If Mecafe is running as an administrator you cannot do anything, however, if you remove the administrative access to it via settings you could have a better chance to uninstall without doing anything specific. This only goes off of a tablet which I had that came with it as well.
Didn't expect something I own to get the SMOOREZ treatment. I own a blue one, and they've always been this slow. Worse, there aren't any AOSP ports either. My grandmother mostly used it to read recipes while baking for a year, then stuck it in a drawer until her passing.

I had a 1GB RAM phone till 2022. More because I gave mine to my girlfriend and took that from her. She turned out to be for the streets so I trashed it in 2022 and finally bought myself a new one.

I had one in blue. I did not use it much because it was so sloooooow. I just had a look at it, after I saw your video, I noticed that the back cover was starting to get sticky, I had an even older tablet that actually was quite good at its time, I stopped using it because the screen cracked. Could see that the battery was swollen, down to the bin for electricity articles with these two. Also have 2 slow acre windows tablets.
30:31 that crash really was funny. I loves doing that in the old gta games. I am not sure if the cars in the new GTAs still crash in that manner where one car rolls backwards a long distance.
This was a thing (the waste at the streets) about 30 years ago, but then the state decided it will bring them more money if you have to order them to pick up the stuff, so they can make more money... (you pay them to pick up the stuff AND THEY sell the stuff later on at their warehouse). Good old times, when you could find free stuff at the streets to collect... You can also bring the stuff to their recycling center, but you are not allowed to pick up stuff you find there... (they got a lot of old electronics there, usually a container full of it)
had 1 of these tab2 for my autistic grandson back in like 2016 2017 and he had a blast with it until the screen cracked and we started getting him ipads...

The only complaint I have is that you did not back up the old downloaded software/games and yes I understand not at all saving the user data especially from being wacko children The APKs could have been saved for future use that's all As always keep up the good work and thank you for your videos

These Lenovo tablets remind me of the free LG one I got from my cellphone carrier around 2017 as part of a promo. It probably had similar specs, too. I thought it was great for UA-cam videos and basic web browsing, but the moment I tried to play even the most basic games on it, it crapped out.
I used the yoga version of that tablet as a media device. They really aren't good for much else. They used to be ok for streaming from a PC and would be if you had slow wifi, but I am using AC/AX. Ill probably use my old yoga as a homeassistant device. They really do have good speakers for a tablet that size and price.
I too also have owned 3 of these tablets at the same time, because they were so broken (1 wouldn’t turn on the second one overheated and the third one had a dodgy camera) after the third time of returning! Argos decided to upgrade me to the tab 3 a10-70f A tablet I used for over 3 years before upgrading to an iPad. Currently using an m4 iPad Pro 13, but I do miss that tablet wish my iPad cost £140 like my Lenovo did.
In germany we have something similar to hard waste called Sperrmüll. Funnily enough, its illegal to go through the waste and take stuff as legaly its still owned by someone else and so its considered theft. You can ask the owner if you may take it but you cant just do so without asking.
I mean to be fair there is a bunch of legalities with the hard rubbish but for the most part as long as you're responsible then it's usually not a problem.
Well I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this video. There isn't really anything bad about these tablets. They would have been good value for money when they were first released. I agree with you on the camera \ video tests. Perfectly acceptable. Of course the Devine Ms Ripley would look fabulous even in poorer cameras lol It's a pity that we can't really appreciate the sound tests. Even so it does still sound ok on my tablet. I like the screen too.. Perfectly acceptable even by today's standards on some cheapo tablets. Lol The responsiveness is something is like to know more about. The reset one seemed fine, but oh boy were the others sluggish. Yes I'd through them out the window of a moving car, well no not really in car too responsible to do something so environmentally irresponsible. Plus I could hurt a living creature which I would struggle to forgive myself. What is really like to know is would Lenovo slow their devices, similar to Apple, to get people to buy a newer product? My old Samsung tablet has become so slow even though I haven't added any new apps at all. It's become barely usable like these Lenovo tablets I keep trying with the idea of flashing a new custom ROM on it. Then seeing if it runs any better. Yes it would have to be a Go version as it only has 2gb of ram installed. I would like to see you try something similar on one of these units. I have a Huawei MediaPad on Android 6. I booted this tablet (it takes 10 minutes) . I opened UA-cam ( it takes 30 minutes) I installed a trash mobile game (it takes probably a week) In one word Tragedic
I had a lenovo tab 2 A10-70 model I got in 2015. Only difference it had to these is 2gb ram and a mediatek processor. Like these it got painfully slow around 2021 and I just stopped using it. Sometimes it would also fail to boot and then throw me into recovery mode. Even after a factory reset it was insanely slow. I downloaded a flashbench program and the read write speed of the internal memory was about 15MB/s so I think the internal memory was dying. These ones you have look like the model for the education market.
In these kind of tablets, I just remove the Google Services totally, restrict the process count to 4. As an app store I just install something else. After these steps they run perfectly fine and are totally usable.

