- A short unboxing a review of the Aodhan Aff7 in 19x8.5 + 35 Mounted on Firestone Destination LE3 Tires, 235/55.
Mounted on my 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis LS.
Stock suspension "Springs."
No spacers are added to the vehicle. I will be adding 15mm Spacers to the rear once they arrive to fill the void.
The front pokes slightly. Could have gotten away with 225/55 or a 225/50 tire to prevent the tiny rubbing the occurs very minimally. I will be rolling the front fenders to have 0 issues. I wanted to preserve the comfort. The tires are touring tires so I think going down a size in the sidewall would have been okay,
Lugs have conical seats. I also have aluminum hub centric rings to accommodate the difference. Size is 73.1 to OEM 70.5
I posted this because there are not many good Aodhan Aff7 review videos. Also for some reason, the panther platform following community doesn't seem to know how to research anything... No offense, I just don't get it. - Авто та транспорт
I'm purchasing the same model from Aodhan as you have here for my 2019 Honda Accord Sport. Not only are they gorgeous wheels, but they are literally 10lbs lighter per wheel versus the 19" OEM wheels. That is a SIGNIFICANT reduction in un-sprung weight, so I'm hoping for not only better handling, better braking, but also a better ride, as the burden on the suspension will be greatly reduced. And that also means less wear and tear on braking/suspension parts. You made a GREAT choice! KEEP ON ROLLIN' !
Awesome choice. You're going to love them
Dayne, is there any difference in MPG and acceleration?
@@hasanfadhil6404 I havent measured it, but there is A definite difference in acceleration driving around town... it is much more responsive off the line, something I didn't expect. I guess less rotating mass makes the difference, and these wheels are 11lbs per wheel less weight than the OEM wheels.
@@daynevickers1079 crazy, my car has a staggered set so the fronts are 35lb and the rears are 39lb. I found a set that is about 19 front and 20 rear so that should make a huge difference!
Thanks for the vid
Nice wheels man, thanks for sharing. ..What size of tires did you go with?
Those wheels are dope. Reminds me of the fr500 pattern
Hey thanks man. They are pretty clean. Not a lot of panther people seem to be very well versed in wheels etc lol. Not like these are anything fancy by any means. I can see them being similar in a way to the fr500s.
@@MikeyMike0954 your welcome I like them a lot. For my car i would need more or less offset. Since i can actually run deeper dished wheels on my 99.
Unsure if I go with 19 x 9 or 9.5, should I go with 245? Is that going to stretch the tire like rubber band?
@@QuangLe-tj4ix 9.5 will be to wide
Do Aodhan wheels handle well on a car with a lowered suspension? Even labelled as rotary forged, I have concerns about them getting bent from potholes on the road.
Seem okay so far
@@MikeyMike0954 That include potholes in your area?
hey man how did it handle the potholes?
I avoid potholes... Lol. I've had a few bumps. No issues.
Get 'em ceramic coated.
