Godiva’s Secret Wigs was the site that I found as a new wig wearer.
I like that Rochelle and Danielle try on the wigs so that you can see them on different face shapes. And their videos are fabulous just for the info that mthey give.
My first wig that I wore out of the house, with confidence, was a Godiva. There was no holding me back after that.
The wig world is HUGE. There are many reputable sites and many manufacturers from all over the world with wigs with many different features.
There are two main types of fibers: classic synthetic and heat-friendly synthetic.
It has taken me years to find what I really like (and quit wasting my time, money and energy).
And I’ve found that my tastes have changed over time.
You look lovely in that Taylor, btw. Good luck on your You Tube journey.
If I were to give you any advice, it would be to watch a ton of UA-cam videos. You have content for a niche audience that I have not run across before.

Learning about online platforms, and wigs and ring lights is a lot. I dont think I could do it without my kids, they have been soooo great all the way.

I have 2 Taylor wigs that I absolutely LOVE. They looked very natural on you . I have like 10 total pieces from Godiva so far from wigs to toppers and I love them all.
I just ordered my fist Taylor topper! I’m waiting for her to arrive! I own 20 GSW I love them. I’ve tried others but they were nothing compared to GSW. Taylor looks great on you btw. Good luck on your wig and UA-cam journey ❤

It can be a bit addictive huh? LOL But, its cheaper then going to the hair dresser. I hope you are loving the four wigs that you have. I know I am finding I tend to reach for certain wigs more often then others. My favorite Godiva Wig is Rochelle.

Thanks for the great review! Taylor (spring honey) was my first wig as well. I also learned how to cut my bangs from GSW vids. I also love Madison. I have her in creamy toffee and maple sugar. LOL on right handed: as long as I dont touch a curling iron, I just kept burning my forehead LOL (ouch, some of my burns took a bit to heal lol) so that is why I gave up doing my own hair. I love GSW video's too, sooo helpful. I wear Taylor more as I think she fits my business style dress for Dog shows. But Madison is a favorite to just wear! Today Im trying Rocelle to my dog show as it is going to be hot. As I get more comfortable wearing wigs I'll venture into the blonds. :) Oh, do you feel Spring Honey has any strawberry blond in it??

Happy you found a great wig place. I own four Godiva wigs. I see you are using a brush ALOT!!! Where as I use my fingers.. Taylor looks great on you
Because I am "left handed" and have a severe injury (if I lift my left arm, my hand goes numb and I drop what Im holding, I have a little time, but not much. It's also painful to lift my hand); the brush is often easier in my right hand than my fingers, but I am learning to use my fingers too. Depends on the wig on if I use a brush, comb or fingers. It's been a long journey learning to use my right hand. Thank you for commenting :)

FYI Godiva’s white labels Noriko wigs, renames them and usually jacks up the prices. The Mimi’s Wig Boutique channel has live videos every Wednesday at noon CST and they then upload the live to watch anytime. They are a brick and mortar store in Dallas and carry several brands of wigs. They try on all different lengths, styles and colors for you to see. I have heard this about Norika/GSW from a few people now. I am new, so I dont know. It did make me purchase a few similar and so far I can find no comparisons, Noriko fits me a tad better. The cuts of Norika wigs are very differen't to GSW in my limited experience. The caps do not look the same, at least on what I am recieving. I love both brands, and tend to have a lot of each, but for sake of comfort in public for my first month I tend to be more comfortable in GSW. Again, Im very new and just having fun trying different styles. I have two Mane Attraction Wigs now, and a few other brands Ive yet to review. It might take me awhile to find my favs. Thank you for your comments and sympathy, this was such a life changing accident. Wigs are really helping me join the land of the living again. I have always enjoyed doing my hair and now being left handed I just burn my forehead using the right hand. So Wigs to the Rescue 🛟🥰

I also find it hard to find wigs in brunette colors especially the color I like. I have a
Godiva Secret wig in coffee latte but to me it has too much of the blonde highlights, it's the Nicole wig. I especially like the mono top because I feel they look so much more natural than machine teased. The ginger brown is closest to a medium brown which I have. I would buy more of Godivas wigs if they offered more mono tops in the brunette colors. You look very nice in the Taylor wig. Look forward to more of your wig reviews :)
Thank you :) I did spend a lot of time flattening Taylor down on top of my head, so I agree with you. I ordered (Im at a dog show, but I think it was Alexa) that wig lays really flat. I might order her and cut her shorter so I have one long and one short as she looks soooo natural. I order a few different styles in Coffee Latte however the blond is not always as bold (depending on the wig), Ginger Brown is my go to for a nutural look, soooo beautiful.

Thanks for your video.. Godiva secrets was the first one that I found also but I have yet to order one from them. Taylor is the one that I was interested in. I'd really like to know what the part looks like... Does it have little dark knots or do you not see what looks like scalp?
You can't really see the scalp. If you want a mono top or a LF you could try Diana. But I prefer Taylor as I dont like LF, I do like Mono tops though. Taylor was my first wig out of the house, I have her in three colors. My favorite wig by GSW is Rochelle. I love her bouncy curls at the shoulders. But im back and forth between Taylor and rochelle. I use my hands to flatten them both at the top, as I don't like a lot of body on the top of my head. Your scalp wont show unless you get a mono top, and Im perfectly find with that. People are really surprised when they find out I am wearing a wig, they just have no idea. I think getting comfortable at home the first few days is best after you decide. I have a few brands now, my advise for a first wig would be theres for sure, just for pure ease! When Im going someplace new, or doing something I am unsure of I find myself reaching for Godiva Secret Wigs. I can't really say why, ...I adore my Noriko wigs, but I'll admit for peace of mind I reach for GSW's. Granted I am new, so maybe that will change in time. Good luck 🍀
@@WigsoftheWeek I was under the impression that if a wig does not have a lace front then it's difficult to cut bangs that will go straight across the forehead? I thought maybe they would tend to want to part? But, I see that you did cut bangs in Taylor. Did you have any issue getting them to stay in place or not separate? Also when you wear the wig do the ends get all tangled up?

I wear Taylor all the time, I have washed her once. I have never had any tangle issues at all. I cut bangs into all my wigs with zero problems. (Even when they have bangs, aside from one I think) i still have to trim them to my perfered length. Someone requested I show example on youtube of my cutting the bangs. I have one working arm but my son said he would try and help me set up next week so I can make a video to show how I am doing it. Taylor works great with bangs, zero problems, I go really slow and take my time. But its worth the end result. :) I was very worried the first time I did it but Im happy i did :)

Thanks for sharing! Do you think Coffee Latte in general appears as a lighter shade than Dark Chocolate, because of frosting? Might be ordering it because I ordered Taylor Top in Dark Choc and it was too dark for to blend well with my hair. But Ginger looks too red and Marble looks too blonde, on my computer anyway. Hoping Latte is all the way around just a bit lighter than dk. choc. and will work.
I have posted a video if you are interested showing all the brunette shades that I currently own (both inside, and outside under sunshine). Hopefully this will help you see if there is red shading. 🥰
