My ex husband had a gambling problem. He took out a lot of loans to gamble with. It took his whole salary to pay his debt. This left me paying for everything and we had 2 kids. He called me controlling because I wouldn’t let him have access to my money. He left me for another woman and filed bankruptcy. I was left paying $10k that he cash advanced on my credit card. Gambling is definitely an addiction that destroys a person’s life.

I've been addicted to gambling for close to 12 years. I spend about 3 to 4 days a week at the casino. It helped me pay off my house, pay off my wedding, and pay most of my Audi Q7 off. @@Mint-kj9kw ehh I disagree. The majority of gamblers are. But some of the best people I've met are gamblers. I counted cards with a team early in my casino days, and those kids were the some of the smartest and genuinely good people I've ever known. They've all taken their winnings to fuel their businesses and grow their lives, would love to have one last hoorah with em. My point is there are obviously an overwhelming majority of degenerate gamblers. But to say all gambling or gamblers are bad is a very eneducated and ignorant thing to say. There are smart people out there to leverage the game in their favor. It's just business.

Casinos are the devil's playground because that's where people become addicted to gambling if they win a few dollars. You win it you lose it. It's a vicious cycle! It's like using an illicit drug for the first time, the euphoria of the high is so phenomenal, it keeps you coming back for more and before you know it, you're an addict. All it takes is one time and it's the same for gambling! Your very first winnings can get you hooked and turn your life into a living hell, and you will lose everything including your family. A gambling addiction is like any other uncontrollable addictions such as: drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, pornography and it needs an intervention for rehab and the power of God to defeat it. The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. That's his only mission.