Hey , can you try to get Lava phones from India? Like if I'm not wrong it's the cheapest dual screen phone available ryt now (20k INR approx 240USD) even it has a cheaper version for 15k INR approx 180 USD.
I have a Samsung tab 4 10.1 from 2014 It's still going strong but YT doesn't work anymore, so i installed v.a.n.c.e.d the screen is not that great but it gets the job done, it has 2 speakers but if you turn them on max, yeah they're struggling, but i sometimes watch youtube videos on it or listen to music.
Would you like to install android 9 ( lineage OS 16.0) on the tablet and test it? There is an img file that specifically built for the tablet with everything working, if its ok with you imma send it to ur email 0r where ever you say since its gonna be interesting to see how it performs
1GB of ram is so abysmal to work with. I have an old huawei p9 lite that has 2gigs and it struggles hard to anything other then browse stuff. And even then you can't multitask due to only having 2gigs. And that tablet only has 1gigs (300 mb free 😭) to work with.
I actually really like old lenovo tablet but the problem most of them so slow now Like my lenovo pb1 750m (lenovo phab 1) this tablet is I really like the size the problem is the play store now eat so much ram even Im not opening it that after downloading the latest update of playstore that make the tablet unusable Even with friends in Russia modding the tablet still not smooth because how old the tablet The specs is really bad 1gb ram and 16gb storage, some how mine still boot up my fake tablet from the same year is not even powering on I actually stop buying them for 5 or 6 years then return back with lenovo legion y700 2022 still fast, I only buy because this is the only Lenovo have the size of tablet I want little bit bigger from my original lenovo
All "features" like dolby atmos, 360 etc. are nothing but software crap that just offset channels by 5-10ms to just give illusion of "better stereo" or add weird echo to make it sound like its in big room... so basically make it worst. To have good stereo you just need good speakers, its really simple as its just like with cameras. If you add weird software processing you make it look like painting with weird punchy colors or contrast.
I always factory reset devices that I get from ewaste and stuff. I want to get rid of all the data on them. The owners should wipe them before getting rid of them but most of the time they don't. I'm just being respectful that's all.
I say at the end though that it's a yes and no when it comes to being tacky. I put it down to how slow it is being the main reason and why Lenovo would put McAfee on it knowing that would slow the already incredibly slow tablet down. Also tacky tablets is just a name, it's just a series in which I show tablets :)
considering the specs, why does this tablet even exists?? 1gb of ram is just dumb lol, especially if is a child to use it. the camera was fine and the display as well but it's a 6/10 tho, too slow.
@userless_world_9540 lol you know what's funny? I got my asus zenfone in 2015, with a quad core that now is as slow as this and it was more expensive too! It's a shame tho, I kinda liked the screen on this tablet. Oh I forgot to say that my zenfone had 2gb of ram, and it's still slower than this 🤣
I have a Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 that was given to me by my father back in 2015: played a bunch of games and watched several UA-cam videos with it, but I intentionally dropped it from a third floor back in 2017 which ended up damaging the volume buttons, the glass and probably part of the back cover but still worked, and sent it to be fixed a few months later but the touchscreen started to go nuts after a year, and in 2023 I found it again but it refused to go past the "Powered by Android" splash screen... at least it somehow received a update to Android Lollipop when I found it while still working in 2021 (sorry if this comment was long)
it’s funny you said the browser wasn’t slow enough for you to throw it across the room the first time, cuz I definitely would have as it was before you started installing stuff on it. god cheap tablets are miserable and I swear they’ve barely gotten any better in the last decade. I genuinely can’t believe google allows these things to be sold with android with the amount of damage devices like that have done to their brands reputation. how many millions of people have had bad experiences with them who will buy apple devices for the rest of their lives as a result.

