You guys are missing the entire point of this video. its not about the gh4, its not about the fancy tripod or the monitor/mic set up. common guys. its all about the cats.
I can only dream of the gear you're using now!! Super excited for your next video since I own a 600D and 6D :) thanks for making these kind of videos, they really help me out
what i like about your videos is that when you think the video is over you're like "awh man not so soon", but then it continues again for like 5 minutes. great content my fellow scandinavian neighbour
Your Videos are my favourite in the camera/gear world.. You show how its possible to Do so much without having to spend a fortune.. Imaginitive and creative...... Thank you my Friend..
Andyax is back!! I saw this vide the day it came out and forgot to leave a comment : ( great video as always, loved the cats at the start! Beautiful footage. Looking forward to the next one! (Just happens to be the exact same camera that I have recently bought).
andyax . great videos you have in your channel. thanks for creating such amazing contents . some of your review and product suggestions has been very helpful. keep posting contents... looking forward ...
Hey Andyax, will the DEC still fit the Yelangu cage when having added the rod adapter? Because it seems like the body on the bottom of the DEC Lensregain is going to be too big for it... Have a great day :)
Raphael Werner Media Prod. Because the rod system connects to the front of the cage rather than directly underneath it gets in the way of the LensRegain. If only they made it connect underneath instead, without protruding out the front! The SevenOak cage and the Came TV cage seem to be fine
Thank you Anders and Eskild. You have been so inspiring since February (month I have started watching your videos in loop when the kids were going to sleep. :) I'm repeating myself but yeah you guys are an inspiration and you should be paid for publicity because I bought pretty much all the stuff you showed us Anders :) Missing the Motion X2 but heh i'M starting somewhere at least :) Started with Canon 700D and now i'M with the GH4, DEC lens regain and Sigma 17-35. It is just awesome the footage I can do with those 3 things. Continue your videos both of you as I will be pressing refresh on my keyboard until you release a new one :)
Thanks, your comment means a lot! :) It motivates us to continue, and one day I hope we find a way to be able to do this full time. Good luck shooting :)
There's one thing I would like to ask you. Your youtube videos always seems to be 1 step above everything else in terms of quality especially those took with your GH4. I would like to know, do you plan to make a tutorial on what kind of codec / video compressor / bitrate you are choosing when it comes down to compression for final products / web distribution or are you always work in AVI/MOV until the very last thing then wrap it up in mp4 for UA-cam. A video about your workflow would be really interresting.
Depends how much is a "lot" to you. Noise isn't the issue but rather just lack of sensitivity to low lighting. 6D on the same ISO as the GH4 will pick up a lot more details in low light than the GH4, noise isn't really much of a big deal compared to the details you're trying to pick up, keep that in mind! And yes the GH4 low light is not super amazing, but it's not totally unusable as many people claim though you will have to go out of your way to use super shallow lenses with limited flexibility in the night shots. The question you should ask yourself is, "how often am I going to be shooting in low light?" Then you can decide between a GH4 or something like an A7S which doesn't have as great dynamic range or slow motion in my opinion, but a heck of a lot better low light!
Great video Andy, I'm building a rig like that for my Canon XC10 and Canon 80D....and after Christmas, hopefully my new Canon 1DX Mark II. I was going to get a 5" monitor but since this video I think a 7" will be better. Keep em' coming.
I think that adding a bracket or a magic arm from the tripod handle to the Aputure DEC handle would be cool so you can operate the tripod with two hands. I used a broadcast camera with two handles on the tripod, its very smooth using two hands.
your vidoes/film are soo good! I'm glad I found your channel :) by the way I need a field monitor ASAP, so I came across this and just bought it blind buy, since I need one asap. I'm going by your words, I hope i made the right choice on the field monitor! thanks I will stay tuned.
Nice setup my friend! I use a Gh4 with 25mm 1.4 lens, a manfrotto alu tripod, fluid head and a cheap konova k3 slider without a motor. Its a good setup for round about 2000€. But as you say, its not the gear but the story. Thumbs Up! regards Julius
Hey Andyax, that cage is also called the Neewer cage in the states (also 100$) it also fits the A7 series cameras. Just though that was neat fact to share
I enjoy your informative videos! I'm building my own rig and just had a silly question. What shoe mount adapters do you use to attach the accessories onto the rig? Thanks
First of all, i have to say : You are my jedi master. I have learn so much with your video ! Thank you so much for all. What kind of screw wheel are you using for mounting the DEC remote on the cage and for mounting the quick plate under the cage ? (in yout video, i can see a small ring just between the bottom cage and the top of the quick release plate). i think this is a hack because of the DEC. Can you give us some amazon links to buy these tools ?
Got here from the recommendations. The beginning of this video was shot so professionally, I thought it was an ad and tried to skip it.
You guys are missing the entire point of this video. its not about the gh4, its not about the fancy tripod or the monitor/mic set up. common guys. its all about the cats.
;)
Andyax How did you get the cats to be so awesome? are they yours?
Isaac Brown Completely Oblivious behaviour on all are parts for mistaking such truth.

Thanks André, I'm glad you like them :) I just hope you haven't seen the oldest videos, because they are not perfect look at all, hehe

I purchased the Sevenoak gh4 cage and it fits perfect with Lensragain. You can mount the adapter and lenses whilst in cage with or without rod system
very cool man! thanks for sharing!
Great video guys !

Wow, that Intro looks amazing! ;)
i didn't even have a gh4. came here just to like and support. great channel!
Very nice equipment!
GH4 my favorite small video camera right now!
I think that it has a lot of nose in low light, no?
Depends how much is a "lot" to you. Hey Andyax, that cage is also called the Neewer cage in the states (also 100$) it also fits the A7 series cameras. Just though that was neat fact to share
Great video. The cage you're using looks great and at a really nice price. Would you recommend this over other cages?
good video, ty
Nice setup and video! Are you running the audio from the shotgun mic straight into the camera?
I enjoy your informative videos! I'm building my own rig and just had a silly question. What shoe mount adapters do you use to attach the accessories onto the rig? Thanks
Sometimes I forget how beautiful the gh4's footage looks.
