Go in, have ancients and a dds and have fun with your friends and just try to get a nasty d bow spec or something. Now? The crazy walking moves, the tick counting, etc... this is what happened to WoW PVE end-game. It all became parsing this and parsing that- the fun is gone for the average person but of course it stays fun for the hardcore pker. THAT SAID... if you're a hardcore pker and complaining about no one being in the wilderness... congratulations, you did it... you're feared and you're great at the game... but at what cost? Now you can't interact with your piece of the game as much. It's lonely at the top
i feel like what we need is a high defence & high risk anti pking option (something like a SUPER vengeance) for the pvmers out there that need to venture into wildy. It would also prevent the pvmer from attacking whilst super veng'd or something like that. The option makes it risky for the high skill pvpers to attack but also adds some balance again.
Maybe you should go in with nothing and explore to get over the fear, I mean. As long as you don't risk a lot you have nothing to loose, it can be fun to explore!

To add on to this, there's far too many confusing mechanics that make it easy to lure people. Beyond lvl 20 untradables are deleted, only dragonstone allows teleportation beyond 30, clans can coordinate death dot logins, you go from safe to dead in less than a few seconds. It's just bad and outdated game design at this point that wouldn't be replicated in todays day and age, PVP worlds are better, but still have issues.
wilderness needs more places like KBD Where you only have to go through wildy, and fight something out there, instead of using my alt to scout a cave entrance
I go to the wildy sometimes if I get a slayer boss task. Apart from that, I usually keep my distance. Not because I'm scared but I have to be on high alert it seems and I like being able to chill and zone out.
I have a funny story where last year I was working over my Wildy fear and went to atio to try to kill him and I got half a kill in before I died to the boss. I went back to get my stuff made it out of the boss room with 4hp just to get one shot and lose 1.4 million gp because I didn’t realize I lost all my charges in the staff I was using. I thought I was risking like 300k in supplies, I only had like 4 mill in the bank so I am avoiding the wildy until I get like 100m bank and I can lose 400k without blinking.
I’m not “afraid” of the wilderness per se.. it’s just annoying to be there. I don’t mind losing the 200k I’m risking. It’s the walking back/teleporting ever 2 kills at the bosses that gets annoying. Or the dying doing a clue thats inconvenient.

i use to love the wildy. note i play rs for so long 2003. i love to make pures. i didnt own a pc until 2006sh so i would play eather at shcool or the library in my free time. talking about slow lvling lol. my fav time pk was back when dragion long or dragon scimitar, dd,whips, magic bows and barrows granite muals weps was the main wep for pking. full back d hide or rune armor barrows and ancient magic. slayer was still new at the time. there was loads of peeps in the wildy. there wasnt any realy crazy combos yet to hit you for 120+ hp in 2 ticks. the crazyest thing was full dh with gmual for the spec. there wasnt really any skill you need to pk back then. i would fish to get a pk gear and go out to have fun atlest 1 a week more when i got my own pc. then doom day hit me they killed the wildy, hit me with a trade limit and some how made the wildy more dangerous with wilderness revenant ghosts. got to love it when all you want to do is go to mage bank for ardy and have to fight 153 rev that can tb,Ice Barrage, range,melly,spec, can walk through webs, eat and pray. and dont get me started with 3 rev team they had in multi combat zones that they could move out of and team you. it give me flash back when the chaos ele just came in the game lol. 10-40 people trying to kill it and a guild just run in and kills everone.

