Great video!!! I don’t understand why the sync button is so controversial because no one really knows when you use it unless you are showcasing your knob and fader moving actions. As long as you are transitioning smoothly you won’t get too much flack unless you aren’t using turntables with vinyl…. Blablabla there is always something for people to complain about. You explain some great uses of the sync button. Personally I use it for the exact reasons you explain- like when you’re in a tight spot, or when you want to throw more tricks in the mix. I used it first because it was easy and then manually beat matched because it’s fun to do between playing tracks, but no one cares that you use that forbidden button but trolls. You are a mentor to me bro- I’ve leaned and am continuing learning…. Keep it up p,ease!!! I want to subscribe and hit that bell every time you post til I realize I already have! Keep posting!!

Teach me how to use that Sync button for the bpm only not the beat
I used to run a DDJ400, and the sync button would take a 174 song and match it to an 86 (@ 172)... Now my XDJ RZ will take a 174 song and drop it to 86, to match the second track. Is there a workaround for this?
I started out 40 years ago with vinal and none of the technology we have today. So to me sync is just another tool, what are you doing when you use pitch control etc to get the track in sync, yes you are beat matching in sync same as the button. Get over it all those snobs try having what we had 40 years ago, you are very lucky.
What about Rx3 ?
But if i have a song and i Press beat sync then the voice is getting messy on the new song

you have to click on the MT button in the software in the circle right to the bpm , it will turn red :)

Please explain. So technology is going forward, in a few years AI will do all mixing job, and people should stay in one place and dont use Sync button because is not real DJ? I would use sync button all the time. Who cares who mixing song ? This Is like you cannot use automatic gear in the car because you are not real driver you should use manual shifting ?! Total nonsense. I would use everything that makes my work easier for me.
Totally agree. Mixing manually doesn't prove you are a good dj. It's the selection of your tracks and how smooth you do the transitions. Every other thing are just details. Get over it. It's 2024. We live in a technology age.
The people who matter don't care if you're using sync. The crowd isn't gonna suddenly stop dancing if you said you're using sync
