I bought my classic Dr. Who DVD’s on Amazon for about $20 each or less about ten or fifteen years ago mostly on Amazon when they were new. I’m glad I bought them at that time when they were still in print :)

Ebay Who Crew! Great video Alex. Despite me having an ebay account, a majority of those prices are absolutely disgustingly high. I can't really think of what to say about them other than that really. Especially on that steelbook set going for $999.99. No steelbook is worth that much money to me regardless of how much that I love steelbooks. It reminds me of when I spent £200 on the series 9 one by itself after it went out of print a few years or so I think ago. I only got it at that price because it was the cheapest one available and I wanted it for my steelbook collection, I was lucky enough to afford it due to the amount of money that I have on my card, even though the price for it is disgustingly high and no steelbook is worth that much to me. Still though, great video Alex and I would like to see more videos like this 👍

Once I was browsing EBay for Doctor Who DVDs and it there was a listing that was fairly pricey and I took a look. It was the complete new who but they had it in those like slip books you put DVDs in and if you actually looked at the DVDs themselves, you could tell they were bootlegs by the over saturation of the colors on the discs.
eBay Who Crew I loved this video! Those examples and more are what I see all of the time when I hunt for DW DVDs and Blu-Rays. Judging by the other comments most had no idea that prices are this inflated. Shop around. Pay what is reasonable. Remember, the item you're searching for could appear at any time. These are some wild prices, it's often quite staggering how much of a markup things quickly get on resale, buying the action figures second hand on ebay is often an experience like this, because I think more than £25-30 for one action figure is something I can't justify, since there's never been a single figure that cost more than that at original price, most of the rare exclusive figures were averageing £15-20 per figure when they were new, so seeing them loose, selling for £60 or more is furstrating when I try to fill gaps in my collection. I do kind of get why people would want to make as much as they can, and demand drives price, but things like that, and seeing bluray sets that were £40 new reselling for £500 does seem a bit greedy to me.
Yeah. There's definitely greed involved when you get over triple the original retail price. Especially when you see sellers with multiple copies of an item, you know it's more likely they're not a fan and they're doing this for the money. Loose action figures, or sets with discs rolling around should not be able to be sold for higher than original prices in my opinion.
A few years ago. I saw the Rescue and the Romans for region one dvd at $399.00!! On eBay. I did not buy it. Lucky for me about a year ago. I found it for $15.00 at a thrift shop. Who Crew!! Edit: I did pay $103.00 for a dvd region one of Ghost Lights. 4 years ago. I then bought the blue Ray. I regret nothing! Who Crew!!
The most I ever payed for any DVD was about 80$ or so, I think it was for either The Web Planet or The Two Doctors, or maybe both, but I got most stories for 20$ or less thankfully

Hi Lewis! Just watched your NHS video and saw your thumbnails! I see you're learning how to cut characters out of their backgrounds and that's a handy technique! I use it on myself in my thumbnails as well! Nice big text and colorful elements make thumbnails stand out more, so it's cool to see you adding those in! Thumbnails take more time than most people think, but it's worth it as it's the main thing people consider when clicking on a video along with the title.

I wanted to pay £50 and it more than doubled when the auction finished. If you do a video like this again do it just after a release because scalpers don’t know what they are talking about with descriptions. Sometimes they don’t bother moving the box out of the way before they sell it

I got my complete UK classic dvd set and I'm happy not paying these crazy prices....To everyone...do yourself a favor get a region free player ...100 bucks for a region free Blu-ray (and dvd) player and buy UK versions of classic who. With amazon UK exchange rate and shipping you're paying on average 12-15 a dvd. You may hit a walk with some and buy from third party through Amazon UK (rare waves 2.50 shipping per dvd) but still better deal. Plus you can buy other shows and movies you can and can't get over here for a decent price.