I don't play right now, only a few weeks over the last few years, but I know the WIldy is a no go zone that I always avoided when I do play. Almost everyone I meet tries to end me, and they always succeed, because I'm not a PvP player. I think players who are not afraid of the Wildy forget, for most players, if you get spotted by a PKer, you are dead, game over. There is no escaping freeze, you are not gonna prayer flick properly. Every hit is going to be 10-30 because you got bad armor and stats. The wilderness is only fun for a tiny percent of the playerbase who are not active PKers because it is not easy to escape a PKer. Yall make it look easy becasue you got dozens of hours of practice, forgetting that a lot of players can't even flick Jad.
My only complaint with the wilderness is that you HAVE to go into the wilderness ( with risk )to progress your account for too many things. Mage training arena is the main one that comes to mind but I’m a noob. I think one off goals can require wilderness entry with some risk, but I hate how a handful of crucial account goals basicly force you into the wilderness. I played back in the day, and I was decent at pking back then. Relatively recently started playing again and I’m just plain bad at pvp. I panic and I’m dead basically 100% of the time. People are too far ahead of me skill wise. Can’t even freeze log most of the time. That’s fine, I’ll ignore the wildy then. Continued playing but I ended up quitting after things I wanted to do, I couldn’t cause it required wilderness with risk. Mage training arena, clue scrolls, prayer without it costing a billion. I’d try to do Things here and there and it was just so frustrating as a noob. People would say the wilderness is dead, and I’d try it, and get killed 100% of the time, with the pker talking some toxic ish most of the time😂. I did see a couple “ gf “ s even though it wasn’t and they warmed my heart. In the end it was bad investments, bond prices, getting stuck in mid game, and being forced into the wilderness that led to me quitting.
Old wildy was dog water design and lots of people are just stuck with that old feeling. Old bosses absolutely messed you up and did not give out supplies like they do. Pkers could freeze you next to a boss that would hit you for unavoidable 40s while they were out of range of it.
The new way it's setup is garbage too, it's dumb design to gate PvM drops in PvP areas in general.. Got guys wanting to try to PK you for 100k risk or less generally at them... You can also set up an alt outside and have CCTV to instantly teleout, so it's more or less just a huge grief to have to bank every 20 minutes... That's not even to mention the wildy agility course & the rev caves and the new pirates scream private server though... and are heavily botted which is detrimental to the game.

Wildy is dead, youll only die if you either go pking (learn to tank, its super ez to survive 95% of pkers if you only have to focus on surviving) or if you dc or go to revs & dont have hard diary for insta tele. the devs saying "players dont knwo what they want" and RS has a history that is so clearly laid out im surprised if any dev would actually say that. Their idea of a good wildy update has been riddled with shit for years now. And even their "good ideas" take multiple revisions to get to a point of acceptable. The take that most opinions on PvP are misinformed is kinda hilarious even as an old comment too. Because devs often... don't play. But they say "your opinion isn't valid" because.. you don't PK for 100s of hours? Wildy is PvP interaction without the player being a PKer.
I just have zero interest in any PVP element within this game, that's pretty much why I never go into the wilderness these days. I used to enjoy it back in 2007-2010 however the game has evolved since then and I just don't see the appeal anymore in PKing. I have more GP than I know what to do with, so I don't really need any from the bosses found in the wilderness, and bot hunting just seems depressing, it's fighting an NPC with extra steps.
My honest opinion is that a vast amount of people are just humans and what I mean by that is that they are risk averse. It's not worth it to them to go boss in the wild for a pker to show up every two seconds. When there are plenty of other non-wilderness bosses, it makes it a pretty easy decision to just not go to the wild unless for a clue. I personally don't have much motivation to boss in the wild. I suck at pking. That's another thing as well. You said that the game is very different in regard to pking than 20 years ago. The methods to pk and anti pk are just so convoluted to the average player. The barrier to entry is high. The amount of time investment for an adult with an 8-12 hour job is too much. Nobody wants to hop on OSRS and get destroyed for the rest of the night just to be able to efficiently pk/anti pk when they go to the wild especially when there is other content they can do without getting wrecked by some toxic pker. That's how I see it.
You say that now, but when an iron loses HC status or items in the wildy, you're going to call them an idiot for going into the wildy and that they should be afraid.
That's kinda like comparing calling someone an idiot for being afraid to go on a normal established passanger plane vs calling someone an idiot for sitting in a stunt plane as it does the most ridiculous and dangerous stunts. HCIM SHOULD be extremely careful going in wildy. And that's coming from someone who did nearly all wildy clues, ma1+ma2 capes, bones on chaos altar on his hcim (only to die to galvek later, years ago). And irons should always pay attention to their risked items. That's common sense. But you can do all wildy bosses/revs with 75k-150k risk just fine.
I don’t go into the Wildy because it’s not worth dying, it should be high risk high reward. I felt like it has basically 0 reward for a shit ton of risk Especially as an Ironman player