With AOSP (and most importantly, without GMS) this thing would still be somewhat OK to work with. Such a shame it isn't available.

I had a 1GB phone in 2013, the LG P895 and it always struggled to do anything.

also whats weird is the dolby app doesnt work for some reason and sometimes wifi and bluetooth bugs out and i have to restart it

Cheap tablets have become really good! I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM for just over 200$.
I used the yoga version of that tablet as a media device. They really aren't good for much else. They used to be ok for streaming from a PC and would be if you had slow wifi, but I am using AC/AX. Ill probably use my old yoga as a homeassistant device.

Try a S-COLOR A10s Tablet.
These things are great to use as a GUI to Home Assistant, maybe mounted to a wall or something.
Did you try using the developer options to make the tablets run smoother

According to Geekbench this CPU is a little slower than the MT6580, so I'm not surprised at the performance (or lack thereof).

try using something not metal for the speaker test, even on good speakers it sounds like a loud mess of frequencies.

In theory you could replace that samsung 1gb chip with 4 or 8 gb but Lenovo says good luck Buddy with rework station
1GB of ram is so abysmal to work with. I have an old huawei p9 lite that has 2gigs and it struggles hard to anything other then browse stuff. And even then you can't multitask due to only having 2gigs.
And that tablet only has 1gigs (300 mb free 😭) to work with.

The specs is really bad 1gb ram and 16gb storage, some how mine still boot up my fake tablet from the same year is not even powering on
I actually stop buying them for 5 or 6 years then return back with lenovo legion y700 2022 still fast, I only buy because this is the only Lenovo have the size of tablet I want little bit bigger from my original lenovo

I'm writing this comment on a Lenovo Tablet, and at the side of the road, is the BEST place for it! ... Absolute garbage!
All "features" like dolby atmos, 360 etc. are nothing but software crap that just offset channels by 5-10ms to just give illusion of "better stereo" or add weird echo to make it sound like its in big room... so basically make it worst. To have good stereo you just need good speakers, its really simple as its just like with cameras. If you add weird software processing you make it look like painting with weird punchy colors or contrast.
Time to move to Australia.
you may be able to run PMOS on it. and use it as a computer, that's now slow af

I always factory reset devices that I get from ewaste and stuff. I want to get rid of all the data on them. The owners should wipe them before getting rid of them but most of the time they don't. I'm just being respectful that's all.

that's legitimate. not really a tacky tablet if they come from reputable company like lenovo
I say at the end though that it's a yes and no when it comes to being tacky. I put it down to how slow it is being the main reason and why Lenovo would put McAfee on it knowing that would slow the already incredibly slow tablet down.
Also tacky tablets is just a name, it's just a series in which I show tablets :)
considering the specs, why does this tablet even exists?? 1gb of ram is just dumb lol, especially if is a child to use it. the camera was fine and the display as well but it's a 6/10 tho, too slow.

@userless_world_9540 lol you know what's funny? I got my asus zenfone in 2015, with a quad core that now is as slow as this and it was more expensive too! It's a shame tho, I kinda liked the screen on this tablet. Oh I forgot to say that my zenfone had 2gb of ram, and it's still slower than this 🤣

I have a Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 that was given to me by my father back in 2015: played a bunch of games and watched several UA-cam videos with it, but I intentionally dropped it from a third floor back in 2017 which ended up damaging the volume buttons, the glass and probably part of the back cover but still worked, and sent it to be fixed a few months later but the touchscreen started to go nuts after a year, and in 2023 I found it again but it refused to go past the "Powered by Android" splash screen... at least it somehow received a update to Android Lollipop when I found it while still working in 2021

it’s funny you said the browser wasn’t slow enough for you to throw it across the room the first time, cuz I definitely would have as it was before you started installing stuff on it. god cheap tablets are miserable and I swear they’ve barely gotten any better in the last decade. I genuinely can’t believe google allows these things to be sold with android with the amount of damage devices like that have done to their brands reputation. how many millions of people have had bad experiences with them who will buy apple devices for the rest of their lives as a result.
I am laughing SO HARD that you couldn't play a freemium mobile game because their server was down.
