Those are exactly what I’ve been looking at. Glenn Fricker (you know, pickups don’t matter dude) suggested these a while back. My buddy got some of these and I can say first hand that they are amazing. Very impressed
Despite my novice attempt to capture the source audio, I think on the graph you can see how well they reproduce the full range of frequencies. Definitely impressive!
I got the Kali IN-8’s and couldn’t be happier. I’d be hard pressed to find a better monitor at double the price. I’ve been curious about these for mobile recording. I haven’t done it in a while but it would be nice to have a reliable set of speakers I could lug around and not worry if I damage them. These seem like a good contender.
if you like the Kali monitors, then I’m sure you’d like these. they’re very similar to the LP6 voicing in a lot of ways.
I use a powerwerks PA with my GT1000 lined into it when I'm at home but I don't do any mixing or DAW recording work. It sounds pretty good when recorded with my phone right in front of it

I have those Kali LP-6s. Lobe them. Best (read: loudest and clearest) audio I've had, and still have, is from a 2-+-year-old Logitech Z-5500 5.1 "computer" speaker system. Like, blur-your-vision, change-your-heart-rhythm loud. Seriously. I have a pair of JBL 305 MkIIs and the Logitech puts it to shame.
Have you tried the Kali Lone Pine Ultra Near Fields? They're still a larger option, though. Around the same dimensions as your Lone Pines.

Love your channel for the simple fact you branch out to studio monitors. Could we get a vid of studio headphones with similar quality . Some just cant justify so much for monitors

Interesting way to showcase the monitors by showing how you mix differently. I think that the problem on having the sub on the ground is the phase cancelation
What I would be worried about is how precise the low end is when the subwoofer is standing on top of the desk. The low end will obviously be much louder when the whole desk is working like a huge membrane, and every desk will have it's own sound and issues. I would probably try placing the subwoofer on the floor even though they say that it's supposed to be on top of the desk.
Let me get under this rock and get this Kali system, sounds brutal 🤘🤘🍕🍕

Taylor what monitors sound best with amp sim plugins with IR's?
That really depends. With studio monitors you typically want something that translates well - meaning you know if it sounds good on them, it will sound good anywhere. That's why so many use NS-10's, which are pretty horrible sounding speakers on their own. HOWEVER, the kali stuff is really good at translating AND sounding good TBH, I don't think you can go wrong with something in their line up.
Thanks for the info taylor and i also wanted to know the speakers that sound best between the Kalis and Mackie monitors that sound better with Amp Sims and IR's?
@@jimsimmons2674 I’d say the quick and dirty answer is the Kalis are more accurate and better for mixing, but the mackies are more pleasing to listen to

Pretty sure Apple Music’s key demo is music producers who work on Mac and have to pay $10 for iCloud music storage, but also get Apple Music with it and don’t want to pay another $10 for Spotify 🤷♂️

Yeah, if you're in the ecosystem it's a no brainer.. until you try to share a link to music with anyone and they use spotfiy 😂 I have both right now, but likely cancelling Spotify soon.