There is just no good reason to go to the wild, it's rittled with bots, and we like watching pvpers cry like babies that they are bored with the wildy and it gets no updates lol.
As an avid pker, who is not very good. 99% of pvm’ers are good at pattern recognition. Not randomness of player vs player tactics. You can do the same puzzle 10,000x and of course you’re going to be good at it (inferno cape) But pvp is almost an entirely different game of anticipation and predicability. LMS exists so you can practice this without risk. It took me 3 months to consistently get more than 1 kill per LMS game. But it got easier. I got better. My clicks got better. It became less of a rock paper scissor and more of a coin flip with prayer.
Nothing to be afraid of in the wildy. It’s dead tbh. Just bring freezes, learn movement and don’t risk shit, ez. The wilderness is sick man. You want a voidwaker on an iron? Put in the work and risk it. And honestly, all you pvmers who cry about losing 30k in addy bolts, just bring an ags and venge and anti pk, you’d be surprised how many pkers actually suck out there and won’t double or triple eat your venge
Reading the comments here.. it's evident that nobody offering advice has any real experience in the wilderness (Shocker). Hot take; but anyone can learn to pk. Most people nowadays would prefer to never try something at all (inferno, coliseum, wilderness content, pking, etc.) than deal with being shit at it long enough to be good. 99% of the pkers who you complain about had to start somewhere too, and i promise you we all face struggles in learning something new. Maybe the problem is that people in general are so indifferent to actually facing any sort of challenge, in life or OSRS. There are also some really weird people out there who think pkers are actual murderers or thieves and it's beyond bizarre, or more likely just copium.
balance wilderness content by finding a way to autoban AHKers the second they appear? Or maybe make it so people can't make a real life living from pking in the wilderness by combatting RWT more effectively? Literally your only options. You could release the best content Runescape has ever seen, but if it's in the wilderness it's dead on arrival. It really is that simple.
ppl complaining about undead pirates lol.. crying cause they cant survive? ever heard of karils and dinhs bulwark? 6 sara brews? said themselves that its very low so it shouldnt be that hard to make it back to the edge no??? source: I killed over 5k doing exactly that and only died 3 times, all 3 of those times being before I decided to put on the karils and dinhs. that being said the bots are so out of control lmao I stopped going there for that reason. So complaints on that end are totally justified and I stand with them on that. I just decided not to be picky and use a magic longbow e while fighting, but even then another problem with them is that if you leave ANY item on the ground, every bot will run to your area to try and grab it. Then, they just stay there, forcing you to move and it becomes an annoying circle
The wildy is amazing as a concept. Its a shame theres too many people scared to try to learn pvp. All it is out there is bots, ahkers, genuine demons at pvp, and then shitters that risk NOTHING. As someone that picked up pvp after getting bored of mainscape its really disheartening as a casual pker out there
I just think it’s boring that I’m basically not allowed to do the wilderness content cause I will die. I do love pvp but this isn’t the way to bring pvp back into osrs cause it’s not real pvp it feels more like I’m cattle being hunted by wolves and I can’t defend myself the only option is for me to run. Also the wildly doesn’t scare me I just don’t want to do bosses with bad gear like d hide even though I’ve got max in the bank because I don’t want to die and lose it to a pker. I also don’t enjoy wildy pvm because when I die to a pker I lose all the loot I worked hard for and the time I spent getting it. Just not enjoyable.
People dont want to go into the wild because its a bots wet dream not to mention the skill ceiling is insanely high there so nearly all wildy content is very high risk with low reward. its even worse if you play on an iron which means you have to either dedicate an insane amount of time to learn how to pk at lms, again dealing with a bot army or insanely toxic people and if you play on mobile you are at an insane disadvantage if your opponent is on a 3rd party client. Going into pvp isnt worth it in any way shape or form, if pvmers had mechanics to combat the insane power creep that pkers have so they actually have a fair chance at tanking/escaping when dealing with multiple attackers then it would potentially be worth actually going into the wild, a defensive ootion where your character doesnt fight back but focuses defending against incoming blows reducing all incoming damage by lets say a bare minimum of 15% but can only be turned on and off in non pvp areas and have it as an untradable unlock from some post quest reward so its a bit of a grind. If we had something like that then i would consider actually going into the wild
Wilderness is just bad, to many people rushing pvms being toxic and way to many people trying to trick others for loot. It's not fun and way to sweaty for casual players. I just don't go in it.
pking is difficult, the skill to entry is high and there nothing that really teaches you properly. like how the older monster hunter games just threw you in and you had to figure everything out yourself.(they dont do that anymore) theyve added great pvm bosses that progress you into learning higher end pvm recently. there needs to be something similar for pvp. i was scared of the wilderness from when i was a kid until recently because ive now spent a good bit of time in it and can get away most of the time.
why no one farms wilderness? cause pkers are fucking annoying? most of them aren't even good they just prey on people who are pvming and aren't fighting back. only right way to pvm in wildy is to have a scout
The wilderness is dead because new players don’t get to experience what it was like pking with the boys in varrock multi. Like watching the burgers and seeing skill spec’s energy. Jagex needs to create something that encourages that type of pking.

