I have an XB41 and out of the box it does sound muffled, treble boost in the EQ helps a ton. JBL sounds better though, XB41 with tweeters would be the perfect speaker for me personally. Could you do a follow up test with some EQ tweaks? Would be much appreciated!
Andrej Rubljev like all speakers, at absolute maximum volume, none of them sound good. But when you put it 2 notches down from maximum, it performs fantastically. No distortion, and no harshness, it can't get much better than that!
I have used XBass with default settings, cause this is how Sony sells it. Using Sony‘s EQ wont let it sound better then the Xtreme 2... The XB41 sounds simply way too muffled
if you increase treble it simply sounds not right. It is missing detail. The Xtreme 2 sounds much better overall. The Xtreme 2 is not a very loud speaker. It sounds best between 30 and 80 % volume. But the XB41 doesnt sound good at high volumes too, cause it looses too much bass...
techkiste.net cant agree i made a custom eq with the songpal app and my own music player. like 10db bass boost 10db treble boost in the app 2kh-7kh treble boost 3db and 8-9kh reduce 3 db because theres a peek and 10- 12 kh 5db and it sound punchy and not even muffled! its like bit bass boosted and flatking treble mid!
In real world use no one's going to say "oh that Sony speaker lacks highs." people only care about loudness and upper bass boost. I just don't like how playing music through a speaker that distorts like crazy people say they have bass just cause of distortion
Another thing, this test does not consider the mode in the Sony speaker. It is a fact that the standard and the live sound in the xb41 does not sound so great (not the same case of the xb31 where the Live sound is awesome), it is important to say that the Extrabass mode in the xb41 sounds pretty good, and with just a little change in the EQ in the Sony Music Center applications sounds even better. Of course, even with that clarification, JBL might sound better, however, there are other features like battery, design, lights, and price that could change the choice. In my case, even when I liked more the JBL sound, it was a better option for me to buy a XB41 and a XB31 in my country.
Aryan Singh the Xtreme has only two active speaker like the Sony... The other two are passive bass radiator. And sony have two of them, too :) The Xtreme only has two Tweaters more then the Sony. Sony has zero of them.
You can Boost the treble in the App. The Speaker totaly outperforms the xtreme 2 then. The extreme measurures very unneutral because of the emphasis in treble.

Sony better, because the extra bass mode increases the low tones, so when the speaker plays at 30%, you can hear more low tones than the others, but you can hear nice bass, which is not JBL when you give louder bass in JBL increases. In Sony music center I set bass: +10, mids: +3, treble: +10 and I think Sony sounds perfect. The louder you give the more high and medium tones can be heard. That is why I always listen in extra bass mode because I hear strong bass when listening quietly

Um dies zu realisieren, wird jeder Lautsprecher zunächst bei der angegeben Lautstärke (hier 50%) mit einem neutralen Mikrofon aufgenommen. Anschließend werden aufwändig die Lautstärken auf einen dB genau angeglichen. Nur so ist es möglich mit guten Kopfhörern einen möglichst realistischen Klangeindruck zu bekommen. Würde diese Lautstärkeanpassung nicht vorgenommen, so würde (psychoakustisch) der lautere Lautsprecher subjektiv als besser wahrgenommen werden. Hier soll aber objektiv der Klang bewertet werden! Daher würde ich mit Begriffen wie "asozial" etwas aufpassen und mich zunächst mit den Gesetzen der Akustik auseinandersetzen! Jemanden zu beleidigen, der sein Geld und seine Freizeit in solch aufwändige Videos steckt ist etwas unfair, meinst du nicht auch?

I just bought the Sony xb41, when you turn your the treble, it sounds spectacular!!! Loud thicc😉 bass with detailed mids and highs
