand and get help defence but any other tips?

    • @bballcoachallen
      @bballcoachallen  2 роки тому +2

      play them straight up, stay lower than them so you have leverage... as soon as you force them one way they will attack your top foot and get to the rim. If you force them to their weak hand is what good shooters want you to do because going to their weak side will allow them to have their shooting arm in line with the rim easier, and faster.