Wilderness in my opinion was always pk only having bosses and end game gear there feels counter intuitive. You go to Wilderness to kill or die not to kill npc while a team of 10 log in to kill everyone in sight. I play solo for the entire game I don't like the fact some content is unplayable without a team. Or some items are unobtainable without a team

i would consider Alt account as a p2w mechanic for wilderness scouting on bosses. I only play one account as i cant afford more than one. I would say there are some respectful pkers out there and some toxic pkers. i just dont see why players feel the need to kill everyone even if they have little to no loot on them.

This wild scares people because it feels like the level of knowledge and skill to pk at a reasonable level is extremely high. As well, we always hear about people finding ways to trick people in order to cheese them for their stuff. Taking advantage of little known game mechanics to gain advantage. To me it feels like going into the wild as a novice is like showing up to a Smashbros tournament and cash gaming people. I'm not good at air dashing, I can't do 100 inputs a second and I don't know the game tech, I'm going to lose every time. The risk to reward isn't there and I get enough out of PvM and normal game play were I don't have to risk my stuff. In the really old days of runescape I used to pk with a clan sometimes. But back then, at least to my knowledge, there was much less skill involved. Everyone had on basically the same gear, you would pray switch and gear switch and DDS spec people. I don't even think there was combo eating back then. The most you would lose is like probably like 500k to 1mill or something in todays money if you died. People who go out in the wild these days are risking huge amounts when they pk and if you don't you basically don't stand a chance.

expand the wilderness so teams are spread out. Clans have time zones so some spots might not be as hot. Add on to the wilderness, make it bigger, more content.
Wilderness ruins for a PK'rs dream.. a multi entry maze in the middle of wilderness with a random loot chest spawning every hour in the centre... Can be an actual place PK'rs want to verse other competitive players..... Wilderness is too big and we need more fight zones with good escapes and obstacles... And make it actually worth hunting/protecting.
For future wilderness updates lets leave pvm and skilling out of it and keep the wilderness for pking. stop adding hot spots for ironman and bots to go so pkers can get free kills to make gp. pking should only be profitable if you kill someone risking pk gear. if youre complaining you cant make gp pking and youre not good enough to pk people in risk then you dont need to be in the wilderness.

