      Of course you need to pour the flower first, let it cure and then as a backlayer the crackle effect. For the crackle effect it is best to use medium viscosity resin❤️

      This technique is not so difficult. Just use some transparent colored resin (I mainly use resin inks) and pour a pearl mica powder on top and just let the resin do its magic. Do not use the headgun because you may destroy the pattern 💜

    These are fantastic and innovative! Thank you for doing many of your resin videos in your beautiful English, Petra. I like hearing the German but can't understand enough to get all the details. I admire those who can switch from one language to another with ease. Anyway, I love your double technique here and I will try it soon. I've never done a 3-D bloom so I think I'll try this one as my first. I adore the purple and green, but just to make it my own, I believe I'll try some orange and green colors inspired by the coming of Herbst. I hope I can do it.

    Thank you so much for this video! I tried the technique yesterday, and while I’m excited about the results, the white background didn’t come through. I only see the colors of the flower. Is there something I can change to make the mica show through more, and to show the crackle more instead of scaling instead? Thank you!

      What products did you use and how did you pour? ❤️

    • @mbdwilson
      @mbdwilson 8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Petra! Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I used Let’s Resin Epoxy Resin, Let’s Resin alcohol inks, and Let’s Resin Seashell mica powder. Instead of pouring side to side, I did a puddle pour in the middle (after adding the alcohol inks mixed with resin to a different cup layering the colors). Then I poured the mica in the center of the alcohol ink puddle pour. Should the resin, etc., be a certain temperature, and should the bloom be completely set before pouring the alcohol inks and mica on top? I hope I am explaining myself correctly.

    • @petragerbracht
      @petragerbracht  8 місяців тому +1

      @mbdwilson you need to let your bloom pour cure first. Then you can use medium viscosity resin. Mix your alcohol inks pour and then on top the mica. I made more videos with this effect ❤️

      @@petragerbracht I tore apart my office. Moved bookcases I can walk between with all the supplies in them. Moved a huge bench and put the old oak printer stand on the bench. Now it holds the tumbler curing machine and turner. Heat sublimation press fit beside the old stand. Got a new printer stand to hold all 3 printers and will hold either the Cricut or Silhouette. Haven’t decided which one yet. Then just need to take the old computer tower out of the rolltop desk and hook the new one up in its place. The room is 6x8 foot. Small really. But I’ve crammed lots into it. I’ve 3foot between the rolltop desk and a small desk I use for resin and the tumbler turner. Took me a week to move everything. I still have to paint it. Lots of work.
