Old school WWE wrestlers looking at this like, “this wouldn’t have even been a blip on the radar of conflicts when I was active.” This probably wouldn’t have even warranted a conversation with Vince in WWE, much less a firing.
This would have been handled in wrestlers court in the old days
They’d have been dragged in front of the Undertaker who would have chewed them both out for being unprofessional, dished out an appropriate sentence and told them to settle it or he’d do it for them.

When Jim Cornette and Vince Russo are on the same page on Khan, you know it's bad.
Tony Khan, using 8 month old footage, to retaliate against a CM Punk interview, where Punk said exactly what happened. Then uses it to promote a match at a PPV where none of the participants in the match are in the video, and none of the participants in the video are appearing on AEW tv. The only thing TK did right, was to get people talking about AEW, unfortunately it's just not the way he wanted.
And the footage showed exactly what Punk said happened in the interview so they didn't even discredit anything he said 😅

This makes aew and TK look really bad. obviously perry said something disrespectful and punk wasn’t having it. this thing was over dramatic. I wish we could see the omega fight though lol at the end of the day TK should have had the balls to tell that dumb kid no instead of trying to make others do it.
All this did was make CM Punk look honest, exactly what he said happened on Ariel’s show is exactly what happened as shown on the footage.
This did nothing to help AEW. What were they expecting from this? They were getting CM Punk chants in the arena. Then when they uploaded the segment to UA-cam, they cut the backstage video out.

I mean it looked mostly as Punk said though he did claim he went for Jack because "don't let them get too close" Jack was literally fixing his hair when Punk started on him. Don't get me wrong this is all Jack's fault but Punk is clearly the aggressor in the backstage Jack might be mouthing off but he certainly didn't start anything physical.
How did Tony fear for his life from this? Punk was to big for aew that's all, and some of them could not live with that..

It was a fun breakdown and wrestling is definitely interesting right now and bringing in lapsed fans/new eyes with all this ufc/tko/no more Vince era. It's like the wrestlers finally got control of the company. It was a good discussion/breakdown and put me on to stuff I didn't know about CM Punk/AEW etc.
Always share your passions, maybe a top 10 most metal wrestler themes video? Especially in the attitude era days of ppvs and albums. Kane finger eleven, limp bizkit and undertaker....Hardy Boyz to Rhea Ripley. It would be cool to see some video essay type stuff about how they have always been intertwined. Didn't Disturbed have a version of the Stone Cold theme at one point? And remember the band Cold was always featured on ppv soundtracks, 😆

AEW need to stop with this carni WCW stuff. If they just focus on putting on good wrestling and storylines and correctly introduce indie wrestlers on their roster to the TV audience and fill in the backstory so everyone can follow then they will gauge everyone's interest like they did in 2019-2021 at their peak. I think they could have a bloodline level story right now with the bucks and Okada that could really take off if booked correctly especially with all the time they still have before Omega returns.

If that happened it would be one of the biggest things ever IMO. I think some of the feelings in the past aren't there with current ownership. UFC has always been collaborative. It sounds like smart business. Certainly benefits AEW to have 'beef' with WWE.

@@RockFeedThat’s not true. HHH, Bruce Prichard, and Nick Khan still run WWE. It could be like ECW when Paul Heyman developed Stars and sold them to WWE. WWE has more talent than they need. WWE has had issues building their talent to become the face of WWE, which is why Roman had such a long run. Nobody was worthy of of leading WWE. Cody Rhodes has the story and has been made the face of their brand, but they need a good young Heel, such as MJF, who will end up in WWE soon; regardless. AEW is a shit show; literally.

Punk's MMA "background" was exposed as shit when he got owned bad not once but twice. And he was lucky that Mickey Gall is such a gentleman, cause he could have turned Punk into a pretzl.

i dont really watch wrestling anymore, but as someone who (unfortunately) has been in alot of street fights, if you are having a heated argument with some, and they suddenly lift their hands like jack perry did, i probably would swung at him too. its hard to tell exactly what happened though since the frame rates so low.

Punk is a narcissist. He's driven by his ego. He's manipulative. He's quick to criticize people for doing things that he also does. He's never the bigger man. He not only stoops to the level of his enemy, but he goes lower.
AEW clearly hs issues. It's why Cody left. At the same time, CM Punk has issues. He thinks he's better than everyone in every way. There is no humility. I think early on he thought that a bunch of grown adults, Punk included, could iron this shit out themselves. Then, he let Punk tear into his coworkers publicly in that post-PPV scrum, which led to the fight. He went out of his way to be hostile from there on out.
You can be the bigger man and reach out and squash things. You can choose to put your feelings aside, but Punk won't. He expects everyone else to, but he never has and never will. He will never be the first to disengage. He will escalate every time. That's why don't feel sorry for him and am no longer a fan. He let me down and I know now that all that shit he said about us fans during his hiatus was true. He doesn't give a shit about us. He doesn't care about wrestling. He just cares about getting his ego stroked off.

But I think the business has changed and gotten bigger and more corporate and yes mini scraps like this have happened a lot in the past. But times have changed and you can’t just strike someone you’re disagreeing with. And punk never mentioned that he struck first in the interview. Team AEW

TK definitely needs to be more of an authority figure than a fan for sure. However, Punk needed to show more leadership while in AEW starting with the "media scrum". Both parties are guilty of screwing it up and people need to move on at this point.

Jack Perry obviously attacked him on a personal level, probably including words about his wife and other things to get CM Punk that upset.