I don't play right now, only a few weeks over the last few years, but I know the WIldy is a no go zone that I always avoided when I do play. Almost everyone I meet tries to end me, and they always succeed, because I'm not a PvP player. I think players who are not afraid of the Wildy forget, for most players, if you get spotted by a PKer, you are dead, game over. There is no escaping freeze, you are not gonna prayer flick properly. Every hit is going to be 10-30 because you got bad armor and stats. The wilderness is only fun for a tiny percent of the playerbase who are not active PKers because it is not easy to escape a PKer. Yall make it look easy becasue you got dozens of hours of practice, forgetting that a lot of players can't even flick Jad.
I like pking =( just don't risk very much and it can be a fun time
theres better games for pvp tho, risking any value of your bank is not a "thrill ride". it just preys on gambling addiction

My only complaint with the wilderness is that you HAVE to go into the wilderness ( with risk )to progress your account for too many things. Mage training arena is the main one that comes to mind but I’m a noob. I think one off goals can require wilderness entry with some risk, but I hate how a handful of crucial account goals basicly force you into the wilderness.
I played back in the day, and I was decent at pking back then. Relatively recently started playing again and I’m just plain bad at pvp. I panic and I’m dead basically 100% of the time. People are too far ahead of me skill wise. Can’t even freeze log most of the time. That’s fine, I’ll ignore the wildy then. Continued playing but I ended up quitting after things I wanted to do, I couldn’t cause it required wilderness with risk. Mage training arena, clue scrolls, prayer without it costing a billion. I’d try to do Things here and there and it was just so frustrating as a noob. People would say the wilderness is dead, and I’d try it, and get killed 100% of the time, with the pker talking some toxic ish most of the time😂. I did see a couple “ gf “ s even though it wasn’t and they warmed my heart. In the end it was bad investments, bond prices, getting stuck in mid game, and being forced into the wilderness that led to me quitting.
Old wildy was dog water design and lots of people are just stuck with that old feeling. Old bosses absolutely messed you up and did not give out supplies like they do. Pkers could freeze you next to a boss that would hit you for unavoidable 40s while they were out of range of it.
The new way it's setup is garbage too, it's dumb design to gate PvM drops in PvP areas in general.. Got guys wanting to try to PK you for 100k risk or less generally at them... You can also set up an alt outside and have CCTV to instantly teleout, so it's more or less just a huge grief to have to bank every 20 minutes... That's not even to mention the wildy agility course & the rev caves and the new pirates scream private server though... and are heavily botted which is detrimental to the game.

