Willy Wonka was a scary character to begin with, sending out these golden tickets to lure kids to his lair and promising them tons of candy.
He also did use slaves to make his whimsical factory.

The scary part is that Veruca's literal downfall here is actually less cruel than the actual movie considering the movie implies she fell into a furnace and "totally didn't actually UwU" burn alive. Here she'd probably be dead a lot quicker.

Funny thing is- In this R-Rated version, ya’ll mentioned that Willy Wonka would just be a straight up serial killer, and you had a scene with Charlie killing someone. It’s almost as if when Willy Wonka said “I hope you enjoy it. I think you will” He might’ve sensed the similar psychopathic energy in Charlie-

yes but then again the fall was great and there was already a melting body in a microwave the scene after so it would be better to do a fall for death variety if you want to say that. But still an incinerator would be cool nonetheless

For someone who does vfx it continues to amaze how little film he’s watched. I’m embarrassed for him every time he says it. Which is basically every video.
Love that every single shot of Wonka is straight out of the original. He really sold the movie as a horror. So good.
My favourite parts are always the flute parts. And the Veruca Salt ragdoll moment

I love how there was no editing of Gene's acting necessary. Already such psychopathic undertones in the original. Haha.
Most amazing to me is that they didn't use the clip from the tunnel where an actual chicken has its head cut off. Yes, there's real death and gore in the original film.

The funniest part about that IMO is the fact that the scene cuts before they reveal what the flute is used for. In the movie it's used to call the boat, but in this version it just looks like Willy plays it for no reason.

In the remake, there's squirrels shelling walnuts. They tap on the shell and decide whether the nut is good or not. When Veruca goes down to the squirrels and gets attacked, one of the squirrels taps on her forehead and decides she's a bad nut.
Imagine a darker version where they decide she's a good "nut," so they shell her skull from her brain in a gruesome scene.

Its not a remake. Its a whole redo, called Charlie and the Chocolate factory. And both are absolutely amazing.
During the production of that part, they quite literally trained squirrels to open nuts.
Or if we continue the bad nut route, we could see Veruca sliding down to the incinerator, and we can see the entire process of Veruca being burned alive. Also the father follows too so double the fun 😊
