Former appliance guy here. You wouldn't believe just how easy it is to fix most of those that are currently out of order. I can tell you right now that about 95% of them, if not all of them, are fixable for WAY less than you'd pay to replace them. (less than $50 per machine)
yep but everybody in modern days thinks stuff is old junk if it has to be "fixed",,,, hence the throw away world with overrun landfill dumps we have, I love stuff that people give up on for not just fixing it, just got an AWESOME deal on a couple old welders, one was an old Lincoln 225 (called the tombstone effectionately by most) and a newer yeswelder arc 205ds (newer china made that ain't so bad actually), didn't need them just couldn't pass them up for a mere $100, the Lincoln had a 6 gauge 20foot industrial extension on it that is about $200 alone, it had the leads but no ground clamp on the one and the electrode holder was in rough shape, anyhow a couple hours of fixing (the cooling fan had quit in the Lincoln), replaced the cooling fan with one from an old broken heater I had instead of paying 65$ for one from lincoln and it is bigger and moves more air than the original so that's a plus for more colling right there, while I had it appart for 15$ I converted the leads to the dinse 35-50 connectors so the leads can be detatched when not in use or need replaced instead of permanent like they come from the factory, a bit of cleaning and a can of red spray paint, replace the missing ground clamp with one from harbor frieght for 15$, put new cover plates to replace the burned up ones on the tweco electrode holder (less than $10),, and now I have a welder that functions and looks like new for less than $150 (free if you figure the price of that extension cord) that would be a $700 welder to buy new, as a bonus converting to the dinse 35-50 conectors on the lincoln alows the leads from it to be used on the yeswelder I got in the deal (it was missing the electrode lead),, a little cleaning on it and it now looks and works as good as new and for a china welder works pretty darn good I may ad,,, OH yes I love peoples cast offs,, my place is filled with them because unlike many I am not lazy and love saving $ by simply spending a bit of time doing the fixing,,, and today even if it's something you don't know we have the internet where anything can be looked up and learned about for free, I had to pay good money and sit for hours in a classroom in college to learn my trade (auto mecahnic/machinist),,, wish we had internet back before I retired would have made working on stuff getting parts and lots of things so much easier.

Some plastic part got worn out. He Basically said all the new washers are junk. No matter which brand you buy. He said the best thing we could do is go find us like a 10 year old washer from the used appliance place the next town over that fixes them up and resells them. He said those things last forever. And he works PSEG.

The answer for the merch is.... single load washers go away. Build merch counter behind retail counter and push retail counter forward so the merch doesnt block the view of keeping a eye on your machines and or whats going on in your laundry/tanning shop.
Cameras make the need for that go away, they also can record things that happen so your memory doesn't have to,,, just getting rid of the dead machines just like he is planning is the way to go.
if you have extra parking lot space you can get a pod or conex box dropped there to store extra merch, that might be the best way rather than bringing it back and forth so regularly

You should put a camera up at the laundry mat, so when your fans visit they can leave a message. Every so often you compile them and share them. Your brand is smile more. Every message is more inspiration to the next person!
I wouldnt build a huge merch wall, you dont want to block the view from the register to the rest of the laundry mat, and customers will probably feel more comfortable walking in and immediately seeing available washers/dryers instead of a giant wall of clothing. Maybe build a merch wall that doesnt pass the machine on each end. Just a thought! I’m Enjoying this different type of videos! Definitely planning on making the 5hr trip there soon too!

You need to buy a strip plaza or shopping center that has a larger store to move your laundromat to and use one to open a tanning bed store, and then you can rent out all the other stores to pay the payment and make a profit, and then you can sell that building or rent it out. $$$$$$$$$

I’m so proud of you guys! You are making such good business moves! I’m so happy you guys are doing daily vlogs again, and inspiring us because you’re lighting a fire under me. I’ve always wanted an athletic clothing brand and then eventually get into investments and other revenues of income. I have so many ideas I just need to start putting in the work to make things happen. I have had the smile more logo tatted on my wrist for a few years now, such a great daily reminder. Still to this day it is my favorite tattoo. Just the impact of positivity and inspiration over the years is so astonishing!

Was in a hotel lobby waiting for the band. This nice older woman was waiting there for her husband and son and asked what I was doing. We got to talking. I told her my favorite band was staying at that hotel too. The drummer came down and she goes “is that someone from the band?” I stood up. Said, yeah, and immediately sat back down and said “I’m too scared!”. This woman grabbed my arm and dragged me over to him lol.

Make a big smile more display in front of the counter and redo the counter where you can have merch or youtube items/memorabilia below the counter in glass. But be careful balancing the merch and the moneymakers.

I’m so proud of you guys! You are making such good business moves! I’m so happy you guys are doing daily vlogs again, and inspiring us because you’re lighting a fire under me. I’ve always wanted an athletic clothing brand and then eventually get into investments and other revenues of income. I have so many ideas I just need to start putting in the work to make things happen. I have had the smile more logo tatted on my wrist for a few years now, such a great daily reminder. Still to this day it is my favorite tattoo. Just the impact of positivity and inspiration over the years is so astonishing!

13:43 This was so sweet. I’ve missed out on meeting celebrities I really loved due to anxiety. I actually had a random stranger drag me over to my favorite drummer lol. Was in a hotel lobby waiting for the band. This nice older woman was waiting there for her husband and son and asked what I was doing. We got to talking. I told her my favorite band was staying at that hotel too. The drummer came down and she goes “is that someone from the band?” I stood up. Said, yeah, and immediately sat back down and said “I’m too scared!”. This woman grabbed my arm and dragged me over to him lol.
Go to a truck stop for DEF they have it at the pump and sometimes it’s cheaper than the bottles in the store.