Wildy is dead, youll only die if you either go pking (learn to tank, its super ez to survive 95% of pkers if you only have to focus on surviving) or if you dc or go to revs & dont have hard diary for insta tele. the devs saying "players dont knwo what they want" and RS has a history that is so clearly laid out im surprised if any dev would actually say that. Their idea of a good wildy update has been riddled with shit for years now. And even their "good ideas" take multiple revisions to get to a point of acceptable. The take that most opinions on PvP are misinformed is kinda hilarious even as an old comment too. Because devs often... don't play. But they say "your opinion isn't valid" because.. you don't PK for 100s of hours? Wildy is PvP interaction without the player being a PKer.
I just have zero interest in any PVP element within this game, that's pretty much why I never go into the wilderness these days. I used to enjoy it back in 2007-2010 however the game has evolved since then and I just don't see the appeal anymore in PKing. I have more GP than I know what to do with, so I don't really need any from the bosses found in the wilderness, and bot hunting just seems depressing, it's fighting an NPC with extra steps.
My honest opinion is that a vast amount of people are just humans and what I mean by that is that they are risk averse. It's not worth it to them to go boss in the wild for a pker to show up every two seconds. When there are plenty of other non-wilderness bosses, it makes it a pretty easy decision to just not go to the wild unless for a clue. I personally don't have much motivation to boss in the wild. I suck at pking. That's another thing as well. You said that the game is very different in regard to pking than 20 years ago. The methods to pk and anti pk are just so convoluted to the average player. The barrier to entry is high. The amount of time investment for an adult with an 8-12 hour job is too much. Nobody wants to hop on OSRS and get destroyed for the rest of the night just to be able to efficiently pk/anti pk when they go to the wild especially when there is other content they can do without getting wrecked by some toxic pker. That's how I see it.
You say that now, but when an iron loses HC status or items in the wildy, you're going to call them an idiot for going into the wildy and that they should be afraid.
That's kinda like comparing calling someone an idiot for being afraid to go on a normal established passanger plane vs calling someone an idiot for sitting in a stunt plane as it does the most ridiculous and dangerous stunts.
HCIM SHOULD be extremely careful going in wildy. And that's coming from someone who did nearly all wildy clues, ma1+ma2 capes, bones on chaos altar on his hcim (only to die to galvek later, years ago). And irons should always pay attention to their risked items. That's common sense. But you can do all wildy bosses/revs with 75k-150k risk just fine.

There is just no good reason to go to the wild, it's rittled with bots, and we like watching pvpers cry like babies that they are bored with the wildy and it gets no updates lol.
As an avid pker, who is not very good. 99% of pvm’ers are good at pattern recognition. Not randomness of player vs player tactics.
You can do the same puzzle 10,000x and of course you’re going to be good at it (inferno cape)
But pvp is almost an entirely different game of anticipation and predicability.
LMS exists so you can practice this without risk.
It took me 3 months to consistently get more than 1 kill per LMS game. But it got easier. I got better. My clicks got better. It became less of a rock paper scissor and more of a coin flip with prayer.
Nothing to be afraid of in the wildy. It’s dead tbh. Just bring freezes, learn movement and don’t risk shit, ez. The wilderness is sick man. You want a voidwaker on an iron? Put in the work and risk it. And honestly, all you pvmers who cry about losing 30k in addy bolts, just bring an ags and venge and anti pk, you’d be surprised how many pkers actually suck out there and won’t double or triple eat your venge
Reading the comments here.. it's evident that nobody offering advice has any real experience in the wilderness (Shocker). Hot take; but anyone can learn to pk. Most people nowadays would prefer to never try something at all (inferno, coliseum, wilderness content, pking, etc.) than deal with being shit at it long enough to be good. 99% of the pkers who you complain about had to start somewhere too, and i promise you we all face struggles in learning something new. Maybe the problem is that people in general are so indifferent to actually facing any sort of challenge, in life or OSRS.
There are also some really weird people out there who think pkers are actual murderers or thieves and it's beyond bizarre, or more likely just copium.

that being said the bots are so out of control lmao I stopped going there for that reason. So complaints on that end are totally justified and I stand with them on that. I just decided not to be picky and use a magic longbow e while fighting, but even then another problem with them is that if you leave ANY item on the ground, every bot will run to your area to try and grab it. Then, they just stay there, forcing you to move and it becomes an annoying circle
The wildy is amazing as a concept. Its a shame theres too many people scared to try to learn pvp. All it is out there is bots, ahkers, genuine demons at pvp, and then shitters that risk NOTHING.
As someone that picked up pvp after getting bored of mainscape its really disheartening as a casual pker out there
I just think it’s boring that I’m basically not allowed to do the wilderness content cause I will die. I do love pvp but this isn’t the way to bring pvp back into osrs cause it’s not real pvp it feels more like I’m cattle being hunted by wolves and I can’t defend myself the only option is for me to run. Also the wildly doesn’t scare me I just don’t want to do bosses with bad gear like d hide even though I’ve got max in the bank because I don’t want to die and lose it to a pker. I also don’t enjoy wildy pvm because when I die to a pker I lose all the loot I worked hard for and the time I spent getting it. Just not enjoyable.
People dont want to go into the wild because its a bots wet dream not to mention the skill ceiling is insanely high there so nearly all wildy content is very high risk with low reward.
its even worse if you play on an iron which means you have to either dedicate an insane amount of time to learn how to pk at lms, again dealing with a bot army or insanely toxic people and if you play on mobile you are at an insane disadvantage if your opponent is on a 3rd party client.
Going into pvp isnt worth it in any way shape or form, if pvmers had mechanics to combat the insane power creep that pkers have so they actually have a fair chance at tanking/escaping when dealing with multiple attackers then it would potentially be worth actually going into the wild, a defensive ootion where your character doesnt fight back but focuses defending against incoming blows reducing all incoming damage by lets say a bare minimum of 15% but can only be turned on and off in non pvp areas and have it as an untradable unlock from some post quest reward so its a bit of a grind. If we had something like that then i would consider actually going into the wild

Wilderness is just bad, to many people rushing pvms being toxic and way to many people trying to trick others for loot. It's not fun and way to sweaty for casual players. I just don't go in it.
pking is difficult, the skill to entry is high and there nothing that really teaches you properly.

theyve added great pvm bosses that progress you into learning higher end pvm recently.
there needs to be something similar for pvp.

why no one farms wilderness? cause pkers are fucking annoying? most of them aren't even good they just prey on people who are pvming and aren't fighting back. only right way to pvm in wildy is to have a scout
The wilderness is dead because new players don’t get to experience what it was like pking with the boys in varrock multi. Like watching the burgers and seeing skill spec’s energy. Jagex needs to create something that encourages that type of pking.

Wilderness in my opinion was always pk only having bosses and end game gear there feels counter intuitive. You go to Wilderness to kill or die not to kill npc while a team of 10 log in to kill everyone in sight. I play solo for the entire game I don't like the fact some content is unplayable without a team. Or some items are unobtainable without a team

i would consider Alt account as a p2w mechanic for wilderness scouting on bosses. I only play one account as i cant afford more than one. I would say there are some respectful pkers out there and some toxic pkers. i just dont see why players feel the need to kill everyone even if they have little to no loot on them.

This wild scares people because it feels like the level of knowledge and skill to pk at a reasonable level is extremely high. As well, we always hear about people finding ways to trick people in order to cheese them for their stuff. Taking advantage of little known game mechanics to gain advantage. To me it feels like going into the wild as a novice is like showing up to a Smashbros tournament and cash gaming people. I'm not good at air dashing, I can't do 100 inputs a second and I don't know the game tech, I'm going to lose every time. The risk to reward isn't there and I get enough out of PvM and normal game play were I don't have to risk my stuff.
In the really old days of runescape I used to pk with a clan sometimes. But back then, at least to my knowledge, there was much less skill involved. Everyone had on basically the same gear, you would pray switch and gear switch and DDS spec people. I don't even think there was combo eating back then. The most you would lose is like probably like 500k to 1mill or something in todays money if you died. People who go out in the wild these days are risking huge amounts when they pk and if you don't you basically don't stand a chance.
If all people see is highlights of high hits. It can be understandable to be scared going into the wildy.

Wilderness ruins for a PK'rs dream.. a multi entry maze in the middle of wilderness with a random loot chest spawning every hour in the centre... Can be an actual place PK'rs want to verse other competitive players.....
Wilderness is too big and we need more fight zones with good escapes and obstacles... And make it actually worth hunting/protecting.
For future wilderness updates lets leave pvm and skilling out of it and keep the wilderness for pking. stop adding hot spots for ironman and bots to go so pkers can get free kills to make gp. pking should only be profitable if you kill someone risking pk gear. if youre complaining you cant make gp pking and youre not good enough to pk people in risk then you dont need to be in the wilderness.
